"Nice and clean beach."
February 12, 2017
Recently opened, this picturesque beachfront property makes for an excellent escape resort. Located on the northern part of the island on a private beach, the resort enjoys a peaceful setting. Guests also enjoy views of the island of Phangan and the Angthong National Marine Park in the distance, both of which are a must-visit for diving. All rooms at this property come equipped with a Jacuzzi, and staying true to their name, the toiletries offered are inspired from the Mimosa plant itself. Despite their contemporary design, the resort is equipped with side bars, making it accessible for both the elderly and the disabled. The resort offers beachside dining, perfect for long meals and intimate conversation. With thatched roofs, stark white walls, and a beach just steps away, you might never want to leave Mimosa Resort & Spa.

Great place and very quiet as the area is limited with hotels beach side. ”
Enjoyed the stay here as the staff were excellent and always very helpful. The place looks good and may need some upgrading in a year or 2 but no real problems. Nice and quiet so very relaxing and the beach was good but not the nicest beach we been on but enjoyable.
Loved our week here, the hotel is small and comfortable. The staff are friend,y and helpful. The location is perfect, right on the waters edge on a beautiful stretch of quiet beach with the most amazing sunsets. I heard that a guest complained about the size of the swimming pool... I’m not sure why, it was plenty big enough. In the week we were there I only ever saw a maximum of 2 people in the pool at any time. Most people swam in the warm, clear sea! I would love to come back here to the idyllic spot.
I and my family had wonderful time at Mimosa Resort and spa. Everything and everyone there made us happy. It worth to spend money, you will get more than you pay :) I told staff, accidentally, that I come here for vacation beside 10th years anniversary. They prepared room on second day and serve us very delicious brownie! After we check out, our children did not want to back, little one cried, staff gave him little bear doll! We love Mimosa, if we go to Samui, no other choice, only Mimosa in Mind :)

A hidden gem on this otherwise overcrowded over party island”
A hidden gem on this otherwise overcrowded over party island. That’s the only way I can describe this place. We’ve been to the silent four times and the North Shore is by far the nicest and least crowded. This resort has the best customer service I’ve ever had. Nei & Lim The rest of the staff are to be commended. The beach is amazing on the town closest by this a lot better than going to the eastern side of the island. Enjoy your stay here it’s certainly worth a trip. S Bogart
Mimosa is a great spot to enjoy a relaxing, quiet, retreat but with sufficient services to truly enjoy a great stay. If it is your first time to Samui you may prefer the crowds and traffic of larger centres like Chaweng. Mimosa enjoys a location on a clean beach, a distance from the touristy areas that in my opinion deserve a few short visits. There are lots of nice areas to visit on Samui and Mimosa makes a wonderful base from which to do just that. Staff are great. facilities are more than adequate and the restaurant is better than average. My "go to" spot in Samui when wanting to get away from it all.
Beautiful resort! Will definitely be returning here 😘”
The hotel staff are really friendly and accommodating. The weather was not so kind to us but hey such is life! We were stuck at the airport on our way back to BKK and called Mimosa and asked if we could come back for another nights stay at 2am and the were happy to help accommodate. The restaurant has amazing views and the also have a private beach and we also had a jacuzzi on our balcony 😊
Away from the hustle, excellent beach”
If you're looking for chilling and an unhurried, time detached holiday - this is a good resort, its away from the hustle, has an excellent beach and one can literally spend the whole day in the pool from where you can have an excellent beach view, in fact just pop out of the pool & into the sea. As far as rooms are concerned, they are interesting, no beds, just a raised cement platform on which they keep a king size mattress - bathroom also has a nice design. It is amidst a lot of flora, so you must be prepared for a lot of mosquitoes. Staff, although not adept in English, are very friendly and keen to attend - restaurant has a very limited menu but whatever they have is excellent. Breakfast, however, is a major disappointment - no choice and most is bland. Wi-Fi only works in your room and is clunky at best, but it wasn't as important for us but could be for others.
What a beauty”
A boutique hotel, where staff are friendly and attentive without being in your face. The Manager makes a point of interacting with guests, which makes you feel welcome and at ease. A stay here creates lasting memories. Thanks Mimosa
Truly relaxing, homey atmosphere boutique hotel”
I chose to stay at Mimosa because it is far from the city and offers quiet environment by the beach. It is located right in front of a very quiet beach- takes less than 1 mins to go to the beach from your room! Restaurant and pool by the beach are fantastic. Open air, good music, attentive staff. I ordered Mimosa salad for lunch and it was the best salad I ever had in the whole stay in Thailand! It is super tasty.... I strongly recommend it if you stay here. There are not much around the area, so you need to take a taxi or rent a bike or borrow a bicycle to get to the nearby town in Mae nam. I went to go check local food market by bicycle (15 mins) and got amazing package of Thai green curry and seafood salad at only 100 baht! (=about 3 USD)... if you can handle spiciness of Thai herbs, you should definitely try packed food from the market! Overall, I really enjoy the stay here and would like to come back again.
A Nice hotel with added extra”
The staff were quite helpful and friendly. The amenities in the room are quite nice. The location of the hotel is great if you want a quiet side of the Island and seems to be ideal for honeymooners and young families too. Once small con was housekeeping need to replace used glasses and cups when they clean rooms. I mentioned this staff so hopefully they appreciate the feedback.
Lovely hotel @ great place of location ”
Stayed there 5 nights to relax, discover koh samui and enjoy the beautiful beach. New hotel (approx 2 years). Breakfast, pool and deck-chairs in front of the beach with view on Koh Phangan, Koh Tao etc.
Love the place”
The stay was great and we really enjoy it there. Will definitely go back in the future. We was a bit shocked when we're on the way to the resort, feels like we are gonna stay in some kind of run down place in some village because the resort was located on the beach which need to go though the village. But when we arrived there we was quite surprised, the resort look very clean and nice (the room too), staffs are all very friendly. Free rental of bike from the resort is very thoughtful but the bikes need maintenance like brakes and chain oil. So the next day I rather rent a motorcycle for 250 baht. Food at Mama Moon (restaurant nearby resort) is alright but wasn't that great like all other review say (price is very decent). There's another restaurant along the road but I don't have chance to try it. 7-11 is just right at the main road which you won't miss it. Massage & Spa in the resort is great but very expensive, although there's "two for one price" promotion but I think it is still overpriced. There's a few massage shops along the way to the main road, I've tried one with sun burnt treatment and it was fantastic, really help with my toasted back after snorkeling. Price is good, 400 baht for an hour.
I had six nights at the Mimosa - a very enjoyable time from the moment I was met at the airport until my departure. Good snorkeling over the reef right in front of the hotel - or a coral--free swimming a few metres west along a sandy beach. Evening Happy Hour and mojitos were fun!
Mimosa Resort & Spa”
I have a very good time in the hotel from the time I check in. The staff is very supportive and helpful. She guided the place to visit and enjoy lunch. I got the Jaguzzi lover suite with the honeymooner request. The room, spa, fitness, playground and other decoration is very nice. I got the letter from the hotel to try the special dish which is fantastic. The punch tasted good. I would recommended my friend to enjoy a vacation here for sure.
+ Nice and welcoming staff + Great breakfast (wide selection incl. lot of fruit) in the restaurant directly by the sea + Nice 'infinity' pool by the sea + Nice spacious room + Snorkeling equipment lend for free - Narrow and not really nice beach (neither good for snorkeling) - Restaurant overpriced - Hotel is in the middle of nowhere - there's not even a proper road to it
Lovely location and staff but not a 4 star hotel”
The hotel’s location is magical and the staff is friendly but, It is advertised as a 4 star hotel and is really more of a 2-3 star. As such, if you are expecting to get a 4 star residence you may be a little disappointed as the place is getting a bit old and is, unfortunately, in real need of renovations. This being said, if you want a relax and quiet place, then you’ll probably have a lovely stay.
Thank you for your recommendation. However, we would like to inform you that being a 4 star hotel does not mean being a luxury hotel only. 4 Star resorts can be separated by style of decorating (which our resort is boutique style, not luxury style) and facilities in the resort which we have all in the standard to be a 4 star resort. Our resort is established around 8-9 years, then we accept that condition of our resort is not a new hotel. However, we have maintained any continuously to be in the good condition to service our guests well. You may not find new condition in any places, but you will find clean and good condition (almost) instead of. Besides, it is high season during Jan - March every year which we have a lot of guests staying with our resort. Maintaining some which makes noise to disturb guests cannot be done in this period. We find a few places or positions which we want to fix but we cannot do now because it will effect with our guests. Sorry for this inconvenience.
Not at all like anticipated”
Driving down a dirt road to a totally isolated 'resort' we were very skeptical. Jacuzzi in room was not as clean as it should be . Behind building containing our room was a wet area full of growth and water buffalo grazing, a breeding ground for mosquitos. No restaurants nearby and Walk to main road was down a dark dirt road. We were not impressed. Left immediately and found a different resort that was much nicer and cheaper. I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone.
When our GRO (guest relation officer) escorted the guest to the room, our room maid decorated a bed and a Jacuzzi bathtub with flower because guest's agency informed us in advance that they have their anniversary during this trip. Then, we decorated both bed and bathtub well before guest will check-in. Then, it is impossible for guest to see this bathtub for a few seconds from the bedroom to the balcony which the bathtub is settled and think it be dirty (because it is full of flower petal). A dirty road (in term of a guest) is not a resort's private road, it is a public road which is not a part of our resort. Besides, it is not a dirty road because there is no any garbage on the road. It is a road which is not a concrete road, then there is some dust from the environment on the road. Behind the building, there is a public lagoon which there are a few buffaloes which a local person feed them. However, there is no mosquito to disturb the resort's guests which our resort always check.
Stayed a week with three other couples, all attending a wedding at the neighboring Belmond Napasai”
Amazing staff who were super helpful and friendly. 30 min taxi to Chaweng, 15 min to Fishermen Village. Beautiful setting right on the beach. Scooters conveniently available for hire at reception.
very good hotel, nice service, clean rooms, tasty breakfast, but a very expensive restaurant. There are however plenty of restaurants near by, much cheaper then the one in a hotel, therefore except of breakfast strongly recommend to find an alternatives
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
