Recently opened, this picturesque beachfront property makes for an excellent escape resort. Located on the northern part of the island on a private beach, the resort enjoys a peaceful setting. Guests also enjoy views of the island of Phangan and the Angthong National Marine Park in the distance, both of which are a must-visit for diving. All rooms at this property come equipped with a Jacuzzi, and staying true to their name, the toiletries offered are inspired from the Mimosa plant itself. Despite their contemporary design, the resort is equipped with side bars, making it accessible for both the elderly and the disabled. The resort offers beachside dining, perfect for long meals and intimate conversation. With thatched roofs, stark white walls, and a beach just steps away, you might never want to leave Mimosa Resort & Spa.

Beautiful, clean, it's a boutique type resort”
My husband & I chose Koh Samui for our 33rd Wedding Anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mimosa Resort & Spa. We loved our Jacuzzi Pool Villa. The manager, Watt organised fresh flower petals to mark our anniversary on the bed, a fruit platter on arrival & we had a beautiful private romantic dinner for 2 on the beach. Mr A. organised this and I recommend everyone to do this. We booked return transfers with the hotel direct. Mimosa is a place if you want to get away from it all, so if you want the night life then you need to go elsewhere. We hired a car & we loved the experience to explore the island.
As first time travellers to Thailand in particular Koh Samui, we weren't familiar with the island. Mimosa is set on a beautiful quiet part of the island, built on the bay with adequate facilities and excellent accomodation, hospitality services. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with day trips, tours and many sight seeing opportunities within other parts of the island. This resort was both picturesque and true to what is advertised - if not even more beautiful in real-life. Our trip was an ideal escape residing in the Jacuzzi pool villa with the upmost privacy and western comforts. The Spa treatments were fantastic. If you are seeking peace and inclusive accomodation Mimosa is for you. Location wise the resort is around a 15 minute cab to restaurant strips including the Fishermans Village or a further 25 to Chaweng. If you are seeking nightlife and accessible location amongst the hustle of Koh Samui this is not the correct part of the island. Highly recommend
I and my family had wonderful time at Mimosa Resort and spa. Everything and everyone there made us happy. It worth to spend money, you will get more than you pay :) I told staff, accidentally, that I come here for vacation beside 10th years anniversary. They prepared room on second day and serve us very delicious brownie! After we check out, our children did not want to back, little one cried, staff gave him little bear doll! We love Mimosa, if we go to Samui, no other choice, only Mimosa in Mind :)
Relaxing Peaceful Stay But watch out for Lady Boy”
Stayed 7 nights at Mimosa. The location is quite isolated and around 1 Km walk to the main road. This resort has only been opened since Feb 2010 so everything is virtually brand new. Would need to hire a vehicle to get around but the resort had all you need, beach, beautiful gardens, good food, gym, children's play room, spa, etc. There was a car accident down the road which had cut out the electricity supply for a couple of hours and the management were is helpful in keeping us up to date and as a goodwill gesture, offered us a free upgrade of the 'Lovers Suite' and a free aromatherpy massage in there spa. Loved the waiters and had a good time at breakfast, the dining area is on the beach and looking out to the ocean - stunning!!! I would stay at Mimosa again and would recommend to friends and family.
The best resort experience of my life”
Our 13 night stay at Mimosa was amazing. The staff were attentive, the restaurant had many choices, and the private beach was lovely. We intentionally stayed away from the party district of Chaweng and Lamai, so if you want to be a little more connected to civilisation, be prepared to pay for travel or renting a motorbike as the main towns are at least a 20 minute drive away. Our room had a private plunge pool, private deck, an outdoor bath and rain shower, so we were well and truly looked after in terms of the 'resort' aspect. Mimosa does a great job to cater to both families and couples, as there is a children's play room in addition to the massage and spa centre and gym. It is a great place to kick back, relax and enjoy your time away from everything. I would definitely recommend Mimosa to everyone.
The best staff we ever have ! Very calm, far of the noise road. Our room number was 111”
The best staff we ever have ! Very calm, far of the noise road and the stink. our room number 111 was the better in this resort its was even too much big for us four persons. We spent one week it was short. When we left this paradise we have cried... miss koh samui and Mimosa resort. We never forget it.
Expensive, but amazing”
This resort is top-notch as far as facilities, service, location and beauty! It's away from the touristy part of Samui (Chawang) but this also means less options for food / shopping. You will be paying more for everything at Mimosa (food, drinks, rooms, spa) compared to the rest of Samui, but if you're willing to spend some extra cash, this resort is well worth it!
Great Hospitality & Serene ”
At first i would like to start with the fact that all the staffs of Mimosa Resort and Spa were very friendly and hospitable. Room: We opted for the Lotus room with Jacuzzi (room 201). The room was spacious and neat and clean. The bathroom was small but no complains as the Jacuzzi was big enough. The room has an attached balcony and sun beds on the floor of it. Dining: The check-in starts at 2 p.m. but we arrived at around 9/10 a.m. Since our departure flight on the day of our return was early morning when we requested to take breakfast on the arrival day, they were kind enough to agree with it. The buffet has limited option but they were plentiful. I really liked the fact that they pay special attention to their customers. one day the buffet had pasta with ham carbonera, as we are Muslims we do not take ham but just as soon the waitress understood this she asked the kitchen to make special white sauce without any ham for us. the egg station made omelettes to perfection and i still miss them. We took one dinner and we ordered chicken breast with vegetables and fries and it was scrumptious. The pool area: the infinity pool faces the gulf of Thailand. The pool is clean. As we mentioned we are honeymooning couple they made special floral arrangements and complimentary honeymoon cake (which was yummy) and we we even got to fly lanterns :D .
Small resort, quietly tugged away from the town.”
this is our first trip to koh samui with no itinerary planned, so our goal was to stay in a quiet resort away from tourist spots. we were surprised when the hotel staff showed us to our villa. the villa looks exactly the pictures we saw on the site and it was a relieved. the entire resort is quiet, a good place to getaway, located north of the island...away from the crowded chaweng town. however, getting to chaweng is not that difficult as shuttles are provided as well. we would recommend that you try out their spa as well. you have to try it to know why we are recommending it ;) overall our stay was a very pleasant one. ps. they even got me a birthday cake. that's how thoughtful they are.
A big thank you to everyone who works in the Mimosa Resort and Spa! We had our wedding here first of June. Everything was beautiful and the staff is very helpful and nice. It was like a dream! It rained but everyone was resourceful in this situation. We would like to thanks everything Mimosa Resort and Spa! I hope we will spend here our first anniversary! Kitty and Richard
Great Resort, Incredible Value”
My wife and I loved our stay at Mimosa! We spent two weeks in Thailand and, if we had it to do over again, would have stayed at Samui much longer than we did. Mimosa resort was a big reason why. The rooms were great, the ocean view from the pool and beach was spectacular, and the staff could not have been any nicer. For the money, I can't imagine a better experience. Highly recommend!
Love the place”
The stay was great and we really enjoy it there. Will definitely go back in the future. We was a bit shocked when we're on the way to the resort, feels like we are gonna stay in some kind of run down place in some village because the resort was located on the beach which need to go though the village. But when we arrived there we was quite surprised, the resort look very clean and nice (the room too), staffs are all very friendly. Free rental of bike from the resort is very thoughtful but the bikes need maintenance like brakes and chain oil. So the next day I rather rent a motorcycle for 250 baht. Food at Mama Moon (restaurant nearby resort) is alright but wasn't that great like all other review say (price is very decent). There's another restaurant along the road but I don't have chance to try it. 7-11 is just right at the main road which you won't miss it. Massage & Spa in the resort is great but very expensive, although there's "two for one price" promotion but I think it is still overpriced. There's a few massage shops along the way to the main road, I've tried one with sun burnt treatment and it was fantastic, really help with my toasted back after snorkeling. Price is good, 400 baht for an hour.
AMAZING Stay and EXCELLENT Service”
Our Stay at Mimosa Resort was perfect. The staff was so friendly and helpful. All of them spoke very well English - really appreciated. As we were on honeymoon we got a wonderful decorated room and a really warm welcome. In the morning at the breakfast buffet the staff surprised us with a honeymoon cake - it was so lovely. The resort is also very clean and beautiful. And the private beach is really nice and relaxing. The Beach Boys are quite attentive. Resort for an amazing stay on our honeymoon and a BIG thank you to both wonderful Ladies from reception Ms. Minoru and Ms. Khin who organized everything we needed and were so kind. We will come back!
Quiet, clean, comfortable with a great beach”
Mimosa has it all... great beach, decent restaurants nearby... good rooms and facilities... after exploring Koh Samui we conclude that Maenam beach is ideal for those looking for peace n quiet and Mimosa really caters to that.
Mimosa is a great spot to enjoy a relaxing, quiet, retreat but with sufficient services to truly enjoy a great stay. If it is your first time to Samui you may prefer the crowds and traffic of larger centres like Chaweng. Mimosa enjoys a location on a clean beach, a distance from the touristy areas that in my opinion deserve a few short visits. There are lots of nice areas to visit on Samui and Mimosa makes a wonderful base from which to do just that. Staff are great. facilities are more than adequate and the restaurant is better than average. My "go to" spot in Samui when wanting to get away from it all.
Peaceful hotel in a secluded location”
we thoroughly enjoyed our time at mimosa-we stayed there for the first week of our honeymoon and were treated really well by all members of staff. the hotel is away from the main attractions on the island but they do compensate for this by offering a free one-way shuttle bus to the main areas of interest. we ate quite a few times at the hotel and the food was amazing-the mimosa starter is a must! the jacuzzi bath on the balcony is a really nice touch and the spa products they offer were lovely too.
Perfect secluded spot”
Mimosa Resort & Spa is perfect if you need a break from people and just wanna relax. The Room I got was minimalistic, raw and very clean and I loved the Jacuzzi on the balcony, you could relax in after sunbathing. There was free wi-fi, kayaks, bicycles and a library where you could rent DVDs or books to read. The Hotels is far away from everything, so if you need nightlife and shopping, you'll need to transport yourself somehow with car or motorbikes
Lovely hotel and the service was fantastic.”
my husband and i had a lovely stay at the mimosa. it was perfect for our honeymoon as the location of the hotel was quite secluded, so perfect for relaxation and spa visits. i would probably suggest that it wouldn't be suited for couples with young children as there isn't a lot to do and for people who like nightlife and shopping as the main shopping location is about a 30min drive. the staff were wonderful and very accommodating. we found our room spacious and kept very clean by the staff. all in all a very pleasant stay and recommended.
Lovely. Lovely. ”
This charming hotel was just what the doctor ordered after 10 days of island hoping. Samui is truly lovely. Mimosa sits on a stretch of private beach. There are two restaurants walking distance and a coconut and beer stand right close by. The rooms are super clean and comfy. The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful. The staff by the pool not so much.
Relaxing resort in a nicer area of koh samui”
located in a quiter area of koh samui. this makes the stay better as you mix with the locals and feel more connected to having a true thai experience. the hotel is very nice, we stayed in a room with the jacquisi and it was really nice. the room is very clean and modern and very relaxing, tv also good. the food is lovely but would recommend you try the local seafood restaurant down the road one night, which was really nice. try the spa as they do good massage and also down the road if you don't want to pay as much. good stay, lovely staff who were very hospitable and friendly.
Take a look at these facilities:
