Good location and feels like home
No Locker in room!!!! They have a boxes without Keys. Not so idéal when travelling with expensive luggage. Location is not very great. It's quiet but 30 minutes by walking far from the old Town. No breakfast included....Would be good to consider this option. VEry clean though. Mattress too hard!!!! pillons too high.
Room was nice, staff a bit pushy with selling extras”
The room itself was really nice. We had the double with a balcony and it was a great size, with a good size bathroom and all the facilities you'd need. However, one of our towels was a bit tatty and had a big hole in it. Also, the shower was either cold or too hot to use. There were also a fair few ants in the room but that's tough to avoid in Hoi An! For £9 a night, it was pretty reasonable. However, everything else cost more on top of that. You don't even get bottles of water included with the room (as was the case with every other hostel / homestay we stayed at in our 5 week trip) - it was an added cost. The same is true of breakfast. On Agoda, they advertise a breakfast for 40,000 dong. When we tried to order we were told they don't do that and we have to order off their main food menu. This menu is incredibly overpriced compared to other local offerings - a portion of spring rolls being $6.30! You can get them for less than a dollar at other places in town. Scrambled eggs on toast is $4 - which is over double what I paid for eggs benedict at a western style bakery in town. Finally, the staff are very, very eager to sell you their extra tours and services. I read a lot of reviews saying the staff were friendly but that wasn't really our experience. Sure, they would ask how our day was every time we saw them... But only as a lead in to selling a tour / mini van / activity etc. It gets a bit tiring saying no for the 5th time... We did book a couple of tours through them which again seemed a bit disorganised. We did the 'Grandma's cooking class' which was advertised at 600,000 dong in the leaflet they gave us. However when they rang to book, the price had gone up by 70,000 dong as it was 'last year's leaflet' so we had to pay more. However, at the end of the course we were given more leaflets which advertised the original price so I'm not sure how true that is. We also booked the 'sunrise' trip to my son for what they said would be $14. However this doesn't in
Simply the best! A+”
If you are looking for somewhere clean and comfortable then this is the place! Warm and hospitable hosts and the location is great - short walk from Hoi An's busy Ancient Town but far enough for peace and quite. Rooms are well equipped with everything you might need. If you are working while you travel like me then Wi-Fi here is super fast. They have motorbikes and cycles to rent so it's super easy to get around town. They also serve great food if you are not in the mood to go out and eat, there is also a communal area for guests to chill and get to know each other. They can also arrange tours whilst you're in Hoi An. I strongly recommend Mina Le Villa as your hub while you're in Hoi An - for the price you will not find anywhere better and you will not regret it!
Lovely helpful staff, close to the old town of Hoian, basic but has everything you need!
Room was dirty”
Room was dirty. And they charged 3% total when I paid with my credit card
Although it has the looks of a bungalow but floors were dirty and dusty, as if it haven't been maintained for a while. there is a back kitchen where seemingly employees were processing birdsnest on the kitchen floor. Front counter staff, whom I think is the female owner or wife of owner started hard selling me on bus tickets for when I'm leaving and trying to get me to upgrade to a private room. there wasn't even a smile when I reached. Seemed to discriminate against Chinese (I'm Asian) but the moment I showed my country passport upon request, attitude slightly changed better. Asked if there was any keys for rooms or main gate, which I believe most travellers would ask, in case we reach back late or doors get accidentally locked. Was told there isn't, which is perfectly fine. but said that will have to reach back to the house by 11pm cos they need to sleep. I wasn't angry about this, cos I understand some home stays have such regulations. if you're not particular about this. then it should be fine. Ended up booking another hostel at a similar price with much more friendly staffs and folks around. And leaving this place 30mins after I checked in. Just my opinion that it didn't give me any good vibes.
We had a lovely stay. Beautiful clean room and the staff were so friendly! No free breakfast which would have been a nice add! But would definitely come back!
There was no space even with booking done”
They tried to be friendly but disorganised a bit as we booked but there was no space at all and same was for three more girls, obviously would not recommend it.
Nuisance to stay here”
We read that the owners were so nice and wanted to help but in reality, they just want to use you to make more $$. They will harass you every time you enter/leave the property to find out where you are going and how they can facilitate your travels in order for them to make more money. It became incredibly annoying. The shower is either scalding hot or ice cold. Not enjoyable. The room is nice and the beds are comfy. The bike rentals and laundry services are overpriced. Even the airport shuttle they tried to charge 10.000 vnd more than travel agencies. I wouldn’t stay here again
The receptionist was lovely and very helpful, the dorm I stayed in was good and clean off the street so it was quiet and had a fan so it was nice and cool. The property is a little way out of town but I enjoyed the walk as it showed the more hectic side of hoi an, overall a great stay
Great and friendly staff!”
We loved our stay at this hotel. My personal favorite was the bathtub. Tasa was so kind as to pack us Banh Mi for our bus trip AND when I stupidly forgot my phone on the charger at the hotel, she came all the way to the bus stop to drop it off. Thanks for a great stay and I would recommend to anyone!
We really enjoyed our stay”
The hotel is a bit hard to find in first place as it is located at the end of a small and sandy street. Nevertheless it is located in a quite neighborhood. The hotel is really clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. You can rent bikes for 40.000 dong, it is possible to book sleeping buses there and the hotel also offers some local dishes for reasonable prices. Our 3 bed room was quite big and the three single beds were big and comfortable. Luckily the fan and aircon were working really good. As in most Asien Hotels there was no room services and the water pressure was a bit low and the water temperature a bit unstable. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would book the room again if we ever come back to Hoi An
Disappointed and Short changed”
This is a homestay! I was given a brand new room on second floor which was at the back of the original block, it looked totally different from my Booking, it was not fully furnished other than two beds and a dining table and three chairs. I have to ask for clothes hangers and hung them on the chairs. When I needed to make a cup of coffee I had to go down to the kitchen to get water and found that there was no cups and spoons! The next day We booked and paid for a transport to Danang, waited in the reception area for an hour, no one was available to attend to us. I later found the manager sleeping in her room and the excuse she gave was she overslept!
stayed here a couple nights, super friendly staff and helpful, you can ask them anything and they'll be willing to help, overall place was beautiful and really clean! the location is a bit hard to find, ad you have to cross a bridge to get there but if definitely stay again
Big room with all the facility you need. Lovely staff and near the ancient town.Just 10 minutes walking to ancient town.
Great staff, good location”
The owner Jessica and her assistent Tiffany are great people . I had a very warm wellcome and had nice conversations with them. The rooms were big and clean. The guesthouse is located just outside the busy center and I enjoyed the walk back late evenings. The breackfast was a bit of a let you downer as it was just a baguette with a fried egg and cup of tea. But you can always eat somewhere else. Yes, I would stay here again.
Nice, clean and friendly ”
I planed just to stay one night in this lovely hostel but in the end I stayed a week there. Jessica is amazing and give you a lot of good advices what you can do in hoi an. I would definitely stay there again.
It was my second stay in the hotel and I would and will definetely come back! Fantastic staff, great location and very clean! 10/10
nice room, nice staff, nothing to complain, just perfect
