Good hotspring in the lost town!”
Fuji Onsen (Lushan Hotspring) is one of the top 3 hotspring in Central Taiwan since Japanese era. Though the whole place was largely destroyed by the 2008 typhoon, some hotels and restaurants are still operating. Hardware might be old, at least you could enjoy the very quality of onsen at good price. Good window mountain view, parking and breakfast as well.

Thanks to Agoda’s help”
The great building, nice lobby, neat corridors, tidy room fitted with unlimited supply of hot spring, filled into a malfunction Jacuzzi tub, with all metals unpolished inside the toilet, with obvious views of molded silicon glued and flooring tiles. The dining hall has ceiling paint falling apart like getting ready for food compliment.

Acceptable”
Dirty! Dust, cobwebs, and smell everywhere. Kettle was moldy and couldn't use. Towels were very very old. Bed was noisy. Breakfast was the worst I've had in Tawian. Spa water was nice, but other than that, nothing good to say. If you want to be disappointed, stay here!

Disappointing Experience”
Ming Lu Holiday Hotel seems to be one of the biggest hotel in the area and is quite near the famous Lu Shan bridge (around 2 minutes walk). However, it's sad that the place is not well maintained and a bit run down. The sofa in the hotel lobby was torn and one can see the stuffing inside! The room I got was very dusty and I can even see the dust on the white colour bedsheets and blanket covers etc. BTW, I got a family room with 2 double beds. I have mixed feelings regarding the hotspring pools. There are 2 floors with hotspring pools. The first floor is just 3 regular pools with hotspring water. 1 of the pool with warm hotspring water and 1 of it with cold hotspring water. The third pool was empty but from the sign above, it was supposed to be hot hotspring water. On the second floor, there's a big pool with warm hotspring water and there are different massage features at different corners of the pool. I find the opening hours of the hotspring pools too short. It was supposed to be opened until 10pm but the staff came to chase guests away at 9.45pm! We could have soak in the hotspring water in our own hotel room but the feeling is different. All in all, I wouldn't choose to go back to the hotel again. The experience is totally not worth the amount of money paid.

Hot Spring Hotel - family room with big hot spring”
Nice hotel, outlook is nice. Near to shops, walking distance to the old street. A place for relaxation, nothing much to do, just to relax & enjoy the weather. Hot spring pool in room, water filled up fast. Nice spacious room with a japanese style table. Beds are comfortable

Clean but aged hotel”
the hotel looks great from the outside. But it's aged at the lobby and room. Some facilities are not in operation or well maintained. This place, Lu shan, is extremely quiet and slow pace. Not much amenities around. The breakfast is very local and basic. The only plus point is the onsen facility in the room.

old hotel”
The hotel is old but believe it is the biggest in Lu Shan. THe spa is outside the hotel and need 5 mins walk from the hotel lobby, it will not be convenient during winter as the weather is cold. The breakfast is reallhy basic and tasteless. The only advantage is walking distance to some restaurants.

It was a great stay!”
We enjoyed our stay very much. The food wasn't too great, but that's mainly because they served Asian style cuisine and we are westerners. The spa area was relaxing and nice to end a long day of walking in the mountains.

Peaceful, serene surroundings.”
Fortunate to chance upon English speaking Aidie (not sure but that's how it sounded) who patiently helped us with directions, transport, banking needs (everything).
