Cockroach crawling on bed”
Clean room, comfortable bed, washroom was okay, friendly staff, near to tram station, train station and just a few minutes walk to A11(to airport) bus station. But on our 3rd day, woke up and saw a cockroach crawling on bed. I can't even.
excellent location, walking distance to most area

no lift. you need to carry all your things tru the stair. and no staff to help. Uncaring staff. they dont care. if ur going to this hotel you need to carry alone all your luggage without any help from them. Room is okay for short stay. But mind you, if u check in with a luggage you will regret . Mingle at the park doesnt have a lift.
I forgot to book it in the app so I was charged more than the price seen in the website when I paid in the hotel. The hotel room is quite smaller than it is in the picture with no windows in it but it is clean. The elevator cannot pass through our 4th floor room but it is okay since we don't have any luggage.
Pretty old building”
my room is next to the main hotel building, had to climb many flights of stairs to reach the room. room was small, facilities were old, and the balcony was facing the main road which makes it very noisy. blinds were spoilt as well.
the room was so tiny as if a dog was to live in there ......hardly you can breathe inside.............the whole place is messed up ...... you need to go through several routes to bring in and out of your luggage .......staff was so unfriendly and does require at least some customer service training class
If you are on a budget and don't mind a tiny room, it can be a good option. In the heart of wanchai and more comfortable than other similar hotels. But there is no elevator to go up, it was hard to bring up my suitcase. I wish they could improve the hair drier, it was very old, and the toiletries could have a bit better quality to them.
Too small, no space for suitcases ”
Same price can grab better one. No lift must beware for elderly
Unable to use the sink”
The sink was set in a 300mm space between a column and a wall, such that there was not enough space to lean over the sink to wash your face or hands.
Good value for money (for HK)”
The room are small but bright and compared to other hotels with similar prices, the Mingle is definitely much nicer.
Pro: Walking distance to the exhibition hall. Con: Flees in the bed (after 5 of them I requested another room, which was bigger and had a small balcony) Con: Poor service, personnel uncaring. Con: Deposit.... Con: Not really a bedroom but a broom closet Con: Not even free water @€175 per night Con: No elevator Con: No baggage service Con: Stairs to the street without supervision All in all a terribly disappointing experience.
No elevator to access 1F to 5F”
No elevator to access 1F to 5F, so you have to hand carry your luggage to your room
I could feel the owner of the hotel build the hotel with heart..it was a Chinese design to provide a chinese staying culture....but service was extremely bad in the hotel...if you want to feel the worst reception service...just go to this hotel! the reception team couldn't be worse....it was the most awful receptionist i met when i checked out...i still remembered...it was a typhoon signal No. 10…heavy rain and big wind on the street...the hotel was not full .and i couldn't go anywhere due to the highest typhoon signal warning system in hk...the receptionist called my room number and spoke to us rudely, and knocked our door to ask us to check out at 1245....i left the hotel immediately at 1300...but the receptionist was very angry to look at my face at the reception desk and charged me hkd 100 dollar for late check out but she didn't even give me a receipt....no a sense of empathy...it was under a signal of typhoon no. 10!! And the hotel was not full...
Overall it would be a very compact room, however I am pleased with the cleaniness level; tip top. The downside of it that there's no lifts and the room's soundproofing is rather average with constant traffic noises from the streets below. Staff were rather not so friendly. A 5 minutes walk from the MRT which is superb and convenient. Great stay I would say :)
Needed a reasonable cost overnight in Hong Kong”
Below expectation. No elevator 68 narrow steps to my room, no main door nor security or reception on the way in, i.e. open for anyone to access. Bed limited in length, if one is taller than 180 he or she will touch the wall either end. Bed linen quite short too, cover the top the feet are uncovered v.v., albeit the bed itself was actually quite comfortable. No hand soap in the toilet, other than body lotion and shampoo. Small shower but worked well. The room was window less, light comes in through a wall glass window that uses light from the small toilet window; which is good day time but a ongoing light source night time that, can't be turned off. Wi Fi worked, a bit slow but ok for my needs. Overall ok, but not comparable to the Mingle with the Star next door (which also acts as reception for this Hotel (or guesthouse rather).
Affordable budget accomodation”
Good location. need to take stairs to room, no elevator. Reception was tricky to find. rooms very very small. otherwise friendly helpful staff. if looking not fussy about room size and dont plan on spending much time in the room, then this would suit you. also, my room faced wan chai road, so was noisy in morning, plus thin walls o can hear neighbours.
rooms with character”
My stay was for 6 days at the mingle. I stayed in the single room. As expected space was tiny but as a single traveler it was fine (i've stayed in smaller rooms in hk). The best thing about the hotel was the cleanliness, the room's and toilets were clean and well designed. Only problem was the noise from the busy road, which will do well with better sound insulation. Also, if you've got heavy luggage, take note that there's no lift. When you want a respite from the busy streets, head up to the 6th floor rooftop for a drink under the moonlight (surrounded by other tall buildings of course)
Tiny rooms but efficient ”
The room is very small but everything you need is in here for someone solo travelling. It is a hard place to find I walked passed it twice looking for it, and the cab driver had no idea where it was either he just dropped me off at some random hotel, that was fortunately within walking distance of Mingle at the Park. The room was very clean and cool from the AC; small but efficient for solo traveler with not a lot of things. There were only two things I did not like, other than the place being hard to spot, the bed was small by like a foot and I'm 6 feet tall, and I had two kill a couple mosquitoes. Other than that the place was great and definitely worth the stay. The staff was great and very helpful and spoke English very well also. The towels and sheets were clean and smelt fresh. I would book here again.
Poor quality, narrow room, no elevator”
I would not recommend this guest house because of the above. The reception on ground floor of other building, we can only to up to 7F of that building to access to Mingle and from there we have to go with stairs to go down to the floor. The room is too small, I cannot open my luggage but the price is not cheap. The room is not clean and water fall out from air-condition. I pay US$75/night and feel it’s totally wasted. I would rather pay more to be in better hotel.
No lift, room is smaller than expected, DVD player available but not functioning which was a disappointment. TV remote control not working properly.
