Everything was perfect until a Japanese front desk staff destroyed it”
We booked 2 night stay tryingsttrying for the 1st time at Mutsui hotel chain. We were very impressed with the spacious room for Tokyo standard, nice reception, right above JR station Shin-Nihonbashi and also the subway station Mitsukoshi Mae. We stayed at Daiwa Roynet before and few other Japanese chains and the rooms were smaller as expected for Tokyo standard. The great experience was destroyed by Ms Yamagechi, the front desk staff when we approached her to notify her that we're very closed to check out time and we would go up to collect our luggage and check out. We expected her to be appreciative of our proactiveness. However, instead, she gave the unhappy look that we passed the regular check out time which we told her the hotel has agreed to extend 1 hour for us. Not only that, not looking interested to continue the conversation, she's like 'Hurry up!" We're totally appalled with her attitude. She's in hospitality industry but yet she's so hostile. We expected more friendliness from Japan and she just took us by surprise. To the Management of Mitsui Garden Nihonbashi, please ensure you send Ms Yamageshi for customer service and hospitality training. Despite the unpleasant experience by the staff, the hotel is a really nice one, spacious to stay and I'll highly recommend it. Nihonbashi is a business district, much quieter as compared to Ginza or Shinjuku and if you prefer less touristy nice quiet neighbourhood, this is perfect. There're nice restaurants around the hotel too.
New hotel in a great location”
Greatly enjoyed our stay at the Mitsui Garden Premier at Nihonbashi. The location of the hotel was really good - direct access to two Tokyo subway lines and one JR line. Rooms were newly furnished and well maintained with generous amenity kits. While there are no “facilities” such as a gym or a pool, the Japanese bath is a great bonus to this remarkable place. We enjoyed our three night stay greatly.
Hotel with a public bath place in the middle of city center”
Super-convenient location! Ginza and Tokyo Stantion is within walking distance. Close to three Denshya stations: 1. New Nihonbashi Station: connected to the building. You can travel from/ to the Nariti Airport without connection (but it takes longer than the rapid service). 2. Mitsukoshi-Mae Station: at the back of the hotel. You can take Ginza line and Hanzomon line to the major tourist spots and business areas. 3. Kanda Station: five minutes walk away. Chuo line and Yamanoto line both stop by. And there are some other lines pass by Kanda and then stop at the Tokyo Station. The staff are friendly. The design is chic. And most importantly, there is a public bath place in the hotel, which makes it an extremely value for money hotel! No complaint at all!
Exceptional”
Whenever I visit Japan I am surprised anew by the remarkably high level of service one can encounter. MGH Nihonbashi fits squarely in that category. As a new hotel it will come as no surprise that everything is in perfect condition. The design of the bathroom was particularly efficient. The breakfast buffet deserves special mention, not so much for the Western selections (though a fresh roll with Hokkaido butter was perfect in its own way) as for the perfectly executed Japanese dishes. It is directly above the Shin Nihonbashi station which Gives direct access from Tokyo Station on a JR line.

Convenient location”
New hotel, exceptionally spotless, surrounded by commerce and high-end department stores. Corner twin was really good, larger than other Tokyo rooms I've experienced and full of technology. Nice to have a reasonable-sized sitting area in the room for our three night stay. Staff always ready to assist in any way they could. Ideal for JR pass holders with Tokyo Station nearby, Shin-Nihonbashi below and JR Kanda a short walk away. Japanese bath was a bit busy at times and with it's modern styling lacked a certain charm but still excellent.
No Frills or Thrills but chic and stylish”
Look...when you travel you hardly have the time to only enjoy all the facilities that five stars hotel have to offer. My kind of travel is to enjoy the city and a place to come back to and stay comfortably...this is the place. MGHNP is perfect for me, you can just stroll to Tokyo Station or just go down to Shin Nihonbashi Station which is a brief one stop from Tokyo Station. The staffs are very helpful and courteous...

Excellent location, right above ShinNihonbashi station, easy access from Narita Airport ”
It took me approximately 90 mins from Narita Airport to the hotel without the need to change other subway lines. You can get to the hotel directly from the Shin Nihonbashi Station. Excellent location with a free city shuttle bus to Tokyo station outside the hotel. Hotel staffs are nice and sincere. But if you don’t speak either Japanese or English, then you may encounter difficulties in communicating with hotel staffs. Not too many choices for breakfast if you are looking for western style buffet. To conclude, good hotel and definitely will stay again for next visit.

Great hotel in a Great Location”
The hotel is near the Nihonbashi area that is a wonderful and classy neighbourhood with upmarket shopping malls. Its connectivity to Tokyo Station and Ginza line made the location convenient to get to anywhere in and out of Tokyo. The hotel is new and the amenities are good.
Exceptional”
Staffs are polite and willing to help. Clean and new rooms with good size (26 sq ft twin room), the indoor spa is clean and tidy. The bar on reception floor is good and silent, a good place to have a drinks and chat with friends. From Tokyo Station to the hotel by taxi is only ¥en 810 which is much better by foot under hot weather. Hotel also close to luminous bus stop to airports. We take taxi from the hotel to Tokyo Station by paying only ¥810 and connect Airport Express to Narita. Hotel calls taxi and take care of my three big luggages with polite. Surely will stay in this hotel again and highly recommend to others.
Great little gem in the heart of Tokyo”
The hotel is very conveniently located, with a couple of different subway lines all within walking distance. Tokyo Station is only 10 minutes away by car. The rooms are not big but are spacious by Tokyo standards, they are also well designed and contain everything you may need during your stay. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. The public bath (onsen) is a great feature, although not big, it is a nice way to relax after a day of walking around and sightseeing. We had a soak every evening before heading out to dinner and it was a great way to recharge the batteries. There are a few large department stores nearby but the streets are never crowded or noisy. There are many restaurants and eateries close by. We would definitely come back again!
Modern and Peaceful”
If you want to stay just outside central Tokyo then this is the perfect option. You are a 4 minute train ride away from Tokyo central station and you have direct access from your hotel to the underground transport system. It was also easy to take the Narita Express Airport Train back on departure day. The breakfasts are unique and traditional and we really enjoyed the change from other hotels who serve big buffets with a lot of western food. The foyer is tastefully decorated and the staff are really friendly. The rooms are well equipped and beds are very comfortable. We would stay here again as it was quieter than central Tokyo but was so close to all of the train lines for access everywhere using the JR Rail Pass.
Very convenient hotel”
This Mitsui hotel was very well located, with direct underground access to two metro lines and a JR line. The rooms offerings were slightly larger than average for Tokyo and the place was new and well-maintained. Only thing is housekeeping has very limited hours and we missed them one day.
Fantastic hotel ”
Arguably one of the best, if not the best, hotels I have ever stayed at. Finding it was extremely easy, with JR station Shin Nihombashi (one stop from Tokyo station) just around the corner. There are two other Subway stations in walking distance. Rooms are big with modern decor, with WC and a huge shower in separate compartments, and sink outside. Cleanliness is excellent, and staff are polite and able to speak English. There are convenience stores and small eateries peppered all around the hotel. Overall a fantastic stay, would definitely stay here again.

New, Beauty, and Cozy to stay”
The hotel is just one next stop from Tokyo Station, however, Tokyo Station is pretty large to walk to sub-line train. Other things the hotel is absolutely great, new and beauty. The public onsen is good enough although it has only in-door bath. Room is cozy but enough with nice design.

Great Hotel”
Nihombashi is a comparatively quiet district and the Mitsui Garden hotel was splendid! Great amenities. The bar is targetted at the luxury business demographic, however, and is priced as such.
Thank you very much for your staying at Mitsui Garden Hotel Nihonbashi Premier. Please excuse us for this late reply and we appreciate your feedback you gave us. We are pleased to know you had a splendid stay with us and liked the amenities. We hope we could offer a memorable stay for you. Our hotel is located in central Tokyo, but Nihonbashi is known as calm area, away from hussle and bussle. Beautiful hotel in a great location”
My first trip to Japan and this was our first hotel, what a pleasure to stay here for 5 days. The hotel, lobby and reception is beautiful and you are greeted with smiles all the way up to from the lobby to reception where the staff are attentive and helpful. The room was a great size, I had heard rooms were small in Japan but this was great, I could even lay on the floor and stretch, the shower was great, bathroom felt like a cubicle but was fine. The bed was great, I slept very well here at the hotel. I got sick while in Japan and the hotel staff came up to check on me and see if I was felling better, even checking on me the next day. Only thing missing was a gym facility in the hotel but Exceptional service and hotel. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo and I hope it will be for longer this time.
Excellent”
Everything was perfect, front desk was very helpful and did their best to accommodate our request. Breakfast variety was good enough. Rooms are spacious, well-cleaned and managed properly. The only setback I could think of, is the onsen not allowing my husband to enter due to his tattoo. Will always keep Mitsui Gardens in mind for our future trips.
Elegant ”
Chose this hotel because it had an onsen and was connected to a railwsy line. On these two points it delivered well. Beautiful onsen. It took us three days to work out the short cut to the railway station though. The staff in the foyer were all exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The staff at the hotel desk were more regimented. We were advised at 2.15pm that we couldn't check-in until 3.00pm...not sure what the four staff at the desk had planned for 45mins. Check-out at 12.00pm helped make up for this. The room was a good size, clean and modern. Lovely retreat after busy days in Tokyo.
Business district, nice area with many shops and less tourists”
One station away from Tokyo station, located in a business area close to nice coffee shops and restaurants. Underground passageway to JR directly from hotel. Service from staff was the best out of all hotels stayed during my trip. Onsen was just so-so. Might stay here again.
