The worst experience”
Equipe inexistante... La pire expérience que l'on ai vécu !
First time to El Nido and stayed in 3 places. I will be back and stay here again, only. Love this place and their staff is great. Older building but there was very hot water and great A/C (if El Nido's power was on). Most issues are with the town and shared with most places. This place has a great Zen feel! Very clean, and no shoes aloud inside :) feels like a Japanese house :) Beds are like futons which works for me. Book your tours with them and save some money and hassle. Great to walk to everything or park your motorbike out front and ride just because its fun to ride around. Internet is a little slow and works best upstairs in the up stairs sitting area. Walls are a little thin (for a western standards) and traffic can be heard, but like most places, stay out of town if you want to sleep in. But then why are you there? Hotel is for sleeping, showering and changing. Place to hang clothes and relax having coffee in the mornings or beer at night getting ready for the next adventure.
Not quite sure ”
Only available place to stay really we booked a little too late. It's a cute room super small but good for two friends. Fan only which would be ok if the fan was on the ceiling. Shower and toilet is the smallest in the world so it's quite funny to take a shower but I managed. There's a small balcony which we didn't use. Internet In el nido is terrible in general but at this place you actually can get good wifi from across the road. Super noisy tho from early in the morning. All the tiny taxis start working and they are literally the loudest in the whole of Philippines. Can't sleep past 7 without earplugs
Upon arrival at el nido bus station none of the drivers knew the hostel, we gave him the street name. We drove up and down the streets asking around and nobody knew the 'guesthouse'. Eventually we started walking and found a place that kind off resembled the picture on agoda. We were told that mj88 was actually the dodgy looking place opposite the street. It had no name or sign. When they tracked the owner down we were told that the room was already occupied. Apparently they had "phoned" agoda on the day and were told they had no bookings so they gave the room away. (We had booked and paid fully a few days ago). We negotiated and got our money back minus 15% of agoda's comm. It was getting late, we had very limited internet and there was not much we could do but go by foot with our bags and find new accomm for the night. We found a place in a better location but had to pay more than what our budget allowed us because most places were fully booked. It was a bad experience all in all.
Unbearably hot and a cockroach.”
Titel sums it up. Unbearably hot, a celing fan split on two singel beds were not enough. Also a cockroach.
