Grand and Easy Access to Taipei”
Take bus 9023 (to/from Taipei) and it drops you right along the street where this hotel is. It’s far from the Taoyuan main station, recommended to call for Uber if you are coming from the train station. The hotel has a convenience store and a very nice breakfast place called 活力早餐 in the vicinity. Lobby is dated but grand nonetheless. Quiet rooms with a nice view of the city, bathtub a little small. Had a very comfortable sleep. Will stay again.

Hotel could be better”
Stayed here several times and the standard rooms usually have leaking bathtubs which creates a very wet situation in the bathroom floor. But that usually dries out overnight. Toiletries are provided but I wished they had permanent body wash and hair wash installed in the bathrooms, rather than being given small bottles each time they service the room. Pool is available but not open even after so many months for unknown reasons. But this hotel has good location with public transport and convenience stores nearby. Carrefour is less than 5 minutes away by Uber. Overall, rooms are clean and quiet. Enjoyed my stay here.

Staycation ”
My friend and I booked this hotel for a staycation on Christmas Eve and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately, the pool was closed which we didn't find out until after we had booked which was a bit of a disappointment and the gym was not up to par for a 5-star hotel. Other than that, the facilities were clean, the beds very comfortable, and the staff were all lovely.

There is only one restaurant open in the hotel. It is a Hong Kong restaurant. During winter the pool is not open so if you want to get the best value of your money, come during summer.

Dated hotel with uncleaned hot water boiler ”
Hotel is very dated. Furniture and TV are very old. The worst was the hot water boiler to my surprises is filled with left over vegetables, noodles and some pieces of old meat.

Good quality 4.5 star hotel in Taoyuan City”
As a business traveller visiting a customer in the Taoyuan industrial area this was an excellent base. Just 20 minutes from Taoyuan airport it is a very pleasant 4.5 star hotel. Rooms are spacious. Free Wifi internet throughout the hotel. Above all the customer service throughout the hotel was excellent.

it was nice and great. it is much better than other hotel. and breakfast was really nice in hotel lobby. i will use this hotel if i would have a chance to visit taoyuan. everything was wonderful. fulong hotel isn't best. it is real best.

The hotel is a bit old no doubt but quite functional. Service is very good and courteous. They would book taxis for us at the exact time we asked for. The sauna and swimmingpool although a bit old are great. Big pool, hot bath and cold pool. Pure gem on these matters One negative: they really need to improve breakfast. Atrocious. Location is good for taoyuan. Far from Taipei though.

near airport”
this may be an old hotel and needs an upgrade, but at least it is near taoyuan airport. we arrive past midnight and was given a room soon. we had breakfast at the hotel. food was the usual but at least my youngest who was 6 y/o, and 130cm tall ate free. i soon found out that other hotels charge half the price for kids 6 and above. the health pool in the hotel was a lot of fun. the next morning the manager got us a taxi and advised the driver of our next destination. that's great service.

Very nice hotel”
The Monarch Plaza is a very nice hotel. The location is excellent with plenty of nearby restaurants and a lovely park. The room and the breakfast were very nice also. We initially were assigned a room in which someone had smoked. The staff were very accommodating and put us in another room with no smoke issues whatsoever.

Clean Hotel”
rooms are clean and cable internet is provided. there is a convenience store located downstairs. this hotel would be recommended if you are travelling for business in taoyuan area. otherwise, it is a 45mins, nt50 bus ride to jiantan station in taipei, where shihlin night market is. bus stop is just 50metres away from the hotel and it takes around 15mins interval waiting time. not much variety of food around the hotel. it cost around nt120 via taxi to the nearest night market at zhong zheng road(nothing much to see anyway). overall, good hotel in taoyuan if you're travelling for business.

Big Hotel but old”
Have to stay in Taoyuan to wait for my flights which is early in the morning. The hotel is big but you can feel that it is a bit old. It have a 24 hour convenience store located just outside of the hotel so getting any food, drinks is easy. The area also have shops selling food. Breakfast is poor. Not many varieties

If you're stuck in Tao Yuan, this is a decent hote”
Normally stay at the Novotel Taoyuan but that hotel has NO outside dining options. Decided for a change and was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is very centrally located. The dining options outside of the hotel are abundant. The breakfast leave a bit to be desired.

Shangri-La Far Eastern Hotel Taipei Review ”
All of the hotel staff personnel were very courteous, helpful, and professional, making our stay was very pleasant. Moreover, when my spouse discovered some jewelry had was missing and notified the Shangri-La Far Eastern International Hotel, Taipei, they searched and found the missing jewelry on the floor in a corner at the edge of the carpet. We were very pleased and relieved about this service. The hotel is on par with other 5 star hotels like Courtyard Marriott as far as facilities and the breakfast menus, but there are still some minor areas that need to be improved as discussed above in con's. I would recommend the hotel to others and would stay there again myself.

we booked two rooms during our stay in the monarch plaza hotel. the service in the receptionist area was pretty friendly and professional. we like our room, we think it is a good size room and we also like the decoration in the room and hotel. breakfast offered was pretty basic but we had no complaint overall.

I actually like it better than the one I stayed in Taoyuan. Breakfast is better but should have pineapple which I thought it's popular in Taiwan.
