Very helpful family. Location is really good closed to everywhere. The only thing is the stray dogs. At night, you can hear the dogs barking all the time

House owners was very good they helped us we had lunch and breakfast in there house but if you want to enjoy night life you will not able to do that as gate will be closed at 10 pm

Not what we expected, but host family”
This homestay is located steeply downhill from the main road in Swayambu, next to a filthy stream. There was a sewer odor in the house. Although advertised as a room with private bathroom, my large room had only access to a rooftop shared toilet (plugged up most of the time) and cold shower. There was no access to a sink, so all toothbrushing was done over a drain in the rooftop laundry area. The room was fairly clean, but not the bathroom. The host family are very gracious and welcoming. Breakfast & dinner came with my room price, but food was excessively salty for me, so we ate out most meals. My 2 friends had a large room with kitchenette and private bathroom, but it also smelled of sewage. Beds were fairly hard. We were at Swayambu for a Himalayan bowl healing class held at Hotel Devachan. Had I known what our homestay was like, I would have booked at Hotel Devachan, which was peaceful & attractive .
