    Nice resort”
Very nice place to stay, away from the city hustle and bustle. But really located at the middle of nowhere, but local small villages. Staffs are nice and friendly. Lovely pool, nice garden. A famous cooking class (for serious learner, and can be pricey) nearby called 3 Threes. They will pick up the student from this resort.

My 9th visit to Monn Phu Phrai and definitely not the last one.......... Situated in a beautiful, lush tropical garden - and lots of great nature around it - nice (salt water) pool, friendly and competent staff, great food. As said, I’ll be back!

    Great Getaway ”
Well Maintained Gardens, Good Design Of Resort, Great Swimming Pool
We chose Monn Phu Phrai as a getaway for a few days from Chiang Mai. The grounds, rooms and common areas are immaculately maintained and we were very impressed. Although it is 3 or 4 years old now, everything still looks brand new. The swimming pool and adjoining area were amazing. The onsite food was delicious and the staff very pleasant. Recommended.

    Quiet, beautiful gardens, outstanding hosts.”
Quiet, natural environment, pool and food.
if you are looking for a quiet rural getaway in a lovely little hotel that is very good value then the monn phu phrai is great choice. the pool area, while not huge is excellent and the gardens lovely. the hosts and staff are helpful and extremely approachable which all adds to the charm of the hotel. there are bikes available (at a very cheap rate) to explore the countryside and visit the local hot springs which includes a good locally run "massage club". if you are expecting a lot to do this hotel may not be for you as, unless you have a hire car, the location is quite remote, but if you fancy a break from the faster pace of chiang mai then this could be ideal.

    Paradise”
Absolutely lovely. Free bicycle meant I could go to the hot springs for a massage, Coffee Corner roadside coffee bar and generally look around the village at the rice fields and daily life in a semi rural area. The grounds are beautiful and it is a privately owned small resort. Heavenly infinity pool. Clean and tasteful bungalows. Stayed for two nights, wish it was longer. A little piece of paradise. Nice staff and lovely owner.

Great place to stay if you want to get away from the city, but ifmu don't have your own transportation you will struggle and the resort can be hard to find without a GPS But I can easily recommend this place. I'll be back

Price, location in the mountains, quiet
We enjoyed our stay and would come back. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and the grounds manicured. Lovely, quiet place not too far from Chiang Mai. Hot springs in the area. We were there when it was cold and the hot showers were delightful. Only complaint was the beds were very hard.

Comfortable room, great food, fab swimming pool
We had a lovely relaxing weekend at this resort. It is a bit of a trek from the city (about 45 mins) but the views are worth the drive. Lovely, attentive staff and very good food. Gorgeous gardens and comfortable room. We'll definitely go back again, and happily recommend it to friends.

Lovely and peaceful with smiles all round.”
    The staff. Relaxation. Food.
I picked this place as I wanted to stay outside of Chiang Mai for a night on my way to Pai via Motorcycle. People should note that this place isnt so close to Chiang Mai, but if you have transport (30mins or less) and want to relax and be well looked after then look no further. The rooms are very clean and the owner and her staff are lovely, kind people. Most places could learn a lot from the professional attitude of the Monn Phu Phrai.

    Returned again after 1 week”
    Service and so peaceful
I returned after 1 week on my way back from Pai before heading off to Chiang Mai airport the next day. I really enjoyed my stay here with my Brother and for me I prefer it here for a night compared to Chiang Mai as you know you can just relax and enjoy the pool and food. If you want to relax and be away from the noise and pollution of the city for a while then this place ticks all the right boxes. I would say having a motorbike or car works best, but I am sure a taxi wouldnt cost very much either.

Peaceful, lovely resort to enjoy a quiet time”
Very helpful and friendly owner, modern rooms, lovely gardens, nice food
i stayed for 6 nights over the new year with my husband´s family, who travelled from uk. having spent the last 6 months living in bangkok, it was great to leave the city and spend a week in these peaceful surroundings, surrounded by greenery and flowers. khun tan, the owner, was most helpful and friendly, always making sure that we had plans for the next day, calling to fix appointments for our activities, and answering all our questions. even though the resort is 40 minutes away from chiang mai, there are many activities that can be organised nearby: ziplining, atvs, walking to view cascades or the hot springs where you can get a massage... otherwise, you can lounge by the pool and enjoy the cool weather. german speakers: you will find that khun tan speaks perfect german and he can be your tour guide

Charming boutique resort, conceived and built by its owner. Exactly the place to stay if you are looking for a place with a "soul" away from large copycat international resorts; the owners are there making sure you enjoy your stay. Rooms are simple but very comfortable. Will return.

    Setting, atmosphere, surroundings.....
a beautiful place with a totally relaxed atmosphere. individual bungalows set in a lush, gorgeous tropical garden. not a good destination if you want to use is as a basis to explore the city of chiang mai (30 km away) but hard to beat for anything else. very friendly management and staff (english and german spoken), service with a smile - excellent food and a very nice pool. take one of the hotel bikes or just walk around, e.g. to the hot springs, only 2.5 km away. high on my list of place to go back to in the near future

Beutiful location peaceful and nice to hear the sound of silence A/C good Very clean Great Staff
A little difficult to find as it is at the end of a 2km track welcomed with a smile and shown to our very comfortable bungalow. The menu was not extensive being mainly Thai with the exception of the American Breakfast but quality and service very good. The staff even suprised me with a decorated cake for my birthday and a small good luck present to take home. Alovely infinity pool was at our disposal which was immaculate. The local hot springs in the village worth a visit even if its just to boil some eggs 20Baht for 3. We will definately be staying again it might not be 5* but the service is.

    Tranquial atmosphere beautiful gardens
Greeted with drink upon arrival, oweners very friendly and approachable. villa very clean with great shower. Came in low season (July) so practically had the place to ourselfs! Tan (Thai owner) went out of his way to make us feel welcome, we asked about seeing elephants and he offered to take us there for just gasoline money. He even took us to a Thai place and bought us lunch! I asked about where to buy a camera (as mine had broken) and he offered to stop at a place where he bought his computer. bought a great camera! Tan also arranged a friend to take us to Chang mai for the day and come back late for a good price. Perfect place to come and relax and get away from the crowds. (especially after being in bangkok) Will defiently return! Really nice food ( all thai) and they made pancakes for me even though it wasn't on the menu.

    Best place for Rest”
Very good hospitality! Very nice atmosphere.
We had 3nights stay at least. First we planed stay only 2nights but it was so nice place then we decided add one more night. If you need all in one style hotel, I never suggest this hotel to stay. But if you like "slow life" style, I am strongly recommend this hotel. Clean air, nice breeze, huge plants etc etc..... it is nearly perfect for me. The restaurant is Thai style food and average taste but they can adjust for foreigner taste. Only the one thing, if "onsen" is there, it is prefect for me. But don't worry, the "onsen" is just 5min from the hotel.

    Tranquil and Idyllic setting”
in the middle of nowhere, so peaceful and quiet
our taxi driver from the airport got lost coming here and had to stop to ask for directions - it took almost an hour and cost baht! once here soak up the gardens - the photos don't do them justice; the pool area is also very beautiful and relaxing. for us it was a calm before the storm of songkran in chiang mai, so perfect - all we could do was hire a bike and take a very good massage at the local hot springs and join the locals at their pre-songkran celebrations. the hotel is a stop off for german coach tours for the evening, but we joined in with their bar-b-que and watched/listened to the entertainment! the visitors have gone before breakfast, and your food is freshly made and delivered to you in style! the owners do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable and even took 4 of us into the city at the start of songkran, a journey that normally takes 1 hour, took 2.5, and refused any money! thanks dan!
