My 9th visit to Monn Phu Phrai and definitely not the last one.......... Situated in a beautiful, lush tropical garden - and lots of great nature around it - nice (salt water) pool, friendly and competent staff, great food. As said, I’ll be back!

Paradise”
Absolutely lovely. Free bicycle meant I could go to the hot springs for a massage, Coffee Corner roadside coffee bar and generally look around the village at the rice fields and daily life in a semi rural area. The grounds are beautiful and it is a privately owned small resort. Heavenly infinity pool. Clean and tasteful bungalows. Stayed for two nights, wish it was longer. A little piece of paradise. Nice staff and lovely owner.

Incorrect map location”
On NYE 2014 I booked this resort for that day under the impression Agoda maps gave it was in the city of Chiang Mai. When checking google maps 2 hours later for directions it appeared to be far from Chaing Mai. As it was hotel policy not to offer any refunds on bookings I feel scammed and think they have a very poor customer service policy.

Awesome place away from everything”
Nice room, good food, great pool
Great place to stay if you want to get away from the city, but ifmu don't have your own transportation you will struggle and the resort can be hard to find without a GPS But I can easily recommend this place. I'll be back

Nice, quiet setting in the mountains. ”
Price, location in the mountains, quiet
We enjoyed our stay and would come back. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and the grounds manicured. Lovely, quiet place not too far from Chiang Mai. Hot springs in the area. We were there when it was cold and the hot showers were delightful. Only complaint was the beds were very hard.

Beautiful resort in lush countryside”
Comfortable room, great food, fab swimming pool
We had a lovely relaxing weekend at this resort. It is a bit of a trek from the city (about 45 mins) but the views are worth the drive. Lovely, attentive staff and very good food. Gorgeous gardens and comfortable room. We'll definitely go back again, and happily recommend it to friends.

Great Getaway ”
Well Maintained Gardens, Good Design Of Resort, Great Swimming Pool
We chose Monn Phu Phrai as a getaway for a few days from Chiang Mai. The grounds, rooms and common areas are immaculately maintained and we were very impressed. Although it is 3 or 4 years old now, everything still looks brand new. The swimming pool and adjoining area were amazing. The onsite food was delicious and the staff very pleasant. Recommended.

Hideaway resort in the woods”
Well-kept chalets with friendly staff
A different experience away from the city but too deep in the woods became an inconvenience for food and leisure. Quite scary unless you come in a big group with your own group agenda. Recommend a day's stay is sufficient but we booked 3days and finally stayed there for 2days and couldn't get any refund for the 3rd day. Food served was moderately good and the chalets were clean and well-maintained.

Lovely and peaceful with smiles all round.”
The staff. Relaxation. Food.
I picked this place as I wanted to stay outside of Chiang Mai for a night on my way to Pai via Motorcycle. People should note that this place isnt so close to Chiang Mai, but if you have transport (30mins or less) and want to relax and be well looked after then look no further. The rooms are very clean and the owner and her staff are lovely, kind people. Most places could learn a lot from the professional attitude of the Monn Phu Phrai.

Returned again after 1 week”
Service and so peaceful
I returned after 1 week on my way back from Pai before heading off to Chiang Mai airport the next day. I really enjoyed my stay here with my Brother and for me I prefer it here for a night compared to Chiang Mai as you know you can just relax and enjoy the pool and food. If you want to relax and be away from the noise and pollution of the city for a while then this place ticks all the right boxes. I would say having a motorbike or car works best, but I am sure a taxi wouldnt cost very much either.
