Classy hotel with inviting courtyard and bar”
the hotel entrance seems like youre entering a beautiful old winery. a big white wall with gold lettering opens into a great little courtyard with tables and chairs, dotted with large pot plants of lemon trees. welcoming and helpful staff at reception, in the bar and friendly cleaning staff. a nice 1k walk along river to main square and shopping. staff at hotel organized a terrific winery tour for an afternoon on the whole the 2 days we spent at the montebello were great. i would have no reservations in recommending this hotel to anyone wanting to enjoy their time in that great city of florence!

Vintage design”
Montebello could be a museum..The hotel is located almost in the city center. So, just learn the directions in the area of one-way traffic tiny streets and you will be rewarded by a fairy-tale experience! Not sure i'd be capable and willing of maintaining such a theater-like style at home, but it was absolutely corresponding to the spirit of renaissance Firenze. Except for the super-fast wi-fi :)

wonderful 5 star hotel”
Since it is located close to the train station, it is very convenient for those who travel by train. (it might be little bit difficult to find the place though.) It is not located in the center of the city so if you prefer to stay at peaceful and quiet place, this is the hotel.

A beautiful Hotel. Rooms are furnished with quality, classical furniture and fabrics. Amazing, comfortable beds (with pillow menu), and crisp, clean bed linen. Staff were extremely professional, helpful and friendly. A real pleasure to stay here, and can't recommend highly enough!

Centrally located hotel, but was expecting more”
The hotel was centrally located which is a good thing as you can walk to all mayor tourist and shopping places. The bed was comfortable and the size was adequate. However, the air-condition in the room was making lots of noise on the first night which they fixed the next day (somewhat). As the room was on top of the building, the windows were on the rooftop, so we did not have a view of anything but the sky...which was sort of nice. The ceiling was very low so it felt a bit claustrophobic.
