traditional decor professional staff buffet breakf”
We loved our fully accommodated large room with wooden traditional furniture and decor. All staff were trained and happy to work there. It was a pleasure meeting them in the morning at breakfast by the lively pool in the gardens. Massage by blind man was good and in a quiet spa setting. I highly recommend this hotel for its central location and easy access by tuk,tuk "Mr. Ral" to historic sites and shopping district.
One of the best boutique style hotels Siem Reap”
This is such a lovely wee boutique hotel, it has just the 15 rooms, and is set in very nice grounds with a great setting for the swimming pool. I have stayed here twice now and would happily return again. The staff are just fantastic, the rooms have a wonderful old antique setting to them, as does all the lovely wood and statues in and around the hotel. The restaurant has great food, both for the breakfast and also with their dinners. This is not one of the new style glitzy big hotels that have sprung up all over Siem Reap, but a place where you will be made very welcome and enjoy returning to. They will also provide you with a free tuk tuk transfer to and from the airport. Only minus is that the beds are very firm. (Didn't bother me but my partner noticed it). I can highly recommend this hotel
Great for whole family. Good pool, child friendly.”
We had a suite for 2adults and 2 small children and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Staff went out of their way to welcome us, the children loved the pool with its shallow area. We enjoyed good snacks at lunch time, a good buffet breakfast and enjoyed a lovely celebration in the restaurant one evening. The staff were always helpful and friendly.
Excellent in every way”
We had a truly magnificent time, could not have asked for more .We were made welcome, always greeted with smiles and friendship. their claim to a home rather than a hotel is true. All staff went out of their way to help and go the extra distance. We stayed longer than planned, revisited and plan to return. Could not have asked for more. Beautifully appointed room, wonderful staff, great verandah full of antiques and magnificent art works. Tuk tuk only $2 into centre of Siem Reap. Wonderful security, we felt cared for, safe and happy. Meals are well priced and delicious. Restaurant and Reception staff excellent. Wonderfully capable housekeeping and security. Swimming pool and gardens of same excellent standard. Highly recommended.
nice hotel with very helpful and friendly staff”
We would go back. We chose this hotel to be located close to our relatives staying nearby - it is at the end of the hotel stretch so you will need to get on a tuk-tuk to get into town which is not a big deal (about 1$ each way) since you would have to do that anyway from most hotels unless you stay right in the center (not appealing to us). We do not know of any other hotels in Cambodia to compare with, but coming from Thailand this is slightly on the expensive side. The pool is a little bit small - but perfect for relaxing, also there aren't always as many seats around the pool as there are guests staying at the hotel. Maybe the beds will be a little bit too hard for some. Apart from that, everything was fine, the breakfast food was very good and you will get very large portions for your money.
Lovely hotel, peaceful and very friendly stsaff”
We had a great stay and we really loved the wooden decor and artifacts around the hotel. All services were great and the restaurant food was fantastic. Great value, professional massages are really worth indulging in.
Beautiful hotel but so much construction noise”
Lovely small hotel with lovely spacious character rooms, nice grounds and pool and good restaurant but bar prices high for Cambodia. Adjacent to the hotel is a new build with a lot of construction noise throughout day. Hotel is well away from the busy areas 10 mins by Tuk Tuk
Wonderful Boutique Hotel”
We loved everything about this Hotel. Its location, its spacious and clean rooms and especially its great staff. The staffs here are so friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to assist you and always with a big smile on their face. I would highly recommend this place to travelers. The hospitality shown by the staffs were one the best I have experienced!
Nice and out of the way, a bit more traditional.”
Overall the hotel is pretty good. It's small, out of the way, and fairly clean. The beds aren't exactly comfortable (our double bed was two twins pushed together) but they get the job done. The place does seem a little bit dirty but I think that's just price you have to pay when whole interior is wood or wood paneled. Not a fan of the bath tub though as it's very small and the bottom feels a bit fragile. I'm also not sure what the pricing is like for the tour groups to the temples, but I would suggest booking this separately through a service listed on TripAdvisor as there is probably a large markup at the hotel itself. Overall it was pretty good and my girlfriend loved it.
My son and I originally booked for three days , two nights, We enloyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay... This hotel is located only a short tuk tuk ride from the center of town. Many things are also within walking distance. The center of town can get very loud at night with some of the bars competing as to who can blare their music louder ! So being able to get away from this was a definite plus. Also not far from Ankor Wat and many attractions. We also wanted a property that has a pool. The staff was always available to help and answer questions. All transactions in Cambodia can be done in US Dolars, if you use local ATMs you will be hammered with a bank fee of $5 or $6.
Enjoyable, relaxed. The airconditioning win our room wasn't up to this hottest time of the year but it was helpful. The staff were lovely, the pool too. Restaurant excellent. Their shop of curios and silk products, over the road, was wonderful: allow plenty of time to immerse yourself in this as well as all your other immersions!
Full of character.”
An excellent hotel, traditional design and decorations, comfortable, clean and well run, in a quiet location. The restaurant is excellent but never particularly busy. Around halfway between the Angkor temples and the city centre.
Perfect getaway to experience the beauty of Angkor”
This is a boutique hotel with the perfect amount of charm and over the top service. We stayed with our 3 and 1 year-old girls and they were treated like royalty. The food was delicious the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Quiet and comfortable stay”
I stayed 4 nights in this hotel. The room was spacious but a bit dark. The food in the restaurant as well as the cocktails were excellent. During the breakfast the staff was a bit overstressed. In the night it was very quiet (my preferation). The small kind of oasis around the pool was very nice and invited to spend some time there.
Better than expected”
Great stay. Wonderfully friendly staff. Peaceful and nice vibration at the hotel, which fit perfectly with my state of mind and intention for the visit. A large 5 Star or expensive hotel would be a poor choice if you want to connect with your spiritual awareness of this amazing place. The Hanumanalaya allows you to be completely in tune with the incredible surroundings.
An excellent boutique hotel”
My stay at HanumanAlaya was one of the most pleasant stays I have had in my travels. All staff were excellent in their care of us and the conditions of the hotel could not have been better. The dining and cocktails were excellent. I will happily stay there again.
Can't fault the room, nice decor. Cleanliness wise - the bathtub is stained and we found a dead cockroach in the bathroom. Staff is very polite and helpful - can organise pretty much everything for you. Breakfast is nice but the menu option is quite limited - so you might get a bit bored towards the end of your stay. Overall it is a very nice hotel and value for money
A lovely oasis”
This was a lovely oasis in Siem Reap. Tucked away in off a quiet street fairly close to the temples, the hotel is intimate, peaceful and romantic. The swimming pool, surrounded by Ganeshas spouting water, mango trees and flowering trees and shrubs, was lovely. The rooms and common areas are all decorated with lovely Cambodian sculptures and art. The hotel staff was very nice. The only negative comment was that the staff was repeatedly unable to change our money from to smaller, more universally accepted denominations. We had to go to another hotel to do this. Otherwise, I would highly recomnent.
The Hotel is Ok but to expensice”
The Stuff of this Hotel is quite nice and supportive. But I guess a but to expensive for the standard in Cambodia. Anyhow its located close to Angkor and its temples so for a trip to Visit them its nice. The nightlife is 2-3 km away.
Authentic Cambodian boutique room & nice pool”
Very nice authetic Cambodian boutique room , really large & nice ambience. Pool is really chilled out but not much light for sunbathing due to jungle feel surrounding pool. Staff are all lovely alrhough be wary of tuk tuks. It is also close to ankor wat than town. Hire a bike ($5) and cycle there to temple within 15,20. Great for sunrise.
