Two Thumbs Hospitality ”
i was stay at moon house @clock tower, the location is super good. u can see the clock tower directly when you out from the hotel, its literally in the citu center of chiang mai. Surround by bar and resto, massage place, bus station and night market. thats the most important, you can go everywhere easily from the bus station. The Room is clean and have complete facilities there like fridge, tv & hot water. Micky the owner is super helpful, he can speak english very well (mostly they are not really speak english) and help us ALOT when we almost missed our bus to chiang mai (Thank you again Micky). so you will get complete package when u are here.
Exceptional”
By far one of my favorite hotels in Chiang Rai. I've stayed at a few of them, and this will definitely be my go to place. The location is extremely convenient and it's right next door to a scooter rental place. Right next to the clock-tower, which some may find annoying when the music pops off. But, otherwise great location. Coffee shops, and places to eat are all within walking distance, and the bars are right down the street if you want some beers and don't want to drive. The staffs English, during my stay, wasn't the best. But, they made the effort to communicate what needed to be communicated. I really couldn't ask for more than that. The main door is also only accessible at night by key-card, so if you lose that. You're going to have a long night, but, I found it to be nice. The interior wasn't top-notch, but, for the price. I felt that it was good enough to service my needs. Also had a balcony for those who smoke. Definitely going back here again on my next trip to Thailand.
Odd but pleasant little place”
The first trick is finding the hotel: there is no sign. Heading down the street from the Clock Tower there is a motor cycle rental on the left. Moon House is the second door past it. The next trick is getting in. When I arrived, the door was locked. Another guest let me in, but the hotel's sole employee wasn't there. She arrived after an hour and signed me in. After that, my stay was quite pleasant. The employee was seldom there but all guests have a key to the front door. My room was spacious, included a nice desk and chair, had plenty of hot water and generally decent wifi. I had a nice balcony and a view of the Clock. There was always fresh fruit in the lobby. The hotel is very clean, and is aging pleasantly. And the location is excellent.
Convenient to many things to see in the city”
A cute, new boutique hotel within short walking distance of the night market, the walking street, the clock tower, various Wats and places to eat. The two young women running the hotel were very helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. The room was spectacular. So many good restaurants all around. Don't miss the night market where you can buy many inexpensive gift items and watch a show while you eat. There are two restaurant areas, one self-service (which I recommend) and the other with wait staff. Self-service is much cheaper and more fun selecting your meal from the many stalls around the seating area.
Good hotel, great location”
Enjoyed my stay here, be warned this street is the "red light" district of Chiang Rai though it's not as ferocious as other Thai cities and you could almost not notice. The hotel itself is nice, staff are helpful. Breakfast wasn't so great but this is typical of Thais trying to make an "Amercian breakfast" it's not really so great but then usually not what people came here for. Right in the centre of CR for what that's worth, room was good value for money.
Cozy and clean guest house”
The guest house / B&B is located near the Clock Tower and is walking distance to Night Bazaar and also Walking Street. Guest house is very homely and clean. You have to take off your shoes and wear slippers in the guest house. Simple breakfast is offered with thai porridge or fried fish fillet which is quite yummy. Guest house is run by 2 friendly ladies.
A clean homely stay with frienly staff”
I enjoyed my stay at the Moon House which was very clean, and quiet away from the noise of the vehicles. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a walking distance from the night market and bus station . There were a number of eateries very nearby and motorcycles could be rent from the next door. There was no food served but bread (with jam, butter, coffee and fruits were given free.. compliment from the Moon House...
Best Location, like ever!”
Stayed here over the New Years eve party, 10 meters away from the PARTY! Which was held around the Clock Tower. Location brilliant! Everything else was good with this hotel, good bed, clean sheets, great shower facilities, extremely helpful staff.
Good location in the middle of the city”
Very perfect location right at the clock tower. Easy to find local food to eat. Near night bazaar. Ensuit bathroom with barcony. Have mini breakfast provided such as Toast, yam, milk, juice, coffee and fruit. Host is so kind and friendly.
Nice guest house, with friendly and helpful staff”
We stayed 1 night at the Moon house and it was pretty ok for the price. Room was spacious with a big balcony, owners very friendly and helpful. Also, the included breakfast was good.
Good budget option, good location, staff MIA”
We enjoyed Chiang Rai and the location was very convenient to the night bazaar and main sights (steps away from the clock tower). Our room itself was large and clean. Wifi very slow. Safe was locked shut and not bolted down anyway. Toilet paper was not replaced and fridge unplugged in the middle of our stay. Nice to have some free breakfast - don't expect much, only toast and jam with bananas. Coffee and tea all day. Lots of ants too, but only when the food was out. We thought it was good value for the price, but don't expect too much. If you're a backpacker in SE Asia this is perfectly nice.
Great location, Great value!”
Loved this little budget option in Chiang Rai - Easy to find, friendly staff, and decent room. This is great overall value for travelers. Breakfast was included, but just average. Overall, I would def. come here again and I recommend it.
A clean guesthouse that feels like home”
Hotel is near the old bus terminal but it is abit hard to locate as there's was no clear sign of the guesthouse when i was trying to locate it while standing around the clock tower. Glad that we book the family room for 3, though we are only 2 of us. Room is big, toilet is rather unique. Only bad thing is that the heater always get trip when we bath as the current is not high enough to support the power. We had to keep cleaning our fingers dry once the MCB trip and we had to switch it on so that the heater will work again. Other than that, everything was perfect. Bed sheet were clean, fast wifi, there was also cable tv with english channels and location is in walking distance to the night bazaar. Hotel also helps to arrange cheap and reliable day tour package for us.
Perfectly Agreeable”
This was our first experience in a budget hotel. Our friends recently visited Chiang Mai and paid $15 a night! So we thought we would give it a go on our Chiang Rai trip, and we're quite pleased to find this property clean, comfortable and perfectly located. We were a 5 minute we walk from the night market and the bus station. We found really great restaurants just one minute away. Give this place a try!
Exceptional”
Within yards of the clock having many restuarants and bars in the area. The owner has this place wired with the besy wifi, electronic key to the place, motion detectors for lights and had a wonderful friendly staff that keeps the place spotless...ps if you need a lobby person, this might not be your cup of tea..
Friendly staff and good location”
While the location of this questhouse was good for me and it was clean and the staff very friendly, i found the first night a little noisy as it backs onto the bar area and there was a lot of loud music and voices from below. I was offered a change of rooms to the other side which they said would be quieter. I declined, but was appreciative of the offer. I did find that the price was a little expensive for what was offered and for what else is available in Chiang Rai. While i enjoyed my stay there, I will in all likelihood not stay again as i know of other places where i have stayed in the area for a third of the price and enjoyed more. this time however my favourite place was booked.
Good location ”
location is good as it's near by clock tower, and walking distance to night market. but, no lift in hotel..not recommended to old people. staff is not friendly at all as we call her, she didnt even wanna see us and when we talk to her, she pretend that she didnt hear. But the lady boss come after 15-20 mins after we keep ringing the bell, reason being is: she need to take care her baby and she is quite friendly. Baby (less than 1 yr old) keep crying since 11pm.
beautiful and comfortable house”
very close to the bell tower and has good location to airport (they supply shuttle bus to the airport about 300b or ,i think it's a little expensive)and supermaket, they supply free breakfast(coffee, tea, banana and bread). The room is lovely and clean, staff are friendly,we stay there for one night,we all think this is the best room during my vacation.
Great location but noisy at night”
Rooms are clean and big enough, but all rooms are double bed only. My friend and I need a twin room, fortunately the mattress is put on floor and no shoes are allowed inside the house, so that my friend can sleep on the floor and I always bring my sleeping bag when travelling. The location is great just next to ST motor, after returning the motor, need not to walk far with big backpack finding the guest house. There are two bars - one next to and one opposite to the house. I was waken up by the noise of disco bass at mid night first time and drunkers yelling at 3am. For one night stay is ok and we're too tired that night, so that's fine.
Good budget hotel”
Big rooms, not sparkling clean but sufficiently clean and good internet. Staff are super nice and helpful even if sometimes their English is basic so you have to do your part. No breakfast per se, but there's always a fruit tray (with a small selection) and you can have free coffee/tea bags. Great location next to the clock tower, a local food market (where you can buy fruit or juices) and in a street lined up with a lot of "farang bars", some with "companion girls" and catering older men and two cool reggae bars for a younger audience.
