      nice natural place”
good to stay in real small bungalows made from bamboo and wood. very nice owner ready to help you in any response. Hoewer it was little bit noisy at night cause three Belarusian men drink and laugh all three nights that we stayed there.

      Disappointing for the price. ”
Close to beach, a couple of nice restaurants nearby.
I was disappointed. My part ocean view room had no view of the sea at all. The shower was a mere dribble and to run for AGES before getting warm. The TV provided BBC World and CNN, but in a snow-storm (OK, I should have been out partying!), but overall I was disappointed and glad I'd brought a torch (flashlight) just to find my way over the obstacles to the light-switch. Having said all this, if you can get a room cheap, it might well suit you if you are wanting to be close to the beach so you can spend your time there. Oh yes, the bed was comfortable and the mosquito-net was effective. Just don't expect to come away feeling that your hair is clean!

Couldnt have picked a better place ”
The location is fab, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are lovely.
We stayed here for a few nights over TET and it was perfect. Reception staff were friendly and always ready to help. The bungalow was quaint but spacious and clean with a private bathroom. It is completely different to staying in a hotel as they are wooden bungalows so it will never be the same kind of luxury but we had fresh towels, electric sockets and it was very quiet and relaxing. The restaurant has a simple menu but great food. The resort is on the beach and you are able to rent scooters at reception and book excursions.

      Loving the moon”
      Awesome beach, groovy beach bar
The moon resort really exceeded our expectations. We used it. A converging point for our two groups of travellers to hang out on Phu quok island and it was beauty. Everyone else we spoke with seemed to agree its the best bang for you buck, whether you just need to chill, or party, or use it as a base to explore the island from,

      Breezy bungalow goodness”
      Beach, brew, bros, birds
We planned only 3 nights here but spent 4, and in fact our friends spent 5. Yeah, that was partly because of a moto bike accident. don't worry, we are pretty much fine. Consensus was that it was a really good deal for the rooms considering the island has quite higher rates than most of Vietnam. A very chilled place in general and I really liked the open concept bungalow in the garden, with a flock of green pigeons singing and keeping us company. No complaints here. The beachside bar with pool table is a bonus too.

Nice venue, relaxing, great beach front”
Location, gardens, beach front and bar, friendly staff
A comfortable stay in a good value resort. Even though they're quite basic, the bungalows are more than adequate for this type of outdoorsy holiday. Aircon was a bonus though. The gardens are very nice and greatly improved over the years. I found the staff friendly, but you're best making your own bookings for daytrips as the staff seem quite busy. Perhaps the laundry is best arranged personally, as I think a few socks went missing from mine. There are plenty of services along Long Beach.

small boutique feel w/ nice beach
The staff was very friendly & the food was good although slow to come out & never served together...but who's in a rush when you are looking out at the sea. The bar on the beach is charming & the location along "Long Beach" is good; close to other restaurants, both on the beach & street. Night market is a 10-15 minute walk each way.

      All about location
great basic bungalows a short walk from the beach. initially the negative reviews scared me off but people clearly have warped ideas of good. this place is in a great location, the staff were super friendly and spoke good english. yes the bungalows are basic, with cold showers and a mosquito net but they are also half the price of anywhere else on this strip. close to town and the markets and the beach was perfect for a late night swim.

      Great for homestyle
We stayed there for 2 nights. The owner was very friendly. They care about the customers. They warned us not to swim in their area around the time we stayed because the sea was very deep and not peaceful. They had motorbikes for rent. The room was very warm because it carried Vietnamese countryside home-style.

      Rustic relaxation”
Location and appearance. I loved waking up to dappled sunlight thrusting through my wicker walls!!
I'd read a lot of reviews before arriving at Moon and so had low - no expectations. Once I got here I was really pleasantly surprised and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, so much so that I extended by a week! As a result, I would like to lay to rest some of the other reviewers' negative comments. Sea views Actual beachside bungalows in all the resorts along Long Beach will set you back a minimum of $50 dollars per night, and are made of concrete, have glass/plastic windows and come with air con. Most of Moon's bungalows are made of twigs and palm fronds (but have wi-fi, mossie nets, ensuite shower & loo facilities and a working fan!) All the bungalows here are set back from the sea in an upwards sloping garden so while it's true that you may not have an actual seaview from your bungalow balcony, it will take you between 3 and 7 seconds to reach the beach where you can stare at the sea all you like. Construction Due to the popularity of Long Beach, a lot of resorts are expanding so there are several construction sites in the area: and yes, there is one right next door to Moon. The workers do start early, before the sun gets hot and yes, it can be a bit annoying to be woken at 7am by the drilling, but then I get to spend the rest of the day napping on a sun-lounger so I'm very easily over it! Rats Not my favourite creatures in the world it has to be said, but I've come into contact with them several times on my travels around Vietnam - they are not exclusive to Phu Quoc! And though I was looking, believe me, actually I was here 8 days before I saw any. When I did, they were on the beach, not in the resort grounds, rummaging through all the rubbish the thoughtless tourists had left behind on the sand, despite the prevalence of bins set out to avoid this very scenario I'm sure. Staff Are lovely! Or at least were to me. Yes, their English varies from mediocre to crap, but their hearts are golden and their efforts are pure. Tip them!!

the location and the staff was very helpful
It is a lovely place for relaxing or going on one of the tours offered. You can get a massage, or threading done, ride jet skis or just chill on the beach. It has a nice little bar. I didn't eat there so I don't know how the food is. The night market is pretty close and that is awesome for dinner so I usually ate there.

Bungalow by the beach, great location!”
Sunset on the beach with a bar and restaurant, pay as you go!
The bungalow had air con and a bathroom, set within a beautiful garden and a very short walk down to the beach. You'll need to get in quick for a seat and shelter on the beach though, residents claim them quickly! But there's a bar and restaurant available to relax in and soak up the view. The sun sets making a stunning scenery with pink skies. There are jet skis for hire on the shore and friendly ladies doing massages/hair removal (with string!) and alovera body wraps if you get burnt. Moon Resort is 'pay as you go' with no mini bar but there is a fridge in the rooms. I prefered this as you leave without a cent to pay. There is no room service, so you'll need to go to the office for more toilet paper/washing etc. We hired scooters which are great for getting around. It's a short trip to town (maybe a minute?) but you can also hire a taxi which they usually line up along the road so no hassles in getting one. We saw people walking also, but I'd suggest you do this after then sun goes down and it's much cooler.

Cheap, right on the beach. Fine for the price.
the property is gorgeous and right on the beach. it's small and the staff is pretty helpful, though they don't speak too much english. the bar was not amazing, but within steps there are other restaurants and bars all along the beach. the only frustrating part of my experience was that i cancelled and rebooked my stay, instead of changing the dates. it was my mistake, but despite going back and forth with agoda and the staff and somebody on the phone and being promised they could take care of the situation i have yet to get any resolution.

      Location
A primitive bungalow on the beach with a beautiful view over the ocean. The restaurant is acceptable, but it is only a 10 min walk from the night marked and there are also nice restaurant on the road to town, 200 m from an Aussie restaurant called hop up with Vietnamese food. There are many insects all over town, not only this hotel. The room is very primitive, you get what you pay for and you can also ask for an ekstra blanket and so on. The hotel has only got 2 starts and therefor there are no extraordinary facilities. The bar on the beach is great with nice cocktails. The staff is very friendly. We can highly recommend to rent a scooter and go around the island. Because we don't like to be on the beach all day it is a very nice break to for a long ride

      Beachside location but accommodation disappointing”
      Beach side location good
Garden fan bungalow accommodation very disappointing with very little comfort in the sparse room. Bed and small table were the only furniture with nowhere to hang clothes, not particularly good when you are there for six days. Bathroom fittings had seen better days. Room cleaning/service was non-existent in the six day stay, may have been available on request but difficult to identify staff with reception opening times inconsistent. Limited choice of a filled baguette at the beach side restaurant for breakfast, didn't bother trying lunch or dinner. Wifi not available in the room, kept on having to go down to the beach bar. Between dogs barking at night and cockerels crowing in the morning, sleep quality was not very good. Overall location on the beach is great but the facilities at Moon Resort leave a lot to be desired. There are better options when you arrive on the island but not many alternatives are available online to pre-book.

Clean, has a great beach bar and its at a great location at the long beach.
I was very anxious about booking a room on Phu Quoc because most reviews were quite mixed about the resorts. In our experience Moon Resort was a nice place, at a great location at the beach and it was quite calm. The beach bar is awesome and even the breakfast is ok, not much to choose from but the quality was good. If the owners would care a bit more about the garden and the road before the reception than it could a perfect place for a reasonable price.

      Price, value, beach bar
I stayed at the Moon Resort about a week ago for 3 days. It is located in the central part of Long Beach, right next to other resorts like Saigon Phu Quoc Resort. My bungalow was very basic, a bed with a mosquito net and a private bathroom. No hot water though. Accomodation is very basic, but for the price is quite alright. The air con rooms looked better from the outside.
