Great Location, Nice Hotel”
I enjoyed my stay at the Moondragon Hotel. The location is great and the facilities are nice. Relatively close to the airport with fares between 150-200B. The location is on the same street where the Sunday Market is held, very close to Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan temples, and is centrally located between the East and West walls of the Old City. If you don't like to walk, songthaews and tuk tuks are readily available. The facilities are nice although the beds were not as comfortable as I prefer and I definitely would ask for a room away from the street which I think would be quieter. Breakfast options were good. Overall, I liked the Moondragon, and would recommend it to my fellow travelers.
Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback!
Great hotel and location ”
Moondragon is a great hotel in a great location. It's very comfortable and located central in the old town of Chiang Mai. It's very small but plenty of space for what you need. It has a yummy mango smoothie place in front. The staff isn't the most friendly but they are professional. The breakfast that's included is great! I would definitely recommend if visiting Chiang Mai.

Great Location”
This time around, we traveled to Chiang Mai in a group and have booked two types of rooms. A suite room and a standard executive room. What we do like about Moon Dragon Hotel are: a) its hotel location which is central to the Sunday Night market. Less working more shopping. b) accessible to certain Wat / Temple and local restaurants which is a must go for us. c) no doubt the set up of this hotel is small with very limited rooms, it is however, cosy. d) its breakfast is rather average. then again, for the price that we are paying for I would say it is value for money. Having said of the hotel's main attraction, there are still room for improvement such as their A/C in the room. We believe that the A/C was not serviced for a while hence we noticed that it was not performing up to its optimum. The very next day, we requested the staff to have a look at our room's A/C and by the time we are back from a day's outing, it worked perfectly.

Great location, big room, great breakfast”
My husband, self and 10yo son stayed at the hotel in Decemeber, while visiting family who lived SW of town. The location was excellent for us, as it was within easy walking distance or tuk tuk from anywhere we wanted to go, and easily accessible for tour companies to pick us up. We really enjoyed the breakfast. I had trouble discerning the room/bed size from the website, but after a couple of communications with the hotel, they helped us make a great choice: the Deluxe Junior Suite, with a rollaway bed for our son. The room was very large, but great for our significant amount of luggage (travelling for 19 days, with lots of Christmas presents). It was also on an upper floor and in the back of the property, so very quiet. The air conditioner worked great! I would absolutely stay at Moondragon again and our family in town will recommend it to others visiting them who want to be close to the sights.
Thank you very much for your comment. Hope you will come back again and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
New hotel in quiet part of city center.”
I would have no reservations about recommending this as a 'bed & breakfast' hotel. It is very new, quite small, well designed, spotlessly clean, spacious rooms & comfortable beds (memory foam) and the staff were helpful & friendly. The only thing which let them down slightly was the breakfast. They have clients from all over the world and they were bravely attempting to please everyone with a limited range. Most people avoided the pool which gets hardly any sun and is therefore pretty cold for Thailand! However if you are looking for somewhere quiet and in a good location it would be ideal for a few days of exploring wonderful Chiang Mai.

Great Location and Staff”
This was our first time in Chiang Mai and would definitely stay here again. It was built in 2015. The location is close to the east gate so you had the best of both the old town and new town. There are lots of options to eat that are close by. The reason why we belive it was not a four star was because of the free breakfast. It was lacking in options and volume. At breakfast one day another couple asked us where we go to 'top up' on food after. But over all it as great. When we needed to extend our stay we went to the front desk and they advised us to book online with Agoda as they could not give us the rate that Agoda did. We found this odd but we appreciated the honesty.
Thank you very much for your comment. Hope you will come back again and we apology for any inconvenience caused.
Great location, good pool ”
We usually are not FMs of big western style breakfasts so if this is important to you you may be a bit disappointed at MoonDragon. But everything else is good- location: in the middle of everything; next to a square of restaurants and shops; comfortable beds and quiet rooms (unless your neighbors let their kids run and scream in the hallways at 6:30 am), So nice to have a pool to cool off in during hot, muggy May. I would definitely stay here again ( we stayed in a delux room, slightly larger with outside balcony).
Thank you very much for your comment. Hope you will come back again and we apology for any inconvenience caused.
Girls' Getaway”
Arrived to Old town Chiang Mai on Sunday morning to take in the night Walking Market which is right out the front door of the hotel. Great central location to walk anywhere in old town. Room was clean and well maintained, a hot breakfast was included.
Thank you very much for your comment. Hope you will come back again.
Great hotel”
We had a very nice time at the Moondragon. The location is right in the old town, close to many temples to visit although nice an quiet at night. The restaurant serves quality food in an outdoor environment.
Thank you very much for your comment. Hope you will come back again.
A top spot ”
Great position to acccess the Old City, great pool, polite staff and good cleanliness. Moondragon is a modern hotel that will suit most tastes. We chose a pool facing balcony room to give us some quietness in what can be a bustling noisey city.
Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback!
Brilliant location, clean and friendly ”
The location is by far the most positive thing about this hotel but that’s not to say the rest is below standard. Our family room was clean and very spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was simple but with a good selection of eastern and western food- the fresh mangoes were the best I’ve had. Staff we’re friendly and helped us with directions, taxis and let us store our bags overnight when we went to the elephant sanctuary. A lovely, small hotel in the heart of the old city.
Thank you very much for your comment. Hope you will come back again and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Exceptional”
We really loved Moondragon. They do require a 500baht deposit that we were not aware of before checking in but they made the process easy, just make sure you have that when checking in. We also loved the location, it is on the road of the Sunday night market which made it easy to enjoy!
Thank you very much for your comment. Hope you will come back again and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

overpriced”
To set the tone of my review, this is about three times as I most regularly pay in Chiang Mai for a night's accommodation. The staff are courteous and efficient, the hotel, it's worth noting, is right in the middle of the Sunday Walking street so be warned that access on Sunday night's will be a nightmare at best! The room was surprisingly small and really had limited facilities for getting your suitcase off the floor. The bed, however, was divine, very, very comfortable. The bathroom, similarly small. There's a lovely pool setting and a nice breakfast area next to the pool, but don't leave it too late, when we arrived with 45 minutes still left for the breakfast session many of the warming dishes were empty so the selection was disappointing. In summary I felt it was not worth the discounted Agoda Rate, let alone the quoted normal rate which was 50% higher again.
Thank you very much for your comment and we apology for any inconvenience caused.
Perfect Hotel”
Staffs are very friendly from front desk to housekeeping... location is perfect and room is big and cosy. will definitely stay again when return to Chiang Mai.
Thank you very much for your comment. Hope you will come back again.
In the Old City Area, clean room, big room space”
I love staying here, the staffs speak fluent english, and surprisingly they can speak chinese. Most of the guests are from China. I stay at deluxe room. The room is huge but with small bathroom. Beware of mosquitoes in the room and at the lobby, do not open the room's window at morning and evening. Bed is super comfort. Breakfast not too many choices but I'm not gonna it that all anyway, so It's ok for me. First morning they give me the breakfast's list and I choose one from the list. Next morning they served it buffet way. I definitely will stay in this hotel next time. Location in the old city area, walking distance to night market and the hotel surrounded with many shops, such as massage, cafe, restaurants, coffee shop, souvenirs. I try the massage in the buddist temple near the hotel.
Thank you very much for your comment. Hope you will come back again and we apology for any inconvenience caused.
Very good”
It's great for travelers /tourists who do not bring their own vehicle as there is no parking lot. However, it's located right on Chiang Mai Walking Street - this is really cool. You will need to book the higher floor if you want a quiet room: It was quite noisy not because of the road and driving cars, but the activities from the above room. The higher room would be better. The breakfast was okay, nothing's special. The service was really impressive. The room was lovely though a bit small.

Exceptional”
Booked the grand deluxe room. Room was exactly as in pictures displayed. Bed was comfy. Room was basically clean but we did notice a few dusty corners. The best part was the bathroom with double sinks, huge comfy bath tub with excellent water pressure. Also love the balcony overlooking the Sunday Walking Market. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Excellent location, easy walk within the old city.
