Absolutely amazing! The best view of Haad Rin!”
It was very pleasant! Lovely welcome by the Owner - Stephan, who also owns central Moonstone bar in the busy markets of Haad Rin central. The Villa was absolutely superb, all basics catered for. Very clean room, very spacious. The major plus of this villa was the view - situated high-up into the mountains, lay this secluded tropical place with beautiful tranquil vegetative surroundings...amazingly put together, lush plants and water features all spanding the lead-up to the villa itself. The crème de la crème is its roof top - which spans the entire floor space of the villa, which as sun beds, tables for an evening 'roof party'! Another bonus feature is the remote mood lighting that surrounds the villa resort! And you even get your own personal remote control to change the roof top lighting aswell! A definate place to stay and I will again if I stay at Phangan!

Amazing week for a group of friends”
I stayed here with four girlfriends during Full Moon in July. We wanted to be a little bit out of the touristy chaos of Haad Rin and felt like we had struck gold with Moonstone Villa. Firstly, Stephane and Kate couldn't do enough for us - ordering food, organising taxis etc but most wonderfully, as we were there for my birthday, Kate had her friend make me a delicious birthday cake. They were contactable at any time, although we had no problems at all. It was the perfect place for us to spend a few days together. We really enjoyed the rooftop in particular, weren't overlooked by anyone which was great for sunbathing etc. There is a bit of a walk up the hill but it was utterly worth it for the tranquility. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, it's worth being here for a few days. Cooking facilities are limited but we didn't want to cook anything and the restaurant down the road recommended by Kate was excellent - one woman taking orders, cooking and serving delicious Thai food :) Thank you so much for an amazing holiday and birthday Stephane and Kate!

Moonstone Villa is the best Location on Kho Phangan to relax, celebrate and just having a good time in Thailand. The managing director Stephane is a great guy and make our residence at Moonstone Villa to a special experience. The resort is located at a beautiful place on Kho Phangan and very central. This was my 4th time in Thailand and Moonstone Villa was the most beautiful place! Awesome view and sunset inclusive!

We really enjoyed our stay here at the Moonstone Villa, it was even the best location we stayed during our whole journey. The villa is located at the top of the property, the walk to the villa is kind of hard, but it's definitely worth it. The view from the top (especially from the roof deck) is stunning! We even saw monkeys jumping around every morning, that was just amazing. The villa is quite big and comfortable and furnished with everything you need. A really big compliment to the owner and the staff: We never felt like "normal guests" or strangers, more like friends. So thank you all for this great experience and take good care. Perfect!”
Everything was perfect, Stephan welcomed us and was more than helpful with advice and organising transport. The villa is in a secluded spot, not looked over by anyone and has an amazing view of the coast and koh samui on the horizon. When the rain arrived we were comfortable to just stay and enjoy the villa. As with many places in the south of thailand sometimes there are power outages but the room was equipped with torches and really it added to the experience. Im not one for writing reviews and have not bothered on the many other hotels we have been to here even when they have been fine, but i just had to big this place up! If your not too energetic try and get your taxi from the pier or airport to take you right up to the parking at the top, if you have travelled all day you might not have enough energy left for the final climb to this lovely villa!

Great sea-view Villa in the Jungle. ”
We stayed at Moonstone Villa 1 night and added 3 more nights because the Villa was so nice and quiet in the middle of the nature. You get a great value for the money you spend on this Villa. The owner and staff are really nice and helpful. You have a great sea-view and there is a pool down the land. You have to walk or ride up the hill to access the Villa but it is simply magic up there.

Tranquil abode with great view!”
We had an excellent stay. The owners, Stephane and Kate, were very accommodating. The location is just outside of Haad Rin (3 mins by scooter) so you are close enough for shopping, food, etc., but far enough away to avoid the mayhem. The Villa is at the top of the property so it enjoys the best views, is the quietest, and there are some really cool jungle creatures just behind you (e.g., monkeys, giant lizards). Looking forward to staying there again!

The best host in Thailand ”
This was the best place we stayed at across Thailand! The room or rather rooms were spacious and comfortable with all the neccassities that one could think of that too in a bear minimum cost. However, what made it even better was the host, Stephane. He was the most helpful and conscientious person that we met in Thailand. Our trip to Koh Phangan was made much better in his care and friendship. Will surely go stay there again.

Great location for full moon party”
The location of Moonstone Villa is great for the full moon party as it is only a 15 minute walk out of Haad Rin, just far enough out of town to take a break from the craziness during the parties. The villa is located on top of a very steep hill which allows for an amazing sunset. We went during monsoon season and as expected it rained a lot which made the walk to the villa (top of the hill) difficult. Stephane is a great host and nothing was ever a problem. He organised laundry, scooter hire and any other adhoc requests. The property and villa are both very well maintained and the setup inside the villa has satellite TV and movies for those rainy days.

A nice surprise”
We booked a while ago so couldn’t fully remember what we had booked but looking at photos before we turned up we didn’t expect it to be so nice. We stayed in the villa at the very top of the hill. It was a full apartment and had a balcony on top of the villa with stairs up to it with sunbeds etc on - so nice & the views were amazing. The hill up is pretty steep but we were fine with it - the lovely men carried our cases up to the top. About 10-15 walk to the beach. Pool really nice too. Would recommend! :)

Amazing Villa up on the hill with Top Seaview. ”
This Villa is amazing, you have all the commodities and a fantastic view of the sea and jungle. You even have a private rooftop !! You can also use the swimming pool and have cocktails down by the reception-bar. Have to go up the hill to access the villa but there is a road access for motorbikes or simply walk up the stairs. Top recommendation.

The villa is alright. Not bad looking. But the road leading to the villa is painstakingly steep. Not the best if you are not 100% ok. The electricity is unstable. Often the light trips when the water heater is turned on. The shower pressure is too soft. Takes you ages to shower. But they hosts are very welcoming and try their best to accommodate your requests.

Acceptable”
The service wea bad, the room was full of bugs and dusty and the only worker that we sew didn't serve us and whan he sew that its dificult to us to carry the big bag that we had and we asked for his help he took the light bag and didn't help us at all with the big bag. The room was far away from the reception and we had to go 10 minutes by foot with a big bag.
