Value for money but a bit far from the bus stop ”
If you are looking for a cheap place to stay then I would recommend this. But if you're looking for a convenient place to stay, I wouldn't recommend this. We often rode Bus 145 and it's about a few minutes walk from the hostel. Given my age and the sweltering heat, it wasn't very convenient for me. But if you're young, maybe this wouldn't be a problem for you. I wish they would keep the rooms cleaner. There's garbage between the wall and the bed. Things that fell down and they're not picked up by the guests and the cleaning crew.
overall everything is good, but my bed quite dirty. i need to clean it up first before using it. the pantry is quite in mess while i'm using it because the rooftop is under construction. for the location, you need to walk around 5-7 minutes from farrer mrt station. if you want to buy anything you need for travel with cheaper price you can come to mustafa centre, it was near around 10-15 menit from the hotel. the staff quite friendly and you can drop your luggage there after check out. for the facilties, 3 of 5 maybe (?)
For ladies.. You should go on female dorm its located on the first floor. If you will go to mixed dorm and you have heavy luggage and backpacks you need to bring those using stairs and its on second &third floor. Overall, my stay here was all good. you will have a nice comfy bed and 24/7 airconditioner. Staff are all good and very helpful. Location is near to MRT Farrer Park station. Very recommended 👍👍👍
Backpacking in Singapore”
My stay was good as I had lovely roommates. On top of that, it was good that Mori Hostel provides coffee, tea & milk all around the clock - but no cold drinking water. I gotta commend Laura for making my stay a pleasant one - she was most helpful and hospitable!
Clean, modern, friendly Hostel suitable for all.”
Located about 5 minutes walk from Ferrer Park MRT station, this hostel looks and feels quite new. It's very clean inside, with plenty of facilities including providing shampoos, hair gels, washer/dryer, free tea/coffee, magazines and breakfast. The vibe and atmosphere of the place is very good, staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Beds in the dorms are surprisingly quite comfy, and each bunk is equipped with it's own wall plug for charging your phone, laptop etc along with a reading light and small storage space. There are also lockers in each dorm room too. Well worth it for the budget traveler passing through Singapore, it's not the most exciting neighborhood, but it's only a couple of MRT stops away from the action.
What a comfy hostel!”
So easy to fine this comfy hostel, just alight at Farrer Park MRT Station then proceed to Exit B. Turn left and you'll find Race Course Road. It's just 5 to 10 mins walk to get into Mori Hostel. 6 beds in a room is quite comfortable for a hostel accommodation. Nice bed, sheet, pillow and blanket, also available universal power socket makes you easier to charge your devices. Cozy design corridor and dining room. Breakfast is simple but it's enough to start your day. Friendly reception, (I forgot his name) as he still recognize me since my last stay on last year. Will be back here for my next trip to Singapore.
COZY HOSTEL WITH GREAT LOCATION”
This is my second time stay in Mori Hostel, and We got same room, mixed dorm for 6 persons. It same with our last stay, the reception was helpful, the room was clean. They provide simple breakfast toast, jams, coffee and tea. Location is 8 minutes walk to Farrer Park MRT Station Definitely will stay again here.
Nice place, artsy, centrally located”
it was a pleasant stay. we stayed at this hostel for 2D1N. the room is big enough for 4 of us. we booked mixed dorm 6 bed. the room is very clean and spacious. breakfast is cereal and bread with jam. free tea or coffee everyday. and the staff is very helpfull and nice. There's a guy named Mr. Rahman (as i can remember the name) who allowed us to leave our luggage so we can go to Malaysia without carying our heavy bag. the bathroom is also clean. so we recommend this hostel for those who want to spend some days in singapore with budget cost. THUMBS UP!
Overall a great backpacker hostel”
Overall a nice place to stay, it is a 5-min walk to Farrer Park MRT. The staffs are attentive and helpful, they make us feel really welcomed. Breakfast served was very simple : coffee & tea, cereals, milk and breads. The toaster was kind of faulty during my stay but there is a microwave in the pantry. Wifi connection is good in the dorm. But remember to keep your belongings safely in the locker (padlocks not provided but can be bought over the reception). I left my immigration card in the locker without padlock because it was wet, and it was gone when i got back to the dorm at night. Possibly trashed by the janitor who cleaned up the dorm. It will be better if there is a room/space for the travelers to interact like some other backpacker hostels offers. Mori hostel is more like a place for shower and sleep.
comfortable stay with affordable price”
We were warmly greeted at the reception. Our private room was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped with amenities like safety box, hair dryer, tv, reading lights and so on. A few minutes walk to get the Farrer Park MRT station. Internet was super fast! Will definitely stay there again.
Great sleeping place with low price”
It's simple but it has all the things you need. It's cheap but it provides a comfortable sleep. It's convenient - just a 5-minute walk to the Farrer Park MRT Station. The bed is bigger than normal, and it's clean and comfortable to sleep on.
The hotel is value for money. For a SGD 20 (total six of us, SGD120) to get a six bed dorm is like getting a hotel room that can fix 6 person :) You can't get a hotel offer such as good deals, no even Hotel 81 / Fragrance standard. Receptionist is superb friendly :)
Comfort & Style in a Quiet Part of Little India”
Enjoyed my six days here. Bunk bed was comfortable and wide but rather squeaky; the other beds in my dorm were not as noisy. If you're arriving late at night, here are two tips: (1) Make sure you get the access code to enter the building emailed to you at least one day before your arrival date. I didn't get the code but, luckily, met someone who kindly let me in. (2) Because I'd read that guests are given bed linens at check-in to make their own bed, I brought a sleeping sheet with built-in pillow case to lay on the mattress my first night, rather than disturb my fellow dorm mates by trying to make my bed at 2 a.m. I used the hostel linens to make my bed the next morning after everyone was up. The bus stop (#07221: Sri Vadapathira Kaliamman Temple; second bus stop after Farrer Park Station) on Serangoon Road is closer to Mori Hostel than Farrer Park MRT Station. From that bus stop, walk back a few meters/yards and turn right on to Beatty Road, turn right again at Race Course Road and there's Mori Hostel across the street. Buses that stop at #07221: 21, 23, 64, 65, 66, 125, 130, 139, 147, 857.
I recommend this for backpacker/budget traveler”
As a backpacker/budget traveler, I do recommend this if you are not particular to stay in a single room and pay much higher for that room and just stay on a sharing/dormitory room since you'll not stay the whole day at the hotel but you need to take most out of your time outside hotel to see and roam around the city and enjoy your day in Singapore. Interior designs are nice!
Great place to sleep in after travel”
I had a great time. Although we only stayed for a night, the staff were so nice and even helped us with our luggage. You can't often find a guest house that willingly lets you leave your luggage even after check out. If you're a kitchen person, you would love what they had in their kitchen. I love making breakfast myself so I enjoyed using the kitchen. It's just too bad though that they didn't have a refrigerator for cold juice.
Decent New Hostel in Little India”
My stay here was short but the room was good, the shower and toilet were both well-kept and clean. They also provide body and hair shampoo in the shower room and also they give you a bath towel to use at no extra charge. The walk from MRT is about 7 minutes or so. So getting around is easy.
The worst hostel I’ve ever stayed”
I and my partner stayed 3 nights at the hostel, we booked a double room. Cleanliness was literally awful. I found broken manicured fingernail on the shelf and there were used cotton buds in between window frame and window. Moreover a shower room on the second floor was filthy as.. it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for ages. Both of us have lots of experiences staying at hostels&backpackers, we barely leave reviews after our stay but we really want to let everyone know whomever considers to book this hostel.
Expensive for what you get!”
Feel it was over priced for what you pay for compared to other local hostels within walking distance. For example the breakfast there was no way to even make toast, and the staff working that morning didn't seem to care. Plus the cereal was stale.
I loved the services of the hostel, staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is designed for you to make friends as you can see everyone in the room. Any movement in the room can be heard and seen and you will be looking at your next bed face to face when you sit up/ lie down. Bathroom, bedroom and breakfast area are all mouldy. The bed and pillow are not clean so I used the linens and blanket as a bedsheets instead. If you are at the lower bunk, you will be experiencing dust from the floor as well as dust from the upper bunk. So every movement is dusty in general. I am glad I got a safe place without bed bud to rest instead of on the street for the night.
Just 5 minutes from nearest mrt station. great staffs. clean room.
