Just awesome!”
We stayed for 4 nights, it was really really great! An awesome Eco hotel!!! The food is soo good and tasty, you can just eat at the hotel restaurant, with a good price and an awesome view. Everyone from the staff is sooo nice and friendly, loved all of them. They are so patient to help you with everything, whatever you need. Freddy, the owner, is such a great person, trying to reduce plastic and garbage, he is even collecting plastic whereever he goes. He even did a private Ikat Tour with us, explaining everything in english - and did not even ask fir money. Thanks morinda for the great time in your hotel! If i could, i would give them even more than 5 stars!

Breathtaking view, adventurous activities, Lovely companion”
I took 3 nights stay in deluxe room. The view from the room and balcony is spectacular: you can see hills and river from the top, hear birds chirping in the morning, got to see sunrise too. They offer 2 activities there ( trekking to see sunrise on the top of the hill and river boat) with extra money for guide and transportation but those all worth it. We tried the river boat...it was amazing... We got batman and Tauwi ( 2 brave and friendly dogs) accompany us to take the journey on the boat ( there are canno, boat and stand paddling boat). Unique experience with spectacular view. Pak Freddy is very friendly and willing to tell and explain everything. The staffs are also very nice.

Cozy place with private cottage. Beautiful view, we really enjoyed the scenery, even at night we could see thousands stars in the clear sky. So happy we could take milky way picture just from the deck they provided. Thank you so much!

A peaceful place 26 September to October 02 Exceptional 9.6 We stayed for 6nights in Morinda, and it was very great experience. All staffs were very very friendly and helpful. Also the dogs Badman and Tauye . The location is quite far from city center, but they proved sunrise tracking up the hills and canoeing also beautiful scenery located in a hill. The view from each room beautiful as it seen in the pictures, superb! Hills, river and rice fields are right in front of our balcony The room was good size for us. We stayed for 2 nights in Morinda, and it was very great experience. The check-in and check out process was smooth. Mama and her staffs were very very friendly and helpful. The location is quite far from city center, it's located in a hill. The view from each room as beautiful as it seen in the pictures, superb! Hills, river and rice fields are right in front of your balcony. I celebrated my birhtday in here and very happy to share the joyness with Mama and all staffs. The room was big, but since it's located in a nature area, you might expected lizard and insects. No phone signal at all, that's why I called it a peaceful place. They provide a sunrise tracking trip, a short tracking in a hill near the hotel, too bad I couldn't managed to woke up that early :( Overall it was a very great experience for us to stay in Morinda, and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

This is surely the most recommendable Hotel in this Area. Outstanding friendly and professional Staff and Manager. If you travel to Waingapu and want to enjoy the Scenery at its best and feel like staying in a small 5 Star Resort, for a very reasonable price, this is definetly the right accommodation.

The room/villa is very nice with large window so u don't miss the outside scenic view. There is no wifi or phone signal here so u can feel very isolated from the outside world. U can spend 15~20mins hiking at the adjacent hills and enjoy the most beautiful 360° sunrise/sunset view.

Perfect place to stay while you're in Sumba Timur. Though it takes 30" from city center, this set of villas offers more than just a pleasant and memorable stay. Great food and accommodation, I experienced the best holiday in Sumba.

Great view but no signal and lots of mosquitos”
The place is kind of far from the city center but that's what you have to exchange for the great view! Theres no signal, and no public computer or internet as well so it might be hard arranging your transport or having external contact from the villa. Theres lots of mosquitos if you open the door a bit too long. But omg the view is to kill for, the mosquito bite might be worth it.

Romantic place with no internet where you can enjoy the views and the serenity around you. The staff was really helpful and friendly. It was leaking in our room and they had another ready in no time. We loved the terrace/dining area even though it could use a fan because it can get really hot when there's no wind (40 degrees Celsius!) This is a great base to explore the east of Sumba and to take a step back and relax.

A hidden gem of east Sumba.”
It's beautiful place. The room was clean and comfort, except for the bugs that keep coming inside at night, disturbing. The food is good since there was very limited options to dine in around Sumba. The staffs are very helpful. We were accompanied by a staff to go for a morning hike to see sunrise up the hill. But most of all the view is the highlight! It feels like you have all the Wairinding hills in front of your room, not to mention the river and surroundings..perfect! We'll be back if we have a chance to visit Sumba again.
