One of the very best basic hotels ”
We were very surprised by the quality for the price at the Morning Dew. Everything was clean and even though it looked like either a new hotel or recently refurbished it was spotless. it is basic, almost spartan, which may not suit some, but everything you need is provided and more importantly it all works and has been maintained. The attention to decor also indicates a management that takes pride in providing a good hotel and service. The breakfast was again basic but good. The only two downsides were limited parking in the parking out front but there was still plenty of street parking and there was no lift and we were on the third floor. Not too much efort to take our bags up and the stairs were good and wide which helps. Whenever i am in Chiang Rai i will be using this hotel as my base. Highly recomended!

Clean and Comfortable Hotel”
The rooms we stayed in Morning Dew Lodge Hotel were quite spacious and clean. Even though there is a balcony, we did not get out to it as it was facing the main road ( the other side of the hotels are facing housing area) , and hence, I think it serve no purpose for travellers like us. After all, the balcony of our room gets the scorching hot evening sun whilst the rooms of my friends facing the other side of the hotels get the morning sun which make our rooms felt warm. The hotel provides breakfast, and they serve breakfast in the dining area which are cosy and comfortable, like in a home environment, thus, we feel like having breakfast in our own homes. The room rates are very reasonable and it is not far from the night bazaar of chiang rai and the attaractive clock tower at a beautiful roundabout.

Small but nice in customer service”
A small but nice one.. good memorable of customer service who they are willing to help with many questions asked as of my first trip to Chiang Rai. For those who love personalize like home staying>> Morning Dew Lodge is recommended. Suggestion to improve is breakfast as of no.of choice is limited and look not nice. For those who drive, parking space is an issue as only 10 lots available rest of those have to park beside street but security guard is well trained enough to taking care. Next visit to Chiang Rai early of Jan 2011 will again staying in this hotel

Cheap, clean and decent location”
Only having a short time in Chiang Rai and wanting to fit a lot in, we were expecting very little time in the room. Morning Dew Lodge was one of the cheaper options during our search and was perfect for the job. The room was spacious and clean, there was a hot shower and breakfast was included (eggs, toast, cereal and traditional food). The hotel was probably what some would call, out of the way. It was out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist area but for us this was not a problem, it was only about a 15 minute walk (turn right out of the hotel and continue straight) to the Clock Tower and everything else including the Night Bazaar and bars were just off that. The walk was pleasant and full of local food stands. Overall we found it an ideal place to stay for our short time in Chiang Rai.

Well positioned excellant value reasonable rooms.”
This is a good place to stay . The service is great and you are well cared for . If you are in chiang rai you should try and get to the night food markets they are exceptional. Also make sure you go to see ajarn chalamchais White Temple ... This is an experience that no-one should miss. Try to see this temple in daylight and also at night. This guy and his people are to be commended this is very specialand you need to take your time here

The Rooms are Simple and Clean mostly like a Typical University Students room Location is decent and on the edge of town. Great if you have your own Transportation. Internet is was fast enough to stream Netflix with only occasional hiccups. If looking for an Inexpensive place to stay I recommend Morning Dew Lodge

Confusion at check-in but fairly pleasant stay”
Morning Dew is a bit of a walk away from the heart of Chiang Rai (about 20 minutes walking from the Night Bazaar and bus terminal). Our room had air-conditioning and wifi, and the bathroom was good (nice hot water). A few ants but otherwise clean. However, when we checked in around 7pm, our room wasn't ready, nor did the concierge seem to know about our reservation. They hadn't given us a third bed, which we had requested online and already paid a fee for. And when we finally got it, it was just a mattress on the floor. Overall though, the hotel staff seemed apologetic about the inconveniences and was generally nice. Breakfast was free and decent.

Nice quiet hotel and friendly reception.”
The Hotel not far from the clock tower and morning market. It is however located in a nice quiet corner away from the crowds. Breakfast is reasonable for such budget accommodation, but don't expect much. Room is reasonably furnished and bed is comfortable enough to sleep well. They have bicycle provide free for you to get around. Staffs here are friendly and helpful.

Big room and helpful staff”
i stayed at this hotel only for 1 night and we plan to around this city but we can not figure out how to get all the place we want because we was not look any public transportation that can be use. so we go to the reception and started to ask a city map and the staff offer to help with rent us a car. very helpful staffs, big room, hot water, great buffet breakfast, although the location wasn't too near to night bazaar but we really don't mind..only(15 minutes walking and 8 minutes with tuktuk)

For he price it was worth the money ”
It was great especially the location almost in the center near the clock tower the temples and the night bazaar there are some places to eat nearby but the hotel doesn't have a restaurant. The free breakfast is simple, it's buffet style there are cereals, meat selection, rice or noodles, soup, bread and some typical basic breakfast. The room a/c works great the room is very quiet and clean. There is a flatscreen tv and a fridge the only thing is it only has Thai channels lol. They give free bathroom amenities like soap shampoo and conditioner. They do charge for extra pillows like 20bht but towels are free. The staff are very nice thou doesn't speak great English but they try to understand or help you with smile. Parking is available for free. My only concern was the water pressure is low I'm not sure is it because we're in the third floor but will take you a while to finish taking a bath, thou there is heater.

A fabulous stay”
This was a great value. As you can expect for the price the rooms are extremely simple but the daily maid service was one of the best in Thailand so we didn't have to ask for in thing. We extended our stay and would have stayed even longer if the room was still available. The owner was fluent in writing and speaking english. She arranged drivers for tours and transportation and offered her cell number in case we needed it. If the staff was at anytime unable to assist us they found a way to. The complimentary breakfast was very good and changed each day. All the staff was cheerful and very well trained.

Really value for money at this price range”
Room is big and clean. Bath room is big and well maintained with cold and hot shower. Small balcony with huge sliding balcony door allows ample natural daylight to diffuse into the room. Room is equipped with a fridge and satellite TV. Front desk staffs are very helpful. It even comes with breakfast at this proce range. The only setback is the location of the hotel which is a little bit far from town with less songthaew and tuk tuk.

Good for a budget traveler ”
It was nice getting breakfast every morning, the beds were comfy, it was quiet and the showers were hot. However, there was no hairdryer in the room, no elevator, and the place was a bit far away from all the restaurants and street food. Because the tourist sites are so spread apart in Chang Rai we had a motorcycle so the distance wasn’t a big deal but you should know about it before you book there.

Fine old place”
These are good basic accommodations. It’s a walk out of downtown to a quieter corner of the center, but that was a plus for me. I was riding a motorbike around northern Thailand. The breakfast is just eggs or cereal. Coffee is always available. Staff were nice. Wifi worked.

Satisfactory sums it up.”
Not a bad location, but it all depends on what you are doing in Chiang Rai. I was just here for a few days then moving on to Chiang Mai. No one really speaks English so it is very hard to ask questions and if you get lost, well, good luck. The young person at the front desk was as helpful as they could be with not knowing very much English. The breakfast was satisfactory. Cold, but filled the belly. The bed was comfortable, I had a hot shower and the A/C worked. I just had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with heavy luggage. No one to help me, and as a 60 year old female, that was challenging. Everywhere else I've been over 2 weeks there was someone that could help me if there were no elevator.

Clean room”
We staied one night in superior balcony (wtih no balcony! haha). The room was good and very clean, it's seem like a new apartment. We had a lovely stay and good sleep. If you are on the budget this will be a good hotel for you but if you are looking for a nice and comfy luxury room, don't book it!
