Unbelievable value”
The staff is devoted and lovingly attentive. Fresh juice when we returned from our daily excursions. The rooms are outfitted with lush beddings and the hotel itself is on the outskirts of town, close enough for convenience but quiet and private. They provide bicycles for the guests at no charge. An outstanding place to stay in Nyaung She.

Highlight of Myanmar”
The staff at Motel Album (I think all one family) are the friendliest people I met in Myanmar. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and help me with anything I needed. They knew exactly what I needed or wanted before I asked. The facilities there are fantastic (clean, work well, new). The location is 1-2 blocks away from everything so it's walking distance to anything while being away from yh backpacker feel of the city. Wifi works better in some locations that others but I found all of the Inle Lake area to have slower wifi than the rest of Myanmar. Also, for a newer hotel (1.5 yrs old), everything flowed and functioned perfectly. Let me check in at 4am and gave me a late check out just before my night bus. Do yourself a favor and book this place. It quickly became a highlight of my entire stay in Myanmar.

Highly recommended”
Had a great stay here, with the nicest staff we've encountered. They let us check in very early (4 am) and also did not charge for breakfast a few hours later. All very cheerful, accomodating, and generous. The room we stayed in was spacious, with sufficient facilities (chairs, cabinet, minibar, toiletries, towels..), and large windows on 3 sides of the room which we loved. The surroundings were gardens, so was very peaceful. Location was just 15-30 minutes walk to town or to the jetties, or you can rent bikes for 1500 kyat a day. All in all a great experience.

Great Rooms, Great Location, Caring, Friendly Staff”
My husband and I loved our stay here. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We got there very early our first day from the overnight bus and slept through breakfast and they came and asked if wanted anything and brought it right to the room later in the morning. We were sick the first couple of days and they would check on us and ask if we wanted any fruit or drinks. The rooms are great--very big and very clean. Everything looks very fresh and new. The shower is good with hot water and the bathrooms are nice. Air con works good and there is a TV channel that plays English movies so that was nice. The location is great. It is a bit out of the center and very quiet with lovely views of the mountains. You can easily walk to everything within a few minutes so best of both worlds. I would highly recommend staying here!

Treated like family!”
I spent 4 nights at Motel Album in early February and loved my time there. Upon my arrival, I was allowed to check-in early free of charge and was even given breakfast when I checked in. At that moment, I could see how kind and generous the family is that runs Motel Album. Speaking of breakfasts, their breakfasts were made-to-order and always included plenty of fruit (some grown right on the property itself), tea or coffee, and toast in addition to the main item they are serving that day (the shan noodles breakfast was my favorite). Personally, I loved Motel Album's location, as it's on a road that leads south out of the town, yet is within walking distance to anything you'd want to see in Nyaung Shwe. While it's a little further to walk to some of the top restaurants in town, I appreciated that the area was basically free from backpackers and tour groups and had a wonderful local ambiance. The area was quiet, peaceful, and full of local life (i.e. people washing clothes in the creek). I booked a boat tour at the hotel, used one of their bikes on multiple days, and even booked my onwards bus ticket to Hpa An through Motel Album with no problems. In all honesty, I found Inle Lake to be too touristy for my tastes, but I loved Nyaung Shwe, and Motel Album was a big part of that. Even on my last day, I was allowed to check-out late at no charge as I waited for my early evening bus to Hpa An. Again, the family that runs Motel Album is so kind and helpful, and I'd gladly stay there again if I'm ever in Nyaung Shwe.

Great location, helpful host!”
Quiet and dust-less side of the town. Still not too far away from the center of the town. Walking disrance to the jetty for the boat ride to Inle lake. Breakfast was wonderful, on-site bike rental is super convenient.

Authentic place. Owners make you feel very welcome.”
The owners of this place are the kind of people you instantly love with, and feel very honoured to stay in a facility run by them. There is no 5 star hotel that can provide this of authentic and heart-warming service. Great breakfast. Wi-fi did not work in my room most of the times, and windows could use an anti-mosquito net. Other than that highly recommended.

High Quality and Friendly Family ”
This was such a lovely place to stay!! The family that owns this place is so thoughtful!! They anticipated my need for a shower before the overnight bus and had a towel and soap waiting for me when I came back to pick up my luggage. They brought juice to my door when I came back after a day of biking, and were generally helpful and attentive. This is such a plus when you are traveling alone! It is a little bit away from the center of town, which is pretty clear in the reviews and description of the location, but for anyone who is used to walking or biking for 10-20 minutes to get somewhere, this shouldn't be a problem. I enjoyed the walk and in the evenings they let me use a bike for free to go get dinner. My room was clean and had everything I could need. The hot shower was especially glorious after 2 nights of cold bucket showers during my trek to Inle Lake. The wi-fi was not always the best, but that seems to be common throughout Myanmar, so it didn't really bother me. The only thing I would suggest is that the family invest in turning at least one of their 2 bed rooms into 2 singles - it would even work with a shared bathroom. I ended up in a room with 2 beds and it just felt like a waste since the room was so big. Still, I would recommend this place to anyone - singles or not.

Calm and super friendly!”
A super nice Hotel/Motel at the edge of town, where you are free from the main part of the tourists. It is run by the sweetest family, super competent, generous and friendly. They were always nice to help and give pointers etc. Because of the position of the Hotel you are quickly in the center and at the same time surrounded by nature in really calm surroundings. We highly recommend it!
