Best Value in Eilat and Great Staff”
Staff, staff, staff
Up the hill about 10 minutes walk from the airport/center, great value for Eilat where lodging is VERY costly. But the best thing about the Hotel is Maier, the very helpful and friendly daytime manager. He was the nicest person we met in 2 weeks traveling across Israel.

Lousy hotel with rude unhelpful staff. ”
I only stayed one night!
The room was like an oven with no air conditioning. When I complained the man at the front desk gave me an old dirty fan that didn't oscillate. The lobby smelled of noxious fumes from the poorly ventillated lobby room. When I tried to open a window to avoid suffocating the staff yelled at me.

Very basic but inexpensive stay in Eilat”
proximity bus station, wireless, free coffee and tea
the shared dorm room is incredibly cramped with 3 beds in a room that can accommodate maybe two beds. that being said, the owner was amazingly kind and helpful, had some nice conversations with him. Good for an overnight stay in Eilat while waiting to cross the Jordan border. But wouldn't use it as a beach base or vacation. (dorm room, I mean).

very nice stay”
cozy, clean rooms, helpful staff and good location
Very good place to stay in Eilat. It's relatively cheap as for Israel, rooms are clean and cozy, swimming pool is very nice as well. Also, staff is extrimely helpful and friendly. It's pretty close to everything.

More hotel than motel”
Location, super-friendly staff of one, great balcony views
Despite its name, Aviv looks more like a hotel. The rooms are modern, simply furnished and functional, but clean and well equipped. I was expecting the worst when the guy at reception (the only staff I saw during my two-day stay, but he called me by name every time he saw me) handed me a plastic bag with two towels, two bars of soap and a remote control. Despite my pleasant surprise at the quality of the room, I had two problems with it. First, the remote control required pressing three buttons to turn the TV on, and once it was on, I had no idea how to access the channels. Hotels need to invest in remote control systems that allow you to simply point, press (once) and watch. The second problem was that my room smelled like mildew. It was coming from the sheets, which smelled like they were left in the washing machine for too long before being put in the dryer. Unfortunately, there was no housekeeping service to change them on the second day.

Very reasonably priced accommodation”
2 minutes from central bus station, very helpful and friendly staff, close to shops and restaurants
Very comfortable. Very helpful staff. We stayed 2 nights, with one night in between when we took a 2-day tour to Petra. They have 24-hour staffing at reception, and although they don't provide breakfast, there are plenty of places nearby (supermarket, bakery) to get makings for your own breakfast.

Basic Budget Hotel”
Price
For the price it's a decent stay, but do NOT expect a resort hotel. There is a small pool - although I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families. It's a budget, basic hotel with small rooms. They give you towels and the remote at check in. The shower and bathroom are a combo..meaning wet floors constantly, but there is good pressure in the hand shower and hot water. The bedding is clean and the bed comfortable enough although hard. All in all, it works for a night if you're using Eilat to go to Petra, but I wouldn't stay here if you're looking for a vacation along the Red Sea in Eilat. I should mention the service is great! The man who runs the place is wonderfully helpful and kind. He goes above and beyond to make you feel at home.
