Hotel was average, cheap option upon arriving very rude customer service from the husband, although wife very friendly and helpful vaccine passports are still required here, ran out of time for other hotel options so this was the last resort considering our situation not very helpful information wise linen had stains bed average kitchenette tidy aswell as bathroom, the room had flies flying around inside most facilities closed eg spa/gaming room and pool was very disappointed!

Clean and comfortable, nice pool and spa, friendly staff taking no chances with covid. No air-con, but the fan provided was sufficient for us on the very hot and humid night we stayed. Others might not find it adequate under similar circumstances.

Motel owner denied check-in, accuses us of trespassing”
We reached the motel at 8.07pm to find the reception closed, so we called the number list on the office door. No one picked up, so we waited, hoping for someone to attend to us as we saw some lights. Few mins later, the motel owner (he said so himself) appeared and we politely requested for check-in. He asked if we understood the sign on the door - no check-in beyond 8pm. Later accused us of trespassing his property. 1) Agoda listed reception open until: 10:30 PM, not 8.00pm. Either way, it's the responsibilty of the owner to get this right. 2) He said he saw us on CCTV, but deliberately didn't answer the call. Presumely he saw that we're Asian and so question our ability to understand the door sign. Outright racist. 3) He accused us of disturbing him & trespassing. We were outside the reception office. If that is considered trespassing, I suggest the motel close permanently and don't accept any more guests, as everyone will be trespassing. We couldn't be bothered to argue with this and left without staying there. Good luck to anyone who wants to book this accommodation.

Stayed for a night ”
Stayed here for a night on way travelling north. Good value, good location ( although I had a car) some nice things to donin whangeri for the evening - walk to the local water falls from mair Park Etc This premises was a bit old - but friendly staff and clean - good for those on a budget - can park right outside room

awesome, affordable, comfortable”
our stay was fine. We enjoyed the pool and the space outside for the kids to run around. it was close to all amenities including town, and quiet and clean and comfortable. Most of all this was a really affordable option

Location was the main feature”
Basically in & out - in area for work function for 1 evening. Jus the basic room, had everything but needs upgrading. Has a swimming pool and spa which was good but was too wet for pool & spa was closed when we were able to go. There must have been a youths sport function happening as there many children running around, knocking on our doors - complaints from other rooms as well. Not motels error but wasn't relaxing there with children running past room knocking on your door frequently - did forward complaint but children still noisy. Anyway short stay so overall okay but because of this experience probably want go back there again.

Good value, cheap motel but clean & friendly staff”
excellent fan heaters heated the room very fast, thank heaven, because it was a frosty night. unfortunately they turned the sleeping blankets on for us, which we hate, but i'm sure most people would have liked that as an added plus! old style motel which was clean and had fresh coat of paint, curtains, etc. tv & fridge in the room, cooktop & microwave, so you could easily stay there for a week. yha double room was nz$54 in comparison. has a human life-size chess board you can try, plus a pool. don't think they have a restaurant so didn't eat there but had to give food/dining a mark below to submit?
