I was unexpectedly in San Francisco for 24 hours with a missed connection. I found travelodge on agoda with a very competitive price. It was strangely hot for October, so the photo of the pool got my attention. SFO info directed me to the free shuttle bus and I was at their door 2.30pm for 3pm check in. After waiting 5 minutes the friendly staff directed me and my ...

Its not fancy and its in a very run down location without much around it, but the motel itself is much nicer than anything else in its price range BY FAR. I just wish Agoda (the only way you can book this place) was more up front about pricing. The facility charges $5 a day to park there. At a motel. Who goes to a motel without a car?

If you want a clean room right downtown, (but also in a pretty rough area) at a really good price, then you will like this place. They have been doing major renos on the place, and my room was recently re-done, clean, and the sheets were clean....no complaints! Just a heads up that the area is a bit rough with homeless people. Most of downtown San Francisco was just f...

If you are going to The Arena, I would recommend this hotel. Its super near to arena and near to their downtown too where there are cafes and other cafeteria. It also near to northface outlet shops and to a few tourist areas. However, room is a little dark and the walls are thin as you can still hear ppl walking upstairs during the night.

The motel is clean, although house keeping just made beds and didn't tidy the chip my son had left on the bedside table or the soap wrapper left on the window sill. My issue was at midnight our 1st night they emptied the glass bin below our window. A crashing breaking of glass when you've has a long day and are sound asleep is not welcomed. The following night at 11pm ...

As in my previous review, I continue to appreciate the affordability of this place. I hope the City of Oakland, encourage and support "mom and pop"establishment like this so that, ordinary middle income earner will be expose and hopefully explore the beauty and diversity that the city offer. I used to lived in San Francisco and Marin and never thought of exploring Oakl...

This is an older style accommodation with some wear and tear, but if you are doing the tourist thing in San Fran you literally are only sleeping. We found the rooms size ok, slightly smaller than what we are used to in Australia, but as we were literally just using our accommodation for sleeping it didn't worry us. Breakfast is quick packaged food, but often we would...

Overall, our stay is good at the motel. It's hard to find a hotel with free parking in San Francisco. However, when we arrived there at about 2:30 pm, there was no one for checking in. It's ok since checking in starts at 3pm, but that forced us to change our plan.

Some people describe neighborhood as sketchy, however most of Oakland is like this. The motel is just across the road from Lake Merritt and within 15 minutes walk from downtown on safe (by Oakland standards) streets. Everyone visiting should try a hike around the lake -- it is three miles, takes about 50 minutes and is a treat. Only walk during safe hours. The good...

I booked 2 nights queens room with bathroom. When i reached the hotel, they let me see the room first and proceed for payment. But, after i check in the room and know that is no shower inside the bathroom. I request for refund and refused to stay here. They only accept 1days refunds and i stay 1 night cancelled 1night. The lobby smells like u went in to the other world...

great location, right in the central of chinatown. within walking distance to everywhere...the staff at the front desk was very friendly and informative. we got all information related to transportation and tourist attraction from them. also, the price is very reasonable for such a good place to stay in san francisco.

I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO ANYONE!! We arrived hotel at 1 a.m. The stuff even didn't welcome us. He suddenly said credit card and id. I asked several questions and again no answer. Just like a parrot he continued credit card and id. It was the rudest attitude we have ever faced in USA. The location is ok if you have a car. 20 minutes drive to some attractions. No...

room was clean but small. very thin, small towels. no hair dryer or coffee maker - basic amenities. there was a small refrigerator in the room. good for family with small children or babies. area was quiet. there was no tv remote in the room - had to get it from the office. staff were very nice and helpful. basic room - but nice and clean. nothing special but great pri...

It is very hard to find a decent budget location in place like San Francisco. This motel was a good choice though you do have to accept the limitations. The rooms are not very big and parking for your vehicle is very tight though free, which is a big positive in San Francisco. The breakfast was minimal and the staff was not particularly friendly. Location is very good ...

Apart from the lack of view, the place is great for the price one pays. The management welcomed me with warmth and was very helpful in guiding me on the dos and don't of San Francisco. Room was neat and confortable. Everything was kept clean and functioned well. Would recommend this to anybody

Small hotel in a good location with some nice restaurants and bars nearby, and the area better than some parts of San Fran with no homeless people about. Room was ok size but needed updating in the curtains chairs and carpet. Had annoying neighbours next door who kept their door open all the time with about 10 of them staying in the room, walls are quite thin. No break...

I was surprised the lobby is barricaded and required buzzing in, with plexiglas to protect the attendant and the waiting room smelling like urine. The attendant was pleasant, and the room had a modern card key. The room had a large bed with comfortable mattress and good down pillows, a refrigerator, microwave, modern flat screen TV. On the downside, there was a 3" x 8"...

Traveler impressions of San Francisco (CA)
San Francisco is amazing destination for who like metropolitan city as well as nature, many different shopping area and attractions especially in Fisherman Wharf areas
Nice place to travel to for short sight seeing trips. Most of the nicer places to visit is outside of San Fran city.
Fun city, some cool things to check out. Get the CityPass if there for more than a few days, well worth the money- for $94 you get public transport for a week, Alcatraz, Exploratorium, California Academy of Science and the Aquarium.
This is a great city with lots to do. Here is a list of must do's when you are there -Alcatraz Island - Golden Gate Bridge Tour - Market Street shopping - PIers / Warf - SS Jerimiah OBrian - Cable Cars - China Town - Golden Gat Park Seagway Tour (AMAZING) Watch out for the homless people, keep moving don't stand still in the street.
I've been traveling to San Francisco for the last 50 years it never gets old, I will continue to enjoy all it has to offer.
Ask taxi driver to tour you around and to visit different property area (remember to visit Hillsborough for comparision!)
Taxi drivers are nice, though I heard that San Francisco has the most expansive taxi fare, even higher than New York City, so try to use other transportation as much as possible.
Stayed on Market St. near the Civic Center. Bad smell (due to urine) and dirty streets. Walk at your own risk.
Need to stay more than 3 day for discover the places in San Francisco. The people was nice and helpful.
I want to stay here with my family ! Great city with lots to do as a couple or a family. Close to nature, exciting city and friendly to new ideas
Premier city to visit - great opportunities for interesting cuisine, good nightlife, unique neighborhoods.
I love San Francisco! There's so much to do and see (Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, Union Square, Fisherman's Warf, Alcatraz, Pershing Square, Chinatown, Palace of Fine Arts, etc.
The best places to visit are Japantown, Chinatown, Nob Hill, Financial District, AT&T Park. Make sure to see the jewel of the city, Queen Anne Hotel.
It's a beautiful city with a colourful history that can be seen while visiting the many attractions it has to offer.
Go to fisherman's market and have some clam chowder at stand. You do not necessarily have to get in restaurants.
Please go beyond 2 nights. 3-5 nights is the minimum for you to enjoy San Francisco. The must visit places are Alcatraz, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf (they said it's the 2nd most visited places after Disneyland), Golden Gate Bridge, and Union Square (for shopping paradise).
Downtown, near Aida hotel is so bloody filthy and dirty and the smell is terrible, there seem to be more, and more homeless hanging around that area, it's unbelievable.
Get out the city everything you need to see is outer sub areas witch are much nicer it's easy to just get in the car go for a drive out to find cheap parking everywhere.
The Chinatown within San Francisco is one of the oldest Chinese enclaves in the world. You can find eateries that offer surprisingly good quality cuisine at reasonable prices there.
Nice city, great public transport, major tourist attractions are accessible by public transport. Good idea to purchase city pass to have unlimited travel on public transport.
Loved the city. nice laidback feel with rolling streets. everything is convenient and close by to the city centre.
SF is good, especially all the Piers. City cleanliness is not what i expected though (being a city of a well developed nation).
San Francisco is a filthy city that is saturated with the homeless on nearly every street. Its buildings are decadent although some may find that appealing because it has "character.
San Francisco is a food paradise, you may want to visit Fisherman's wharf to eat seafood, its fresh and price is reasonable, but expect to queue before eating.
San Francisco is a diversified city, with fine weather and beautiful scenary. People are friendly. Public transport is convenient.
Nice place. Well worth a visit. Much more relaxed than New York. Has its problems,ie, its homeless population and we found a lot of the streets to be littered and run down.
Walking around is so easy in San Francisco. Get a bus pass and hop on and off at your leisure. Most beautiful city in the USA in my opinion.
SAN FRANCISCO IS RELATIVELY SMALL. BUT ITS QUITE A DISTINCT CITY, WITH ITS CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE SEA AND ITS HISTORY.
Great places to see and lots to do. Make sure you hire bikes and ride from fisherman's wharf over the Golden Gate Bridge the get the ferry back great day
THE DIFFERENT HOMES IN THE LOCATION IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE CITY. VICTORIAN, THE BEACH HOUSES, EVERYTHING WAS UNIQUE,
San Francisco (CA)'s best hotels with breakfast

Usually stay at another hotel in San Francisco downtown, but they are charging very high rate during the period I would like to stay. So decided to try out Intercontinental, I think I will stay here again in the future because the location is really great, it was an easy access to all shops and restaurants in downtown, it is also next to a park and the convention cent...

I stayed here for a night at the end of a trip. So glad I picked it. Hotel shuttle from the airport was easy and had fast check in. Room was far more spacious than I was expecting. Bathroom was tiny but not spending hours in there so doesn’t matter. The bath was lovely though. The staff were very friendly and polite. The menu at the restaurant was varied and all looke...

My adult daughter and I stayed at Club Quarters on a Saturday night, I was surprised to get such an amazing deal on the room, especially after reading so many positive reviews. I haven't had many good experiences with hotel rooms in San Francisco in the past, but CQ, was absolutely perfect. I truly can't think of anything negative to say. When I arrived, check-in took ...

Spent 3 nights in the hotel on a business trip. Hotel facilities were well done post renovation. Room has contemporary feel. Easy access to the airport by shuttle or rental car. Not much to do around hotel so need a car to make a stay productive. $30 overnight parking fee is stiff but is approximately comparable to other hotels in the area. Surrounding area of Burling...

had a layover in San Francisco hence was choosing for a hotel that is near the airport and decent. knew that best western is pretty decent and famous in the states hence gave it a try. and most of all there is free wifi around the inn which not most hotel would provide around the area. we had a room each with a queen size bed. the stay was comfortable, room was clean a...

Th e Coyote Point Best Western was a great addition to our itinerary. The hotel was reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful in booking us another night when our vacation plans fell apart on us on one leg of our trip. They also had a wonderful breakfast. We found them to be very convenient to the airport and downtown San Francisco.

Good location, close to airport. Breakfast is very nice with plenty of choices. Hotel service is also good, front desk is friendly and helpful with smiles. Sized and clean hotel room. This hotel is definitely a choice for my next trip to San Francisco, especially when taking very early flights.

No hotel in San Francisco is cheap. Especially one so close to tourist areas like this one is. They will all try to nickel and dime you, charging US$5 for a bottle of water, and this place is no exception. So I certainly can’t say that this place was a good value... especially after paying almost US$70 to park overnight. Besides the typical San Francisco exorbitance...

The Double Tree at SFO is a nice place to spend a long layover. With easy access via the airport shuttle, it's very easy to get to and from the airport. This means you can easily take the BART into San Francisco from the airport and get back to the hotel with easy. The rooms a spacious and comfortable, especially the bed. Would definitely stay here again if I have ...

we drove all the way from monterey bay and are very pleased with the room in holiday inn. the front desk manager is very friendly and helpful and he happily told us that he has worked there for ten over years, which i guess, happy staff equates to happy services and we did enjoy their service there. the best part of the hotel is their breakfast which has a great varie...

first time in san francisco, and this was a great hotel to stay at. staff was very friendly, helpful and they go out of their way for their guests great location in nob hill, near all the great locations in san francisco. a lot of attractions are walking distance or you can take the cable car to all these place great room views, clean hotel, classic building

We would definitely select the Comfort Inn and Suites at San Francisco Airport North on our next trip to California. We were very pleased with the helpful staff, pleasant surroundings and nice restaurant selection nearby. The free airport shuttle was very punctual, convenient and helpful.

We chose this motel to stay away from down town, because it's more expensive there plus if you park your car outdoor you will most likely to get your windows broke into. Now to the motel itself, it has basically all the amenities like others, the only thing I can complain about is that the ventilating fan inside the bathroom was broken. Breakfast was provided though i...

We stayed for one night before a long-haul flight. Check-in was quick and efficient. The room was spacious, and if there was a little scuffing on some surfaces, it didn't detract from the overall comfort of the room. Our room was quite quiet despite the proximity to the airport. Unfortunately, our view was unattractive (mainly over a drainage ditch and a roof), but a...

I have stayed at embassy suites sfo waterfront hotel many times in the last 10 years. This was my favorite place to stay until 3 years ago, when i asked front desk staff why my room was so hot no matter how cool i set the thermostat in my room. I was told that the airconditioning system did not work well and there were no plans to fix it. I stayed at embassy suites aga...
