Petercat Hotel Sinchon (Hongdae)
Sinchon,Seoul - View on map
"Stayed at the Goodstay Montblanc Motel for 4 nights, the overall experience was quite pleasant and comfortable. I booked a Moderate Art room, which is normally for 2 persons, so it is big enough for a solo traveler. The staff is nice and easy to communicate with. Especially if you speak English and Mandarin. It is just a few minutes walk from Sinchon Station. And once you get into the subway, you can go most places in Seoul. However, if your main goal is to shopping, it might be tired to catch a train and walk back with bags. I didn't tried its breakfast, but there are a few good places to eat around that area. Plus, many "food carts" will show up at night. "

Bobo Hotel Hongdae
Hongdae,Seoul - View on map
"Modern hotel in great location for Hongdae activities. This is my fave hotel for weekend trips to Seoul to get a fix of live music (e.g., Club FF) and techno (Vurt). Plus, walking distance to great bars (Woodstack) and "ethnic" food (Gusto). The minimal-crisp decor (marble floor, platform cush bed) and fabulous restroom (marble/glass with best "rain" shower) are such a wonderful relief from the hectic Hongdae area to restore for hitting the town/nightlife. Quite, super clean/spotless, friendly staff. So worth it!"

Hotel Irene City
Myeong-dong,Seoul - View on map
"loated near to the city hall subway station where city hall station just one station away from seoul station (seoul station is a main station where all the metro meet, ktx, metro to air port, korail...) less than 10 min walk to the hotel. lotte duty free shop, lotte world by metro only 30 min. most famous shopping paradise, myeong dong just within walking distance, can reach by walk underground. isadong(korean traditional market) also just few station away from city hall station. some sightseeing attraction just located beside the city hall. the only things to be concerned is irene city hotel entrance lacated at the back of the street, it is quite unsafe to back too late. some compliment, the hotel try to upgrade our room from standard to triple room foc. although we did not take it, but we appreciate such arrangement."

GRID INN
Jongro,Seoul - View on map
"The Grid Inn is in a cool part of the city tucked away within a myriad of interesting laneways behind a busy thoroughfare and importantly for many, a 5mins walk from the subway. The staff are excellent, mostly 20something women who had lived/studied abroad and spoke great English; know where some good places for food and shopping are and if the weather is really bad, would even order in amazing Korean fried chicken for you! Rooms are small - typical of Korea and Japan - but very clean with up-to-date fixtures/amenities and finishes. Breakfast was interesting... you could have eggs anyway you want as long as they were fried! And for a coffee-obsessed city, it was disappointing they only offered percolated drip coffee despite an espresso machine being in the dining area. Apart from this quirk, the front of house staff really do make this one of the best places to stay in fabulous Seoul. "

Hotel Rian

"Great hotel to stay in Seoul. The location is ideal - it is central and well connected to airport bus, regular Seoul bus and subway station. The room was big and comfortable, it felt like home! Despite the winter cold, I had a quick walk to the rooftop garden that offers great views, including Namsan Tower, and it must be the perfect place to hangout in summer time. I will definitely stay again on my next visit to Korea."

K Pop Hotel Seoul Station
Myeong-dong,Seoul - View on map
"had a night stay at this hotel before i depart for busan the next day after arriving in seoul at night. it's station at a very convenient location, just 5 mins walk from seoul station which is the main station for most subway line interception and ktx. some walking invovled as the hotel is located on a hill so there's a little slope and you have to carry the luggage up/down stairs as there's no escalator. as my flight was delayed thus i didnt manage to took the last train to seoul station, and had to alight at DMC station before i flag a cab to this hotel. not sure if the location is really hard to find or the taxt driver dont really know the way cos end up we spend almost 15 mins ard the neighbourhood trying to find this hotel. best way to get to this hotel is take subway line 1 to seoul station. as i only stay a night at this hotel thus the room is alright for me but for those who wish to stay for more than a week might have to rethink as the room is really small, there's only 2 single bed in my rm yet there's no space for me to open my 28inch luggage fully. only cn open my luggage to 3/4 on the space outside toilet. the only problem for me is the small room, other than that everything else is good. very clean toilet and room, friendly staff, one of them cn even speak chinese another can speak english.
