relaxing holiday”
i arrived early hours of the morning and thought i was in the middle of no were but when i woke the hotel is on near the beach but separated by a train track but once you cross that there is the hotel beach bar and that is great.only trouble is endless bother off hawkers trying to sell you stuff so i stayed round pool which is very nice.The staff are very friendly and will help you in anyway.

Overall Mount Breeze Hotel is "just fine"”
Overall this hotel is pretty good. No major complaints. The closeness of the beach is great, but the closeness of the train track isn't so great. The pool is nice. The rooms are adequate. In summary, this hotel is perfectly fine for what you pay.

Over all our rooms were not that much satisfactory. But the staff were very good and helpful. ”
As it is a two star hotel, when we went also we didn't head much expectations, the location was very beautiful, very near to the beach. All the attractive locations in colombo was near. so we didn't had to spend our much of our time in a car or a tuk-tuk. ROOM-compare to 2 star hotel, the room was satisfactory. I remember seen coffee also included in the room amenities, but i had to ask for that also. Thought on the second day they will arrange it, but they din't remember and we had to ask again. When we asked they brought jus a small amount of coffee, for may be just one person in saucer. There was a red colour paint on the floor. if we don't ware slippers in the room then we have the red colour in our leg. We had a tv. but there were few channels which were able to see clearly. We can say just few options. STAFF-staff were friendly. they helped us in so many ways. We will give the staff members just 100 out of 100.. thumbs up to you guys.

Great location, eventhough you have to cross and step over the railways tracks to get to the beach and to their beach restaurant. Trains frequency can be high in the morning but good sleepers won't notice. Kind of funny anyway to look at the full to bursting trains. No lift and 3 floors. Room 301 the best, then 201. Avoid blind rooms 106,206,306. Breakfast 950/975 Rs (6,00€). too expensive for what you get. Indoor restaurant is not appealling neither the staff. Food at beach restaurant is rather good, staff is excellent, friendly, smiling and helpful. Front Desk clerks are also friendly, smiling and helpful. Had a slight health problem and I requested a doctor address. In less than five minutes, Front Desk called me back in my room, managed to drive me in their own tuk-tuk to the doctor and back. Awesome. Free sun beds and towels for guests at the beach. By the way, the Mount Lavinia beach area near the hotel is clean, nice and quiet and taken care of by the staff at Mont Breeze and by the staff of right next door restaurant La Voile Blanche as well. We do recommend La Voile Blanche beach restaurant: white design, nicely dressed friendly staff, good cocktails and good food on the expensive side for S.L (green curry prawns: 2000 Rs. (12€), we liked it but double-check the tab anyway. Sea was warm and clean. Stay away from the brown-sugar addicted bunch of locals who pollute the beach from time to time, don't accept their coconut water nor aloe vera massage. Tourist police is around but unable to keep them away. Very few beach vendors, unlike those annoying in Thailand beaches. Otherwise, at dusk, when it's cooler, many (young) sri-lankans gather to the beach to enjoy the beach and swimming. Rooms are not "Ritzy" yet fine with (working) air-co, tv, mini-fridge, closet, kettle and tea bags, basic bathroom. Room-service available.
