A classic 90’s in Pokhara feel ”
Hotel is decent. The room was clean however the furnishings made it feel a bit old. The bed was comfy and the layout of the hotel is spacious. It’s very 90’s. The pool is fantastic and staff are lovely as well. All in all, a nice place to stay!
Dear Ms. Sarah, Namaste From Mt. kailash Resort!! Thank you for your email with your view regarding our property. Its a resort where people can feel the warmness. We are glad to receive your email. Thanking you Sabita Maharjan Sales & Marketing Manger
Great value for money ”
Stayed at numerous hotels in Pokhara, and this was by far the best, and great value for money. Modern rooms with large bathrooms, some rooms with balcony overlooking pool. Clean, modern and roomy rooms.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your genuine reviews. We deeply value your patronage and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future too. Your feedback is indeed our motivation, since quality & service are our motto. Once again, thank you for staying with us.
Dated But ”
Facilities are a bit dated but the resort itself is quite nice overall. Rooms are spacious and the location is great - seconds from the lake and minutes from the main street in Pokhara. Service is impeccable and staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet is average but a nice addition nonetheless. All in all, great value for the money
No Mountain view”
Great Hospitatily from Staff. Very helpful. Do not stay there if you are expecting unobstructed mountain view. My mountain view room was facing a under construction swimming pool. Apparently the mountain is to the right side & left side of the balcony. There is no mountain view facing the balcony. Blame the construction of the hotel. That's my disappointment. Bfast was not exceptional. Take the room without bfast option is ideal as there are fantastic restaurants that serve great Bfast just outside of the hotel. A good location if you want to travel up to Sarankot
Pokhara is beautiful !”
The hotel is located very near to shopping and restaurants. Staff are helpful. Room is clean and we had fruits in the room on arrival. Restaurant serve a mix of cuisine and we even had something prepared for us that was not in the menu.
Comfortable and clean room with excellent service”
We were very satisfied with the stay at Mount Kailash. First, we were assigned to hugh apartment room with very good himalaya view and very comfortable. Second, the staff performance was excellent and they were very friendly, and always smiling. Third, they provide free pick up and drop off service. Lastly, they are centrally located and closed to many good restaurants.
Relaxing and comfortable”
The staff were friendly and helpful. The views of the mountains were spectacular (although it would depend on your room choice). The rooms were modern and clean with running hot water (ideal for after a day or more of trekking). Although close to Lakeside-10 minute walk-it is also far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Free shuttle to and from airport and reception changes money at better rates than the local exchanges!
Excellent stay at Mt. Kailash Resort”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mt. Kailash Resort. We had a suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a all equipped kitchen, although we did not use the kitchen. staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was very good.
Centrally located, functional, clean and quite a good breakfast by local standards”
Located very conveniently off the main street, this hotel is clean, relatively affordable and provides all the standard accouterments expected for rural nepal
Dear Aidan, We appreciate the valuable feedback that you have provided the hotel. we pride ourselves on the service we deliver and I am pleased to learn that your experience reflects the high standards that we strive to achieve. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Pokhara,Nepal. Your Sincerely Tek Bahadur Gurung Operation Manager Mount Kailash Resort
Very nice and excellent
We will stay again in this resort”
1. Rooms are very clean and spacious. 2. All the hotel personnel are very helpful and welcoming. 3. Location is amazing. It is in the starting end of the lakeside road, that gives you easy accessibility. At the same time, it's quiet and calm as well. You get all sort of transport in the door step even boats. 4. Buffet breakfast has good spread of food, but could be a little better. All in all, we loved this resort and would love to stay their again. Cheers!
Pool under renovation but that wasn't on the website”
The single most disappointing thing about this hotel was that the AGODA website promised a pool, but when we got there it was being rebuilt - this was the main reason for picking this particular property and it was extremely disappointing that they were not more transparent about it, especially since the renovation was a good 6 month project.
A place to relax after trekking ”
It was a very nice hotel, near to the Green Line bus depot, which was handy as I had travelled from Kathmandu. Very close to the town and restaurants. Nice swimming pool and towels were provided. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Mount Kailash Resort situated just opposite to the famous fewa lake and is also very close to the other tourist attractions like Tal Barahi Temple (located on the island in the middle of Phewa Lake), Bindhyabasini Temple, Gupteswor Mahadev Temple/Cave, Davis Falls etc.. It is also very close to different outdoor activities spot like paragliding, Zip Lining, Bungee Jumping and Rafting / Kayaking. This hotel offer Truly good value for money. The staff were excellent. They went out of their way to help. Pros: Great Stuff, Convenient location, Clean Rooms, Breakfast is good and the menu is OK, Provide Transportation to and from Airport, Nice Pool and well-manicured garden, good value for money. Cons: Air condition is not sufficient as per room size, WiFi connection is very poor, No Lift, most of the time they don’t provide Money Exchange facility, Pool is closed within 7 PM so night time relaxing and swimming is not possible
Pleasant stay before and after trekking”
A really pleasant hotel in peaceful and quiet grounds. Ideal walking distance to the tourist area and a perfect place to stay before and after a trekking expedition when you want something a bit more up market and comfortable to unwind, rather than a budget hotel.
Great breakfast, clean rooms and good service”
I stayed with my parents in two rooms in Mount Kailash for two days. Based on my request, the hotel staff gave me two adjoining rooms with a door in between which was very convenient for us. The breakfast every morning was great and really value for money since it was included with the rooms. The choice was more than adequate and everything on the menu were tasty. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The outdoor pool, lawn and garden with a fountain and hammock was very scenic. The whole property is very clean and well maintained. The only things that need improvement is the spotty internet (free wi-fi) and hot water in the bathrooms. It was very difficult to shower as the hot water on the tubs was very inconsistent and lacked proper flow.
A fantastic hotel !!!”
Our experience at the hotel was fantastic. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely. All the staff were extremely helpful especially Milan on reception. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and great value for money!!!
Quiet location, comfortable hotel”
Enjoyed our stay here. A quiet spot in a busy town. Opposite lake and an easy walk to restaurants in both directions. We were impressed with how quiet the hotel is at the back, (has narrow frontage but goes quite a way back off the road). Gets a little busy at times with bus tours, but overall service standards are OK. Breakfasts could improve a little..... Real coffee would help. A common problem with hotels in India -Nescafe instant is not coffee to a coffee drinker. However, the Chai was an excellent substitute
Mount kailash sept 2014”
I really enjoyed it here. Very nice hotel. Spacious room. Well located. Great food. Can't fault the hotel really. This isn't the cheapest hotel in pokhara by any means but if you like a high standard this is for you.
it was overall a pleasant stay”
We enjoyed the time because the hotel is located in an area which is very close to the phewa lake, shopping area n some good restaurants. Transport is also available from this location. They have a nice garden, good looking exterior n interior and spacious rooms. It's worth staying at this hotel.
