I loved the history of the hotel and the ambiance that this created. I especially liked the training opportunities there for disabled staff members. All the staff were wonderful. It was a truly enjoyable experience.

Old World Accommodation”
The hotel occupies a Manor House built in the 1870s. The hotel is charming, a full breakfast is included, the restaurant is very good and the staff are excellent. The location is good if you are going to the gardens in Mt Wilson, or to the Jenolan Caves. We found it a little on the cool side, this being the only negative. There are no TVs in the rooms but these days, with internet, that’s not a problem.

Beautiful hotel”
This is such a pleasant and beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and a great restaurant. The food was so good that we dined here both nights and had breakfast both mornings. Really enjoyed having an aperitif on the verandah in late afternoon. Children also loved the large park and playground across the road.

Lovely staff, nice rooms and that's about it. Breakfast order came 1.hour later. No options of meals, only one plate of eggs toast, bacon fried veggies, coffee from the Nespresso machine. Water pressure in the shower non existent. Heater in the room very small. No shelves or vanity in the bathroom to put your toileteries . Management needs to put in thoughts into this place. Common area rooms are very cold not much heating.

Dear Elena Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I'm glad that our staff were friendly during your stay and the room was nice. The room you stayed in has only recently been refurbished and has new carpet and furnishings and new bathroom. I have noted your comments about the water pressure and lack of shelves in the bathroom and we will ask our maintenance person to fix this. All rooms in our hotel have individual electric heaters and electric blankets on the beds. In our communal spaces we have radiators and three fireplaces which we use in the evenings. We also have additional portable heaters which are available on request. A hot cooked breakfast is always included with each booking and is served between 7:30am and 9:30am, I apologise there was a delay and will follow this up with our kitchen team. Beautiful hotel with great communal library and sitting areas. Only downfall was that the restaurant and bar is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We were very happy with the room and the place was very quaint. The dinner was a little overpriced and they ran out of a lot of the meals over the evening, but the meals we did have were quite nice. The breakfast was very filling and there was a surprising amount to choose from on the continental buffet though only one hot dish available, this was understandable as it is a small place. Overall we were very happy and would definitely stay there again.

Close to railway station, efficient checkin, reasonable sized room, comfortable bed, clean surroundings. Nice breakfast. Interesting building. Some renovation ongoing did not affect our enjoyment. Staff were polite and helpful.

A great mountain retreat”
I wanted a night away from Sydney ...and was very happy with this stylish and charming place, very well run by friendly hosts. Rooms are being renovated; mine hadn't been done yet, and needs a desk and an improved bathroom, but it was fine. Terrific setting; colonial charm; a very good dinner in the resto and a substantial breakfast. Im so glad I tried this place and I'll be back.
