One of my best experiences in Japan”
I wasn't able to try their food but the japanese style room was fantastic, it made me feel like staying in a traditional Japanese house especially with the yukata kimono that they provide for each guest. The other best thing was the onsen or the public bath. It is very clean every time that I tried it (4 times overall in two and a half days stay), and it's always open except 10-10:30am, means you can go to onsen in the middle of the night and enjoy the hot water in the cold weather when everyone else is sleeping. The service of the ryokan was very on point as well, they provided us with anything we needed such as room service, towels, umbrella, direction to places in hakone or nearby restaurants and etc. Very highly recommend this place.

Relaxing stay”
I had such a relaxing stay. The dinner and breakfast were both delicious! My favorite was the onsen. Definitely next time I will book the private onsen.

Great Stay”
Wife and I wanted to stay at a Ryokan at least once and it was great! The dinner and breakfast were pretty good as well. If you have big tattoos and wear the yukata, you'll probably have to wear a long sleeve under it to cover it up. The onsen was great! We got into Hakone a couple hours earlier than we thought, so we dropped our bags off and reserved the Kaguya onsen for ourselves since I have tattoos and it was perfect. The only things I wish it had was a clock or something outside near the onsen itself so we could keep watch of our time in the tub instead of getting out to see the one in the changing room.

good for solo traveler”
I didn't expect that the room was big but actually it was. Fast wifi and good onsen, too. if you want to enjoy simple travel here I definitely recommend you'd come to stay.

This place is a really a nice place to stay in Hakone. We're travelling with local bus line and it was an easy access. An unforgettable private outdoor onsen experience compliment with excellent authentic dinner and breakfast set in a spacious restaurant. Wonderfull and warm hosts/staffs whose very helpful. Our Hakone experience is perfect with this hotel, and would love to come back if we had the chance for our next trip to Japan.

Exceptional”
Staff were so helpful, assisted with how to wear the yukata, onsen instructions, museum information and help with the busses. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful and the onsen was so pretty and relaxing. Bus stop is just outside the hotel and I took it to Lake Ashi and Odawara with no problems (usually I find Japanese busses tricky to use). I will definitely stay here again!

Excellent Ryokan ”
Great hotel with traditional rooms, choice of private or public onsen and a shabu shabu dinner option. Friendly staff and enjoyable stay for us even when snow did not permit us to visit the lakes

Great Japanese experience ”
Wonderful experience in a traditional Japanese room with Tatami mats. The room had a toilet and small basin but to have a shower/wash you had to go to the lower floor where the onsen were and use the shared facilities which wasn’t ideal if you wanted a quick shower. The Onsens were great with nice covered outside baths too. Private onsens were available to reserve at extra charge which was definitely worth it. A very relaxing experience. Easy to get the bus around the local area to Togendai or Gora to catch the Ropeway or pirate ship across lake Ashi. The Japanese style dinner and breakfast were delicious and so much food! The staff were always very friendly and happy to help. Would definitely recommend.

It took quite a long time to reach the hotel from the Goro station, but the hotel was serene and beautiful.

Very nice for the given price range”
Facilities are clean, stuff is helpful. The rental onsen is very nice - fully recommend to use it if you visit this hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bedding very comfortable. One thing I was not too happy about it - breakfast is quite poor if you ask for vegetarian option. However - it is available - what is a big plus, given that many traditional ryokans have simply declined to prepare no-meat/fish breakfast. *They have policy of credit card payment available over JPY 5,000

Excellent”
Food was definitely not worth it. It was visually appealing, but tasted terrible. The breakfast was better, but I would just rather not eat there. The location is a bit isolated from the main area, but it's close to the bus stop and le petit prince museum. The onsen was amazing, I would come here again just for that!

Decent for the money.”
I'm glad we tried a ryokan once, but the futons were extremely hard and difficult to sleep in. Also had to bring our own coffee pot. Public onsens had a nice ambiance. The kaiseki breakfast and dinner were also excellent.
