Fabulous place ! ”
This hotel goes above and beyond in service & friendliness. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful hotel that will make you feel like a princess!
Old and worn out furnishings rugs etc
The reception staff were rude and aggressive, the hotel does not respect the vouchers of Agoda, the rooms are old and in bad condition, the only thing that meet the expectation was the dining room personal
Beautiful place, stunning location and views, staff needs seriously to be trained in service”
Staff at the fine breakfast were helpful but the front desk, the business manager, the booking manager were curt when not rude, unresponsive. The food one could order in the lobby was very good, the service was terrible-- same issue. And this has been written up about this hotel in published, hard copy reviews-- so this problem is nothing new and they do nothing about it.
No improvement from five years ago”
We stayed at the Mount Zion five years ago and it was tired then. The architecture, design and location are great but everything else about the hotel needs updating, the fabric and furnishings and facilities. The staff were mostly young and inexperienced or elderly and tired (lazy). They were disinterested and certainly not on their toes, even when a party of six people got stuck in a lift. The plastic keys to our room did not work so we were given a metal key, for which they took a deposit. The shaver plug did not work and the front fell off the safe. No attempt was made to remedy these during our seven night stay. There was a hole in the duvet cover which was changed the following day. Plenty of dust. The gardens and swimming pool area were redeeming features as were the terraces overlooking the old city. Such potential wasted.
No concerns, great hotel”
Historic hotel at great value”
A fantastic experience, full of things to see and do, will certainly visit again.
a great stay in an intimate atmosphere”
This is a gem of a boutique hotel. Uniquely furnished with a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The rooms were of a good standard, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremely warm and helpful. There is always a downside to any hotel and I would say that if you are unable to walk far, ask for a room close to the elevators and the far rooms are a long walk away. Also this is a hotel built on the side of a valley so the floors go down. Ask for floors 3,4, or 5 in order to make the most of a spectacular view of the old city of Jerusalem.
good location good hotel needs renovation”
I liked the hotel but I think it needs some uplifting
Historic hotel, with relaxed style”
from the moment we arrived we knew we were in jerusalem, the stylish decorations and references to historic events in and around this hotel made the visit more of an experience than if we stayed at a newer "modern" hotel. after having traveled and stayed extensively all over israel and other parts of the world, this is my new favourite.
beautiful old Ottoman style building”
Great location for touring the Old City with views from the lounge and terraces. The cheapest rooms are in need of a redec.
Location and atmosphere”
well run hotel with friendly and efficient personel. place with a lot of history, evidence of it still present. great terrace for breakfast.and more then reasonable price only negative: in 15 days of travelling in israel this was the only hotel charging for internet connection,i think in our times it should be free
