Mountain Reef Beach Resort

We had the family beach-front bungalow. It is right at the shoreline with beautiful snorkeling 15 m from your doorstep. The bungalow is spacious and nicely decorated, clean and with comfy beds, fan and mosquito nets. The bathroom is boutique style with outcropping rocks integrated. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Tanote beach is peaceful and beautiful, away from the crowds, yet with a handful of restaurants it has all one needs.

My husband and I travelled with our five kids for school break. The stay was wonderful. The staff worked very hard to make us comfortable, and the meals they made were delicious! Beer an employee gave us tips on hikes and snorkeling which made our stay so much better! We will come here again. The bay was full of fish and the beach was beautiful.

This place is so peaceful and beautiful. We had the family beach bungalow and it is amazing! It is right on the beach and the view is incredible. The owners are so nice and the food is delicious. We would love to come back!

The restaurant does not look anymore like in the pictures. I personally like it more like it used to look (with cushions on the ground, Thai chill out style) but the restaurant also has tables in the sand, which we really liked. It would be great to get mosquito spirals at the tables.

The room was beautiful, even better than on the photos. The host was amazing, so helpful and kind. Food was huge and very good, from breakfast to dinner. We had a wonderful view from the room and would definitely recommand this place. The best of tanote bay.

The owner of the hotel is a very friendly and cute person. She and her staff cook very well (we found the food there to be one of the best when it comes to taste and cleanliness). They were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom are very big, and were clean to our satisfaction. The facilities are as described, the AC worked perfectly. The bigger rooms we had booked have big french doors so no mosquito nets, but that was not a problem. The room has a big spacious veranda to chill on. Lights were out around 11pm at the resort, which was great for us. We could sleep sound in peace. Location is great, this is a place more for people who want the quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Not a party vibe. There is a great massage hut right next to the resort which I can recommend.

Make sure to ask for a taxi to pick you up when you arrive at the port, there is no other way to get to the resort ( walking difficult BC of mountains and scooter seems dangerous given that some of the roads are very steep). Also buy the mosquito spray they sell at the resort or bring coils- the stuff we brought with us did no good.

Fabulous location for beach and snorkelling, Fabulous friendly Staff . Restaurant very good food and service, breakfast basic.

The sand on the beach was very gritty and sharp not easy to walk across without decent beach shoes. 3% was added to our debit card ( not credit card. )on our hotel bill we were not aware of apparently it’s a charge from Bangkok Bank ?

Staff was unbelievably kind and generous. We had a problem with our ferry ticket and somebody took a scooter over to the terminal to fix it. it was our daughter’s birthday and they whipped up a (pan)cake! I know it’s a cliche, but so friendly. And the view! Beautiful bay, stunning sunrise, and great snorkeling in a protected cove. Food was very good as well. Room was excellent, spacious, clean. Would 100% recommend. we joked that we’d give them ten stars out of five. Unless you really want the hustle and bustle of the main port, this place is amazing.

I mean, nothing? if you aren’t familiar with Koh Toh, there are windy roads and steep hills, so not the place to learn how to ride a scooter.
