The owners were very nice, the cabin is clean, decent kitchen utensils to cook your food and griller is also available. Lighting up the fireplace helps with the cold weather, wax,match and woods were provided by one of the owner :)

Good to have plates and cutlery and microwave in the room. Receptionist was very nice, he offered milk for tea and coffee too. If wifi work better would have been perfect.

Worth it”
Room was spacious, and bed was comfortable. Only thing is that you will need to go to the lounge room to access the free wifi, otherwise there is no internet, not even 4G.

2 Night Stay”
Spent 2 night here. The reception lady - Cheryl provided good information for meals and attractions to visit although some of her information was incorrect. Saw wild kangaroo, emu and rabbits at the premises. Rooms and toilets were clean. There was even a washing machine and foldable drying rack provided in the lodge we booked.

Good clean room but zero phone reception or wifi ”
Agoda booking site indicated I’d selected & booked a cabin however after receipt was issued as confirmation of payment my booking transitioned into a motel room! Also it should be clear before booking there’s no wifi reception at all, (it’s not as advertised, ‘free wifi).

Comfortable stay but even with the log fire the lodge was cold, particularly in the morning. Electric blankets helped. Lovely visit from an emu whilst enjoying our breakfast though!

Upgraded lodge”
We stayed in the lodge right behind the main building which was quiet and peaceful. Our unit is kind of updated - dual air conditioner replaces the fireplace (sealed up). New sofa is comfortable. However the kitchen needs a good wipe down and bath area is old and not as pleasant which we end up not using the spa bath. there are beautiful wild birds and Roos right next to property and it’s amazing.

Great location, but accommodation could have been better”
Great location, very quiet, Lodge was a great space, was dissapointed in the lack of detail in regard to dead flies on window seals. BBQ was extremely dirty also the information in regard to late check out was out dated and when asking at the counter it seemed like it was all too much. But restocking of fire wood daily was great and the option of the other heater worked well, linen and towels all clean and fresh. No kids play ground even though it was pictured.

Too many little disappointments”
We stayed here during the September holidays and I wish I could give it a 5-star review but I cant. The TV and DVD player had only a single power point with no adapter. We asked for one but with little help, ended up using the one from the bedroom, meaning we had no night lamps by our bed. There were so few power points overall that it was impossible to use one without needing to unplug something else first, leaving you to decide which was more important. The oven was dirty, the tray still holding a decent amount of fat from the previous occupant. The road, which literally sat about 20 meters from our front door, is 100km/h and the traffic was relentless. Only enough wood for about 3 hours is provided and the tiny gas heater looked ancient with no service tags, which meant we couldn't leave it on. Phone service is practically non-existent and the Wi-fi that's provided is completely useless. There's only free to air channels on TV so take board games or cards to keep entertained.

Excellent accomodation”
Mountain View Motor Inn was a fantastic accomodation. We stayed two nights there. The amenities in the lodge was great. The location was also excellent. Tom was really friendly and took it upon himself for us to have a great an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

Awesome aussie experience with wildlife and BBQ”
Tummy and his wife made this stay an unforgettable Aussie experience, we decided to have 2 BBQ's at the lodge BBQ areas which are perfectly integrated into the surroundings! Tummy and his wife provided everything needed from oil to torchlights to a new gas bottle. BBQ is a must do when you are there! The rooms are more then spacious and perfectly integrated in the area, it is not at the main street, which is definitely a plus, 2 min by car away and absolutely quiet! Just perfect! Kangaroos in the morning at the back lawn is just.....without words! In our opinion there is no other choice in Halls Gap then this Lodge, the ultimate experience!!!!!

Ideal location and friendly service”
The hosts were very friendly and helpful with information. The lodge had everything we needed for a longer stay. Grounds were well-maintained and emphasised the natural setting and close proximity to the Grampians.

Friendly owners and a great self-contained cottage”
The cottage was the perfect base for us to explore the Halls Gap area. The owners were helpful and happily brought us provisions for a fire each day, despite it being in-between season. Tubby even grabbed our laundry off the line when an unexpected storm blew up! The property was a little out of the town centre, but offered space, loads of birdlife, kangaroos on the lawn and self-sufficiency. The kitchen was small but adequate and although we didn't use one, the bbq packs looked like good value. The living space was large for this type of accommodation and the spa was great for relaxing in after a day of hiking. We look forward to a return visit.

Great value for a short trip to the Grampians”
Very friendly staff who are able to point you to interesting sights. Large surroundings. Comfortably sized family room for a group of friends. Could meet wildlife at your doorstep. BBQ dinner and breakfast packages provided on order; don't have to settle for the usual fare at Halls Gap. Gold coin donation for DVDs. Would be great in mild weather. Part of Golden Chain.
