Request For Rest Granted: Asara Highly Recommended”
We have stayed in some of the best hotels across the region and can vouch this will be ranked right among the top three. The Resort: very well layout. The resort is specious, the pool villa we were staying was very luxurious for kids it was the villa pool which was the highlight for me it was taking shower under the stars in the open shower area specially on a starry night it was worth all the money. This resort is right on the beach so jump out of the villa you are on the pool and jump out of the pool you are on the beach. The big (king size) swing by the beach was our favorite haunt specially during the sunrise and for star gazing by the night and to enjoy the cool breeze through out the day. The sky in Hua Hin are very clear so lay on the swing and enjoy the star gazing - wort all the money. Tip: if you cannot stay in the pool villa then you are better of staying somewhere else as its bit secluded at the back of the villa. Food: Limited to two restaurants and the beach bar all with limited menu but what is offered is wort trying everything as it was very good. The breakfast, the high tea are on the house and the place has two happy hours. Their are no eating places around the resort so the only way to eat out is at the night market. Location: Hua Hin is not a place you visit for sight seeing it is meant for relaxation so we were at the beach or in the villa all the time except for stepping out on two nights to visit the night market via hotel shuttle bug. The Night Market: not for shopping it is purely for food and sea food which is not only fresh but very reasonable not more then USD50 for four of us in the family eating to heart content.(if you take lobsters the that itself will cost you USD50 everything else is cheap). Final Call: if you want t just relax and do nothing then Hua Hin is the place and in Hua Hin Asara is highly recommended. One Final Tip: Hua Hin to BBK taxi will cost you 2000 THB which you can b
Wonderful Stay at Asara”
If you are looking for a lovely get away that is not too remote, Asara is the place for you. Only a few minute drive from downtown Hua Hin, Asara is a secluded beachfront resort with large rooms, great amenities, beautiful grounds, and lovely staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 night stay and have absolutely no complaints. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of my suite which included a large balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom was large and had a separate shower and bath. A separate living area with couch and tv was separated from the bed and the outdoor shower was a major plus! The staff was pleasant and very helpful. Most spoke some English, and it was not difficult to communicate with them. Asara has two restaraunts, one beachfront. While I never ate dinner at the resort, I had lunch and drinks several days while relaxing on the beach. While the prices were a higher than what you will find outside the resort, I didn't find that it was too unreasonable. The breakfast buffet is excellent. There is an extensive selection of food from made-to-order eggs, crepes, fresh juices, breads, etc., etc., to traditional Thai breakfast. While the resort is a bit outside of the town, the hotel has a shuttle goes into town at 6 pm and 8 pm and returns to the hotel at 8:30 pm and 10:30 pm, which means you can go into town every night and enjoy the markets and nightlife. Asara was a great resort that I would recommend to anyone and hope to return myself in the future.
golden memories of life”
i was in thailand starting from june 8 till 16 june 2011. it was complete family holiday with my wife and 2 - kids 4 and 5 yrs. after long study i prefer to stay in hua hin city because its more oriented for families and lot of activities for kids and adult. then i chose the asara hotel and i am very much satisfied on my decision. hotel was nice with lot of greenary which leave the jungle impact on you. hotel crew was very helpful and they try their best to satisfy our each and every demand. food was okay only concern that if u travel to subject hotel then do some extra caution for mosquito but it is not a big concern in value of hotel.... lot of great memories bring come with me. must visit the river khawi, rose garden, floating market, bombo rafting, i select the western travelers which available in hua hin market and they r very professional.. if need more info.
Outstanding experience at Asara Hua Hin”
My husband and I were looking for a place to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. We have been to Hua Hin many times and enjoyed every minute there. In the recent years, we have seen many hotels, resorts, boutique hotels pop up like mushrooms, however, not all of them are impressive and meet our standard. We heard about Asara from a close friend who recently spent a holiday with her family and said the hotel was great. We've also been to so many hi-end luxury hotels around the world in addition to those in Hua Hin that we have already visited, so we thought it'd be a good experience. We went to see the hotel in the website and it felt just right. Outstanding hospitality since we step out of our car and went to check in. The room was neat and sleek with high privacy. Not too crowded like other hotels. We enjoyed our 2nd wedding anniversary a lot and will definitely recommend this hotel to others that we know. Please keep up with the good service. Thank you.
Spacious room at an excellent price!”
This is one of the newer full size resorts in Hua Hin. Most newer resorts have very small rooms, but not this hotel! Their rooms are twice the size of other resorts for the same price! Rooms this size cost twice as much at other hotels. Staff are helpful and nice. The breakfast was great, with a nice selection of Asian and Western choices. One of the best feature is this hotel has four pools! One for very small children. This hotel has a very large stretch of beach that is walkable as well as you can swim in. At most properties, there is no beach to walk on when there is high tide, but not at this property. Pros: Cheap for similar size room in Hua Hin Pools Breakfast Fresh fruit and candy on arrival, 4 bottles of water/room Indoor and outdoor rain shower + tub 5 minutes from city center (might be a con for people who don't drive) Cons: Very hard bed In one of the rooms we booked, the covering on the day beds were dirty. Some sitting areas on the property were dirty not cleaned. Just a little more attention to detail and cleanliness would make this one of the top 5 hotels in Hua Hin.
true relaxing vacation”
I traveled by myself, and stayed for 3 nights during the weekday at Asara resort, the place is amazingly quiet and peaceful because I stayed during the weekdays. The staff were being really helpful, the resort provide free shuttle at certain times in the evening to get into the main market in Hua Hin. The breakfast is very nice, Thai and American style, with egg station. The hotel has a few swimming pools, I stayed in the Deluxe suite type (the one on 2nd floor) nice and quiet, lots of privacy at the resort. One bad thing about this suite is that the seating area outside my balcony is full of ants, and the sofa was a bit dirty so I did not use the seating area outside at all. But that was not the problem either, because there are plenty of other places you can sit and relax around the resort e.g) by the pools, by the beach. They have the library where you can borrow movies, DVDs to watch in your room as well (the room has DVD player) One more thing I like about this place is that each room has the CD player, I went to the market and bought CDs music for 200 THB each and played it in the room, totally relaxing. :) The rainshower outside the room is also amazing! 5 stars resort would definitely come back here again, and would totally recommend it to anyone.
Perfect location to get away from it all!”
we were looking for peace and quiet. definitely found it at asara. we booked a pool villa, were impressed by the privacy and peacefulness. a large day bed in the sitting room was perfect for chilling out before dinner, reading quietly. our bedroom was huge, with a chair and ottoman. a cd player and relaxing cd was provided, which set the mood whenever we were inside. ample dressing room space was provided. the unexpected bonus was the outdoor shower in a private courtyard, filled with tropical, lush plants. we showered outside almost exclusively. the staff could not have been more helpful or courteous. the hotel did not offer currency exchange of aud, but were willing to make an exception on this occasion, but other times, we exchanged in hua hin, no passport or id required. the restaurants in the resort were not expensive, and for a simple change of scenery, we caught the shuttle bus into town for some dinners. as the thai guests do not enjoy the sun, we did have the big guest pool to ourselves on the days that we felt like a change of scenery. thai guests only enjoy the pool around 5 to 6pm, by which time we were on the way to dinner or in our own villa. would highly recommend staying at asara. not at all like a huge multi-storey hotel complex. just gorgeous!!!
My 2nd Stay ”
Last time when i was staying with Asara Villa it was not under Movenpick. At that time they already impressed me and my wife, the staff, service, food and environment are amazing. So we decided to stay there 2nd time since the 1st stay was great. 2nd stay is under Movenpick and it's even better, the whole resort was refurbished and it looks even more stunning, the whole resort was upgraded from service, food and environment had gone into another level. I highly recommend it for those who want to stay in Hua Hin.
Dear Khun Kang, Thank you very much for taking the time to share the experience following your recent stay. It was indeed a pleasure to learn that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back in the near future. Regards, Movenpick Asara Resort and Spa Hua Hin
Hua Hin stay”
Asara villa and suite hotel,or the perfect place to stay outside of hua hin city. The domain is huge, very nice houses surrounded by jungle and lake. The holiday suite was pretty clean and fully furnished. Nice gazebo to relax at sunset and exotic open air shower just outside the bathroom. All the staff was very polite from receptionist to gardener. Both pool were big and nice with jacuzzi area. The breakfast was just "Aroy" with a large choice of delicious food for all, Chinese, Japanese, Muslim, Vegetarian and Continental buffet all around their open restaurant. I truly recommend the Asara hotel and will return for sure if i have the chance.
Asara Villa & Suite Hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Hua Hin. The hotel is placed just outside central Hua Hin, hence reducing noise and traffic to a minimum. The hotel is placed in scenic surroundings and staff is very helpful and polite. The suites are excellent, roomy and well-equipped. Breakfast buffet is brilliant and offers many opportunities; both Thai and International food is offered and prepared on-site. In short; a great resort.
Clean and well-maintained hotel with friendly staff who greeted us with a smile everywhere we went! ”
It was our first time travelling with our one-year-old and it was a great stay at Asara. We didn't request a cot prior to our arrival and the staff made sure to meet our request immediately upon our arrival. They also gave us a plastic bath tub to bathe our child in, which was an absolute lifesaver! Hotel wise, the room was big and clean, hotel grounds was also nice and well maintained, and staff everywhere we met was friendly and greeted us with a smile! The security guard too was so friendly! Thumbs up for Asara! Would stay here again if we visit Hua Hin !!!
Gorgeous hotel, pure luxury!!!”
Our second stay at Asara, this time taking friends with us was just wonderful. The resort is so peaceful and relaxing, the beach front location is just gorgeous. The pool villas are a fantastic way to spend your holiday, then if you need a change of location the beach front pool is also beautiful. The treatments at the day spa are well worth doing. Our favourite Hua Hin location!
Cool hotel..but is it mass market or exclusive?”
asara is a very nice hotel. the feel is like a jungle as you walk through the grounds, and all the trees and plants are labeled. the pool villa is very comfortable and the service is quite friendly. and there were always plenty of avaialble lounge chairs by the main pool and beach even though the hotel was full. however, we felt that the asara needs to decide whether it is exclusive or mass market. there were many families with kids, making a lot of noise, which detracted from the pleasant ambiance of the hotel. we were in a pool villa directly adjacent to another villa that had a kid that made a lot of noise playing in the pool starting at 8am. the hotel was unable to move us due to the other rooms being fully occupied. from our perspective, a few days of relaxation in hua hin were disrupted by this one very noisy child. also, it should be noted that hua hin can be quite a long trek from bangkok. we made the trip on a saturday of a long holiday weekend. big mistake. the usual 3 hour trip stretched to more than 5 hours. given a choice between hua hin and phuket, we would choose phuket. the hotel is located about 5km from hua hin town. the hotel has a shuttle bus service into town which is quite convenient.
Christmas at the Asara”
We had a wonderful festive stay at Asara villas. Despite the small plot of the resort, as soon as you arrive you feel like you are in an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Hua Hin. Space in the pool villas is generous and well designed, the grounds are lush and green and the facilities good enough that you don't need to leave for the duration. The staff are friendly and warm without exception. Thanks especially to Khun Top the restaurant superviser who was always on hand to check everything was ok and made my Birthday at the Asara so special.
get more than u pay”
I paid 2 villa /4 nights for new year trip.1 for my parents in law, the other villa, of coz my 1 year old baby n my honey^_^ asara is very good hotel but not in the downtown,so I remind u must have international driving license n book ur car b4 u choose asara.or u will be sorry. the villa facilities very good for couples n family.the swimming pool at the centre of hotel so great.u can enjoy sun rise . pls forget the beach n private pool here. 10 mins drive to hua-hin downtown n cha-am without GPS.very easy to everyone. but don't dream any night life here as all closed b4 10pm^_^
The 2 bedroom villa that we had stayed in is great and spacious. The beds were so comfortable that we were able to have a good night sleep. The staffs there were also very helpful and polite. The breakfast spread were also delicious and sumptuous. There were also free tea time for the guests from 3 pm to 4 pm. Even though the free tea jus consist of some cookies and pancakes and drinks, it was nice to sit there n enjoy the tea with friends. The thai milk tea provided during the tea was also very nice. The Only downside would be the location. It was a bit far off from hua Hin central. Therefore if we were to go to the night market or shopping centre, then the only way would be to take transport. The resort did provide the transport that comes with a fixed fare. Overall, I think I will still chose to come here again.

lovely hotel with spacious beautiful rooms”
We had a lovely 3 night stay at Asara. Beautiful room, spacious, nice pools, nice restaurant, beautiful gardens. Our Holiday suite was a bit far from the beach, but that´s complaining on a very high level. Beach of course is not very nice, typical for Hua Hin, but to sit on the swing and enjoy the view is very relaxing. Nice trip from Bangkok, we will come back!
The whole look of resort is really nice. Very well organised with the good outlook to the sea from the pool... Staff are definitely friendly and welcoming. I would like to return there with my partner on our next hua hin. Breakfast is unmissable with great variety to choose from. Car park in the shed which is important at thailand hot weather. It is not too far to drive from the resort to the hua hin town centre... so it is a total thumb up from me.
This is one of the best villa/hotel in Hua Hin. Upon arrival we are greeted by the hotel host and welcome drinks are given which is lovely and make you feel welcome. When we're there the hotel was under renovation but we hardy get any noises or disturbances, the hotel handled the operation well and assure customers have a great stay. The hotel staff are friendly and kind, they're very attentive and helpful. The breakfast & dinner is wonderful but for breakfast, the food is little cold they need be kept warm, i wish there will be some improvement. The best thing about this hotel is the pool and the beach, it's really clean, nice and chilling. Overall i would rate it 5 stars !!!
Great hotel with little flaws”
Our second visit to the hotel! The room was great and spacious just as me and my hubby remembered. We were impressed with the "welcome back" cake that was put in our room in the evening when we came back from dinner. It was really a pleasant surprise. However, we think the training of the hotel staffs was lacking. The hotel had superb staffs when we first visited (i.e. stopping to greet us when we walked past) but during this visit, most staffs will just walk past without stopping or slowing down. That's quite sad actually since there are many great hotels in Hua Hin to choose from, so I think everything just came down to customer service and mind.
