Movenpick Hanoi”
We enjoyed our stay in the Hanoi Movenpick Hotel. The location is great for visiting the Hoan Kiem Lake. The walk is about 15 minutes. Along the way walking to the lake you can see a ton of restaurants. The hotel staff is very polite and helpful. They remember your requests from days ago and are very prompt with service. The hotel room is very clean and quiet with modern design. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The negative is that the restaurants are too western. You would expect some form of Vietnamese flavor in a Hanoi hotel but not at the Movenpick. Obviously you can always go out to eat on the street, but it might be nice once in a while that you can eat in the hotel when you are feeling lazy. Overall, very nice location, very high quality of service.

Love the service! Highly recommended!”
About 40mins drive from airport, Movenpick is located near to the Old Quarter, but away from the madness. The concierge staff are all knowledgeable, speaks good English, helpful, and always greet us with wide smiles. Especially Anh and his colleague. As we had to catch the overnight train to Sapa, we were directed by the front desk to their gym for freshen up. Nice shower rooms with toiletries and towels. Fantastic! The famous Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake are all around 10mins taxi ride away, costing only about 30k Dong. We left our luggage with the Hotel as we went away for Sapa and Halong Bay, and it had been a great place to come back to after these side trips! Strongly recommend this Hotel in Hanoi to anyone who intends to do Sapa and Halong Bay, and needs a comfortable 'pit stop' to break the travelling. Their breakfast is good, fair variety of food items, and the manager (didn't get his name) was very very helpful. I tried my luck and asked for Egg Benedict, and he actually got the kitchen to whip up something similar. Fresh fruit juices are a plus.

Outstanding Hotel”
I almost didn’t choose this hotel because there were a few bad reviews. I can’t imagine what problem someone had to cause them to write anything negative about the Movenpick. As a Marriott titanium member I stay at Marriotts, but the one in Hanoi was distant from the old quarter and the French quarter so I stayed at the Movenpick. The old city is about a 10 walk away. Service was fantastic. The room was impeccably clean and has everything that I needed. Water pressure in the shower was great. The only minor problem I encountered was communication. Some staff spoke little English so a couple of times someone was called over to answer my questions. I have no reservations about staying in the Movenpick if I visit Hanoi again.

Very flash hotel in a convenient location”
The MovenPick Hotel Hanoi is a very flash hotel. It is spotlessly clean and the rooms are modern, very well appointed and quite large. Everything has a 'Swiss quality' feel about it that is particularly noticeable in the bathrooms. The hotel is conveniently located just outside the Old Quarter and therefore in a quieter location. There are plenty of eating opportunities close by from restaurants to street food. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Some staff are employed specifically to engage with hotel residents and help with inquiries and they do a great job. While appreciated, we found the air conditioning a little on the cold side and the thick quilts supplied were definitely required

Nice hotel with excellent service”
The people working at Movenpick are always extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is great because at night it is quiet but it is a 5 minute taxi ride to Hoan Kiem Late or 15 minute walk. Rooms are good size and kept very clean although the bathroom is a little tight because two small doors open in. The show head is hung quite low on the wall but is removable. I travel often and overall Movenpick is an excellent mid-priced hotel for Southeast Asia.

Nicely decorated, pretty good location”
the front desk staff were the most helpful i can remember in a long time. the hotel is nicely decorated and quite charming, our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. breakfast was a treat and a good way to fuel up before walking to he main tourist attraction in hanoi, hoan kiem lake which is a fifteen minute walk away. on the downside, wifi was an extra a day, ok not a fortune but after working/travelling in asia for over 12 years this is the first incidence of this sort, i would expect this in a typical greedy corportate hotel in central london. the walls are lacking in soundproofing, i could hear the tv in the room next door.

Beautiful Hotel”
I didn't have any expectations before arriving at the Movenpick hotel but if I had they would have been surpassed in every way. The hotel is beautiful both inside and out. The rooms are large and luxuriously furnished and decorated, beds very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious with a large walk in shower. The breakfast room had a great selection of food and was also very nicely furnished. Even though the hotel is on the main road the traffic noise was not too bad considering the noise of traffic in Hanoi! Staff were friendly and helpful and if I was returning to Hanoi I would not hesitate to chose this hotel again.

Nice Hotel and Excellent Service”
We spent two days at the Movenpick in Hanoi. The hotel is very nice, with good-sized rooms, and very comfortable. They have a nice gym, with a sauna, which made a real difference after walking around Hanoi all day. The staff are very good, and courteous. The only issue we had was that the location was not ideal for us. We had spent 4 days in the Old Quarter with buzzing life and teeming with people and motorcycles. The Movenpick area is relatively quiet with few people on the pavements. We also thought we would find cafes and restaurants within easy reach. This was not the case. We were not expecting this, so it was a bit disappointing. But, the staff at the hotel were great. I would recommend this hotel if you are a business traveller, or want comfort but prefer to use taxies to get to your destinations. Once inside the hotel, it is calm and the facilities are exceptional.

loved our stay in moevenpick hanoi, conveniently located to this local restaurant where we went everynight 3 evenings in a row. about 20mins from hoan kiem lake by foot. spa in hotel had great embience but full body massage 1hour was pricey excluding taxes 15%. gym was excellent. in-room dining options were fantastic if u decide to stay-in.

Movenpick Hotel Hanoi”
Stayed in Movenpick hotel hanoi for 2 nites. Gotta say that this is really value for money as the room is nicely decorated and the toilet comes with rain shower. The location is also very good as it is within walking distance to Hang gai street, the shopping street of hanoi. The staffs are friendly and welcoming.

Nice & stylish hotel with friendly service ”
The room is quite spacious, very clean, stylish modern decor & very comfortable bed & pillows! Hotel staff are quite helpful & friendly. Although a bit far from the Hoan Kiem Lake district, hotel surrounding is quite peaceful & many good restaurants nearby. No complaints at all.

Value For Money”
I have been to Hanoi several times and stayed at other 5 star hotels like the Hilton Opera and Sheraton Westlake but I really enjoyed my stay at the Movenpick Hotel. Rooms are smaller than the two mentioned but more modern and comfortable! Better selection of TV channels, well stocked minibar, great coffeeshop. I would stay again 😁

Moevenpick Hotel, Hanoi, Vietnam”
Arriving at the Movenpick you are faced with a bright and modern reception where the staff were always friendly, warm, welcoming and efficient. Entering the bedroom was like something out of a dream: graphite coloured (and slightly metallic), textured walpaper, black and silver curtains and a bright, shiny, SILVER LEAF chest of drawers. Shocking! The bathroom has a large window to the bedroom with venetian blinds controlled from the bedroom side! Not likely to effect most people but could be interesting in the unlikely circumstances of two relative strangers sharing a room! Overall, it gave the room a bright and airy feel and it was certainly comfortable. Great and varied breakfast buffet, but slow on the coffee refils (and then only half-filled cups)- a minor niggle. It is well located - a brisk 10-15 minutes walk to the old district and the lake but with several restaurants within 200 metres. In the past I have usually stayed at the Sofitel Metropole for its charm and elegance but it is very overpriced when compared with the Movenpick which is far better value. Would I return? Yes. Definitely.

excellent location in old district”
The hotel is located in the old quarter of Hanoi near Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff are professional and friendly and very helpful. The rooms are very spacious, the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is great.

I really loved the stay”
I have been staying at the hotel for 4 nights. The location is great if you need a hotel close to the Hoan Kiem lake ( about 5 Minutes by taxi to the southern part of the lake and additional few minutes to the old quarter, you can easily do it by foot as well) The hotel is quite small and the same applies for the rooms but I did not really care about it. I have liked the room furnishing and the room design. The service was also very good. Final conclusion: I loved my stay at the hotel with One glitch from being perfect: The free Wifi needs some better performance

Hanoi Moevenpick Hotel”
The Moevenpick Hanoi is a true 5 star hotel in Hanoi. It is in a great location near a lot of great restaurants. The hotel is new and service is great, all staff spoke good english which is very rare in Vietnam. The room rates are generally lower than some of the other newer 5 star hotels in the city, however one thing I noticed is that the standard room rates do not incl. breakfast or internet. The breakfast is 17 USD++ per person which is high by Vietnams standards. The internet WIFI is offered at 3USD per hr. There are plenty of eating/dinning choices within few blocks from the hotel, including Quan Nam which is a great open air eatery and also Indochina which is one of the better restaurants in Hanoi. Highland coffee is also next door.

My Hanoi experience”
I was not sure what to expect from this first trip to Hanoi but I am glad for the experience and for choosing Movenpick, which is clean and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. I love the rain showers in the bathroom! I would say the price is reasonable but it would be great if breakfast can be included. Location is also good, away from the noise and yet near enough by foot or a short cab ride. All in, it was a good stay for us.

Lovely Hotel”
I stay at the Movenpick when in Hanoi as it is reasonably priced and very comfortable. There is very good attention to detail, the room is well equiped and comfortable. The bed is supremely comfortable and assures a good nights sleep. It is also close to the old quarter so this can be walked. Will certainly stay there again.

Nicely appointed, fantastic staff, and a great location!”
I was in Hanoi for 2 days before heading off to HaLong bay for an overnight cruise, then returned to the city. I stayed at the Movenpick both times and they were great. They even stored my luggage while I was away for no charge. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, as were the doormen and restaurant staff. Would highly recommend. If your room smells a little musty when you arrive, just remember you're in Southeast Asia and it will go away when the air conditioning gets a chance to kick in.
