the hotel setup is really relaxing. onsen is good. room is big too.. pity that the hotel can't serve food due to revamping of their kitchen facility during our stay. but it's not a big issue as there are many restaurants and izakayas around the hotel. the hotel is also near the train station. will recommend to friends.

Won't stay here again”
Basically I only have limited choices during Easter break, and this is a very traditional hotel indeed. But be careful when you book. I've booked a "Twin with breakfast" x1, and I originally thought it's already for 2 people. But they actually counted that as for 1 adult and end up having all the utilities as for 1 person (i.e. 1 Tatami bed, 1 set of Kimono/toothbrush/towel everything.

The room we had was beautiful, and the garden is magnificent. Unfortunately, dinner and breakfast felt like I was back in a college dining hall. Eating in a large dining hall didn't match the ambiance of this hotel.

The stay was great. The staff cant really speak English, but very helpful. The private onsen cost 3500JPY, worth the experience. Tojinbo is easy access via local bus. The buffet breakfast is good experience as well.

Comfortable ryokan in Awara.”
A very comfortable ryokan. My friends and I stayed in a traditional (tatami) room and really enjoyed ourselves. Lots of onsite amenities, like onsen, pool, and food (breakfast and dinner) really made this place shine. A great experience.

バイキングは想像以上。ヒルトンの昼よりも上。 かなり食事に原価をかけていると感じた。朝も昼も。 その分人件費は抑えているため 上げ膳据え膳を期待する人はいってはいけない。 温泉はごく普通。
