Food at the hotel was excellent and great value. We stayed in a studio apartment which looked out onto the air conditioning units at the back and bummed on all night. Some people may not find this a problem but we live in the country and are used to silence at night however I suppose someone has to get these rooms. We had friends staying in one of the lodges so spent most of our time with them but should have had a look at the bigger rooms for future visits. Excellent staff and cleanliness. Bed really comfortable.

Great facilities and food was AMAZING”

The food at the club restaurant was outstanding. Also the pool facilities were great. Rooms were a little small but only used to sleep so no big disappointments.

An old favourite ”

This was the first time that I had stayed in the hotel, having been to the lodges on a few occasions. The facilities are excellent, well maintained and staffed with the most helpful of people. The service is first class as you would expect at a Hilton! The weather is Scotland, so prepare for wind and rain an you will enjoy the walks, sights and fresh air. If you want to stay dry on those wet days, then the pool, steam room and sauna are there for you together with a well equipped gym. A lovely place and a most welcome setting. Ballater itself is an ideal place to chill out and relax.

Nice hotel but a bit overpriced”

we stayed for one night on our trip to the countryside. the room was a bit shabbier than we would have expected from a four star hotel and the view from the balcony was to the back yard and the loading dock but it was quiet and clean enough and breakfast was excellent. unfortunately we didn't have the time to visit the spa but it looked nice.
