Nice staff, nice room”
Room is clean. Staff is nice and helps us to planning the route very day. Location is good as well. There are convenient store next to the hotel. A supermarket is just a few minutes walk. We can find airport bus in 2mins walk and metro in 10mins walk. Very nice stay here!
Great location and good price ”
Pros: Location (1 bus stop away from main station, 5 min walking distance to Strøget), comfortable bed. Price is competitive with others hotel. Cons: Small shower room. Generally is very clean except some dust found under the bed (for keeping our luggage)
Good location, friendly staff”
Location was pretty good, 10 minute walk from Central Station and close to centre of town. Well designed room, everything worked. One thing to note was that the single bed was quite narrow, smaller than most singles I have experienced in Europe. Breakfast in adjoining restaurant was good value.
Hotel Alexandra is located close to the central train station and city centre. The hotel room was clean with good beds and a decent bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a very good selection and high quality. Staff were friendly and helpfull. Overall for the money i couldnt fault this hotel, it is a unique boutique hotel located in a central location with more than adequate rooms and facilities.
Great place and stay”
Lovely place, location and great staff that were super helpful. Excellent value! Thank you
Recommended place to stay”
Our stay was pleasant, staff was very helpful. We would happily recommend this hotel to visitors. The only small downside was the room was a little small especially when you have large suitcases but it is manageable.
Great design hotel in a great location”
Great location and rooms are beautifully designed with classic Danish furniture. Everything about this hotel exudes style and elegance. The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. There is a Vietnamese restaurant next door which features a great menu, although we didn't get the chance to try it.
Best value for the money”
Centrally located close to restaurants, museums, parks, and nightlife. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. Good affordable breakfast option. The bathroom was fairly clean but could improve, specially in the more standard rooms. Eden, one of the staff members was extremely helpful providing addresses to mid-century furniture stores in the city and other attractions. She even showed us some of the other rooms inspired by famous mid-century designers. Overall, great hotel for the price. Highly recommended. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I return to CPH.
Equipped with vintage design furnitures”
My room was great with 3 big windows but it was a little cold . The staff was kind enough to bring blankets when I asked for it. The hotel must be perfect for someone who is interested in dennish furnitures which provide experience in the hotel room.
lovely hotel and service with a smile”
the rooms were very quaint, comfortable and pretty. the lobby has a very homely atmosphere conducive to leisure and business. the staff is extremely helpful. we really enjoyed our stay and have recommended the hotel to others. i wonder why it's listed as a three star and not four?? regards
+ points : Early Check in & Hotel Location - points : Dirty rooms and request for twin bed & quiet room not taken into consideration despite what seems like non peak season. Check in : Staff asked for name, upon replied but she don't get it caused it's Asian's name, she showed a face of disgust or unhappy. It was very unprofessional for tourism industry. location : good (beside main road, if u get rooms facing the road. it's noise thru out) air conditioning : Not available, only heater if you are on level 2 facing the road, it's your decision to open the windows or not... Cleanliness : it was dirty! with chewgum on the bed and bed sheet stained, 5 nights we stayed with no bed sheet changes despite it was already so dirty! (Most terrible experience for me by far) safe deposit box : encountered issue and call concierge, reply was the maintenance team is not in yet at 10AM?! thereafter, we hear no news, anyway who would dare to use that anymore. Service could be improved as there's no follow up. Conclusion: Not returning!
Very good location, very near to Tivoli Gardens
Small hotel with good and curated design”
Nestled in a great location, near central area which is easy for us to get to anywhere. Such Tivoli Garden, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, and some beautiful shops.
Great find in Copenhagen ”
Location good, great design features, comfortable
Very well designed hotel. For the Design fan.”
Again. I just loved the theme of this Hotel. Based around famous Danish designers. The Asian cafe downstairs was handy but seemed a little over priced.
This hotel is in a great location, but the rooms are very stuffy and hot! There's no air conditioning, but they do supply a small desk fan and a printout that suggests you should open your windows to cool the room if you're hot. Sounds fine, until you realise you're on HC Boulevard and there are sirens racing past constantly (must be a hospital nearby and you get ambulances and specialist surgeons' vehicles with blaring sirens). It's impossible to sleep with the window shut (stuffy) or open (noise). Other than that, the rooms are ok and the toiletries nice. We had the housekeeping trolley parked outside our door all the time though, so it was a 2-way manoeuvre to get in and out of the room. Denmark is expensive, but I think $400 a night is too much for what we got.
Lovely stay in a large design suite”
We had a corner room on the 4th floor overlooking the main street, with a balcony which was lovely to enjoy coffee/breakfast. It did get noisy until late but it is typical of city setting. The room is much bigger than expected, and there is wireless internet available (contrary to what was noted in the hotel website).
Great atmosphere with friendly staff ”
very helpful staff who were knowledgeable about sightseeing. suggestion of the bicycles was fantastic as it is so easy to get around copenhagen and see a lot more than just walking. beautiful city and the meatpackers area is incredible for restaurants and bars. art deco interior of the hotels is very interesting with posters on the walls a feature. the rooms are quite small but clean and quiet with the windows closed!
Alexandra Hotel Copenhagen”
Stayed at the Alexandra Hotel Copenhagen for 2 nights and found the hotel located within a short walking distance from the central train station, meaning it was very easy to take a train from the Copenhagen airport into town ( 15 min) and then walk to the hotel from the central train station. The hotel was also within walking distance of numerous attractions such as Tivoli and the main shopping street Strøget. This was perfect for us, as we went to Copenhagen on a weekend shopping trip. Also even though the hotel is located on a busy street, the noise level of our room was very low. This was true for the first night, the second night the hotel had rented out its first floor bistro /bar to a closed party that played very loud music until 2 am! We called the receptionist at 1 am and asked when they would turn down the music, it was so loud that one could hear every word of the lyrics to the songs played through 2 floors! The receptionist said the music would be turned down and finally the party would be over by 2 am. The party was over by 2 am and we could finally go to sleep. At breakfast the next morning everyone there talked of the same thing how they could not sleep due to the loud party noise the previous night. For our party we were a bit tired but felt bad for the people who had conferences to attend early in the morning.
Quaint hotel near Tivoli”
This hotel is located near Tivoli Garden. Clean, comfy and value for money.
