A great place to stay for meetings; other areas need fine tuning”
My husband and I stayed here while on a business trip. The grounds are quite nice. We had to request a change of room because the first one reeked of mold. The second room was very nice, and the smell of mold wasn't as strong. The lunch/ dinner buffet wasn't tempting, especially for the price. We tried to exchange money here multiple times (they had a great rate that they had even advertised on the radio) but were told that the limit was $20. Eventually, they let us exchange more than that, but it was unnecessarily confrontational.
Everything was outstanding! The staff was great especially Manager Irene, front desk clerk Amon! ”
The only negative was that we were not informed of the construction being done onsite. I would have liked to know before because the beach access was limited as a result. The other area for improvement would be to spray around the lagoon to reduce the flies. The rooms and breakfast was superb. Everyone in the restaurants/pool bar were hospitable. The food was also delicious. We had a great vacation!!
Staying in Labadi Beach Hotel during meeting at the same hotel”
Stayed at room 306 from Sunday night to Friday morning. Was able to go to the beach on Sunday afternoon/evening. Labadi beach hotel had a private access to the beach with chairs set up for the guests. Meeting room just beside the restaurant. Breakfast was included. Chefs will make omelettes and eggs for you. The pancakes were also nice. Good selection of bacon. Croissants looked different from the usual fare but nice and flaky. Selection of fruits. I was able to have lamb kidney for breakfast as well. Had buffet dinner twice. First buffet dinner was great but had I had a bad reaction to the food which kept me vomiting from 1am to daybreak. Got the courage to have buffet dinner again the following night. No vomiting for that buffet. I think my body was not used to the okra and spices of the local cuisine during the 1st buffet. Price quoted for a night was USD320 (walk in inquiry). I was able to get rates much cheaper from the internet (Agoda)
Best Beach front property in Ghana”
My wife and I stayed at Labadi Beach Hotel in July 2018 for our wedding anniversary. We stayed for 7 days and 6 nights. I booked my hotel on Tripadvisor via Agoda. It was the best price point compared to all other sites for the property. The hotel is the best beachfront property in Accra. In July, the hotel host a lot of events for major corporations in their conference room and poolside. I enjoyed the music and festive nature of it all. I enjoyed the swimming pool on the property. I went for a swim almost every morning. The standard room was comfortable. The food menu and drink menu are overpriced, as to be expected. The staff was very courteous and accomodating. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
The staff extremely friendly Location was ideal in terms of getting around The availability of a free airport shuttle a definite plus... And lets not forget the FOOD!! Well done Chef. The cons- a little challenge to organise a late check out given the late night flights.
Hawkers will try to still your joy!”
Great place .Morning dining room staff worked hard to please . (Other meals not worth what they charge. A little flim-flam , arrived first day but not eligible for breakfast.???) Beach is nice but could use some attention, “hawkers” ruin the view and peace , and solitude you sometime want to enjoy. Staff did there best to keep them out of restricted area but unrestricted area was open field. Open area also is between you and water line. Should be a better way to do this! All bartenders friendly but not pushy even when I did BYOB. Local drink prices not very competitive.
Marvelous Accra hotel”
First rate hotel with an exquisite and well appointed lobby, helpful staff who impressively make it a point to get to know you personally, delicious and abundant food, and beautiful and refreshing pools. The airport pick-up included a cooling wash cloth, cold water, and wifi - really classy hotel that thought of great little touches from beginning to end. Just note that the hotel is open to day visitors so it gets packed and noisy around the pool especially on weekends. I gave location only 3 stars because I like to walk and explore a city on foot and couldn't from the hotel because it's quite removed from the center of town; while it's on Labadi Beach, if you want to visit the markets and historical areas of Accra you need to take a taxi. Otherwise if you're looking for a resort escape in Accra, this is the hotel.
Not value for money ,”
Just returned from ghana Very disappointed Hotel is , to expensive for what it is Not really five star We had to change our room 3 times as air conditioning not working ,
Good staff at the front desk, good food, slow service at the beach bar and the reception bar probably due to traffic
Good stay ”
Poor internet connectivity in some rooms of the Hotel otherwise, all was very good.
Never have I felt so welcome and looked after at a hotel. I booked The Labadi Beach Hotel, as a birthday surprise for a friend and I had two family members with me also. On arrival we were greeted with warm smiles and offered a refreshment and cool face towel. At check-in the ladies were extremely informative and let us know exactly where things were etc. The reception/lobby is designed so beautifully and quintencially African which is very much why I wanted to stay here. I didn't wish to book yet abother chain hotel that didn't reflect the country in which I am staying. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the added Ghanaian touches just make you feel like you are home. The grounds and overall design of the hotel are perfectly maintained and beatiful to look at. The breakfast is a banquet and you have everything you could ever imagine wanting for your morning meal. It really is plentiful and you will not be disappointed. They offer meals throughout the day but these are charged extra and are expensive compared to local food outside. Due to having so much to eat at breakfast I didn't need to eat anything until dinner time and I often went out to explore the city as there are so many fabulous places to eat. The staff are fabulous and there is nothing you could want or need as they are so attentive. I came into contact with so many staff howver Charles Njeru the Financial Controller of the establishment showed my family and I extreme kindness and outstanding hospitality during our stay here, and for this I am very grateful. Needless to say I will be back and I will be back and I will be telling others how great this place is.
Deluxe Room was large and comfortable with tea/coffee maker. Breakfast good with variety and restaurant is well appointed. Overall very enjoyable stay even though the air conditioner was not performing well and have to change room which was seamless upon complain at the reception.
Very lovely...but there's no hairdryer in bathroom for my wife..in all I enjoyed our 2 years anniversary of my our marriage
Lovely resort on the beach”
This is a beautiful hotel with a fantastic staff. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The pool and grounds offer a nice retreat from the busy city and the hotel often has entertainment for their guests. The breakfast buffet is one of the best offered anywhere served by a friendly and attentive staff. The beach is also very nice and I will definitely stay here again when I return.
The rooms are up to International standards. The lady at the front desk with the short stylish hair was awesome as she connects instantly with customers. She also pays attention to detail and misses nothing. Her service was exceptional and she exceeded expectations. To me, she is the hotel. She is a gem. Perfect location if one intends to rest. Rooms are big and clean, water pressure in showers are perfect. Room service was prompt. Breakfast selection was above average. Would stay again
Truly is the best in Accra”
The room we had didn't reflect the price but we had a great short stay. The staff and Ghanaian people are such friendly and peaceful people. Our stay felt really short as the staff and facilities made it easy to feel at home.
Oasis in a hectic life”
This was our second time at this hotel, having spent a similar period last year (2016). That may tell you whether we liked it or not. The main building is light and airy, with an African feel. Having stayed at the Movenpick a few years ago, this hotel did not have the 'this hotel could be anywhere in the world' feel to it. Sensibly laid out for business meetings, family reunions, couples and families, with a good gym, a pool for kids and a sensible pool for those of us who like to rid ourselves of the stress of sitting on a beach by doing some 30 metre lengths. My kids are in their 30s now, but we entertained a local Ghanaian family with a child, and he loved it. There are tennis courts for those who want to do daft things in 38 degree heat, and a spa where one can be pampered. Lots of friendly staff, but although the prices were a little steep(even by European standards) I cannot fault the quality of the food (as supervised by the South African Chef)or the excellent service. One can eat in air-conditioned splendour or on the terrace and enjoy the African warmth. With temperatures around Freezing back home, we always ate on the terrace overlooking the pool. The evening meal is either a set priced buffet or one can choose from the a la carte. Breakfasts were sumptuous, in that there was an egg station, a grill station, a pancake station and all in between. There were Ghanaian dishes, and enough choice for world travellers to select whatever they desired. Very easy to eat too much! The rooms were comfortable and cleaned efficiently. We had a problem with a bedside light buzzing - an electrician/handyman arrived immediately and sorted it. The staff at the beach were attentive and the service great. Beach chairs/loungers available, towels from the gym and shade if one needed it. My only comment which is negative is something that the hotel has no power over – The general beach situation, particularly the rubbish on the beach and in the sea. In this day and age, it
A weekend break”
Very nice hotel and outstanding staff!!
Good hotel - excellent location - very expensive”
We stayed at the Ladabi Beach hotel for two nights and couldn't believe how expensive it was - we have travelled extensively just having returned from Japan and stay in London most weeks but this was more expensive than both of those locations. It was an excellent hotel - good facilities and right on the beach - the food was good - but not outstanding.- little things meant it compared poorly with other hotels of this standing - service very slow - could wait an hour for a sandwich - having to sign for towels next to the pool in case they werent returned. We enjoyed our time there but the contrast between these hotels and rural Ghana is huge.
Very nice rooms, pleasant staff although the breakfast was disappointing compared to previous visit
