Exceptional Service !!”
All hotel staff services are excellent starting from door opening to front desk to Restaurant. We booked for a clubroom, the room is spacious and comfortable. Even after open up 2 big and 1 small luggages, still have rooms to walk around. Seldom get such a spacious & reasonable price room (inclusive of breakfast) in London City. I told the hotel that we are coming to London for celebration of my husband birthday. Hotel is super kind to prepare such a surprise wonderful decoration in the room for us. And even prepared cake and drinks for my husband in the room. Really exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much to the hotel. You are very sweet!! Every time we walk in and out the hotel, there will be staff greeting us. In the restaurant, the captain (Indian Male, sorry I didn’t get his name) is very friendly , make us feel very warm to have breakfast in the hotel every morning. Location is good, within 3-5min walking distance to Earls Court tube station.
Nice look model ”
Good location very easy to go market only walk about 3-5 mins can get train go to city of London stuff very friendly I love it I will come back again
my stay at best western premier shaftesbury kensington hotel was brilliant. i also left an iphone charger at the hotel, but i still manage to retrieve back through the housekeeping. the room is big and spacious, very convenience as well as it is near to city centre & the underground (earl's court). bath room had got a decent size as well which is good. overall i had an enjoyable stay and will be back soon if there is a need to stay over at london.
Overall I am satisfied with my choice as the location is very convenient for those who uses Piccadilly line a lot. Heathrow airport to the west and China Town, Knightsbridge to the east. Room and toilet is very clean but the water pressure a bit disappointing. Fresh fruits provided by the hotel is a big plus.
My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in November 2017. It was a good stay. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. Location is really convenient to Earls Court Station of the London Underground. Also close to a number of restaurants, whether one is looking for a traditional English pub, fast food, Asian food, or a little more upscale dining (such as the hotel offers). Several convenience stores are close by on Earls Court also. The hotel lobby and rooms are clean and modern and staff is very helpful, anxious to please and responsive to requests and concerns. Rooms are fairly small; if you are going to have a longer stay or spend much time in your room paying extra for a larger room will be worth it. Our room was on the lower level and had no windows (but did have a skylight); nevertheless we spent most of our days running around London and were quite comfortable.
A great experience ”
I've written in prior our arrival at the hotel. The hotel surprised us with a well decorated room, a card to congratulate our anniversary, complimentary wine bottle, chocolate and a fruit basket. well done to the hotel staff! well done!
The hotel is located just three minutes walk from earls court metro station , on picadely line with link to heatrow airport and all tourist attractions on the opposite direction, with lots of shops and restaurants around, cleanness is accepted, staffs are extremely helpful and great,
A hotel for that is good for value and location.”
Pros: 1). Excellent Location 2). Clean Rooms. 3). Friendly staff from doorman, front desk to housekeepers. Cons: 1). Rooms are small even for the club room that I stayed in 2). Room acccess card is unreliable, had to reset it at the counter nearly everyday. 3). Toilet is clean however, the design could be better; we had a ensuite bath that had a glass panel that could be potentially hazardous.
Great location, wonderful staff, would definitely stay here again. The elevator is a bit slow, and the lobby can be a bit cramped at times, but who really cares about such trivial things. Everything else was fantastic, and we will definitely stat her again
Thank you for a welcoming stay!”
We arrived late after a long day and were pleasantly surprised by the offer of a room upgrade and a quick check in process. The night manager, Aijaz Divecha, was particularly attentive and ensured we had everything we needed for our short stay and early morning departure. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend your establishment to family, friends and colleagues. Thank you for such a welcoming stay.
Convenient Location ”
Convenient location close to Earls Court tube station (Piccadilly line - so a straight shot to Heathrow if you need to make it to the airport). We were able to drop our bags early as we arrived before check-in. The room itself was clean and spacious. Great bathroom sinks and showers. Overall a great place, good value for the cost.
Avoid if possible”
We checked in late in the night upon our return from Manchester were informed at 10.30pm that our room was not available due to maintenance. They claimed that they couldn't reach me earlier to inform me as I booked the hotel through Agoda. I find it strange especially since the last I checked, my phone number that I was using in UK was listed. I have stayed in the same hotel on the first night of my entire trip and have informed them that I will be returning after 2 nights away, so the hotel would definitely have my particulars as I provided them during the first check in. Even an email would be appreciated, but there were no communications at all. We were transferred to their sister hotel - Park Grand London Paddington with free transfer. No doubt the hotel in Paddington was at a more central location, but we were given a room in the basement, right beside the breakfast room and public toilet. Noise was an issue when they prepared breakfast. Moreover, the room's floor was wet with liquid, and there was a strong stench of overpowering room scent that they used. I made the request for transfer to another room and we were given a room so small, the two single beds were lined along the same wall such that my travel companion's and my feet were facing each other when we sleep. There is definitely no space for 2 large luggage on the floor. English is not the native language of the hotel staff at the front desk of Park Grand London Paddington so they have difficulty understanding your request. And they appear perplexed when faced with customer issue. Please avoid this brand of hotel if possible.
Better choices around”
I have indicated that I would prefer not to have the first or last room, which staff do not appear to understand as English is not their native language. We were given a corner first room right opposite the staff room/office so there were doors banging when hotel staff working the overnight shift enter the office. Conversations of staff talking when they enter the office or greet one another could be heard the whole night, which disrupted our sleep. We wanted to leave our luggage overnight as we would be going away for 2 nights and returning but they did not allow for that. Traveled extensively and this was the first I have come across. Checked with my friend who lives in London and she was surprised too. Overall not the best experience.
My stay review”
For the most my stay was fine. I was in room 16. The only niggles I encountered were: 1. my room was at basement level with no view Ithe window is really high up the wall and impossible to see through unless one stands on a chair/ladder. 2. The TV remote control worked intermittently. 3. The only way I could switch off two of the lights was by removing the room key-card from the slot on the wall.
Weekend one night stay”
I was very impressed with this hotel. I booked last minute. The room was clean and luxurious. The staff were efficient and friendly. My only dislike was that our room was below ground level and there were no windows with fresh air able to come in. It was fine for one night but I would not be able to stay longer. I would certainly book and stay there again. Thanks,
Nicely appointed hotel near transportation and res”
We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting London. The hotel staff is fast, attentive, and friendly. Earl's Court tube station is about a 3 minute walk down a very safe (and lively) street. There are numerous pubs and restaurants (try The Blackbird pub!) nearby. Fast and free high-speed internet is available, cable TV is included, and the staff includes a few bottles of water for your arrival. Rooms had a mini-bar and fridge, tea and biscuits, and the bathroom had a rainfall-style shower as well as a removable showerhead. Did not try the restaurant or bar, as there were many options around us within easy walking distance. We would absolutely stay here again.
Great location with niew rooms”
Very nice hotel. Which is very easy to reach by metro. Hotel is located in a quiet street. The rooms have just been renovated, so everything is new. Rooms are equipped with an Ethernet connection for laptops and you can even connect devices to the TV.
Sent to another hotel again”
We stayed twice at this hotel within this month as a stopgap between our trips to Europe. In the three times that we stayed here, we were sent once to another hotel in Shaftesbury group at Paddington and another time to the hotel opposite this hotel, both of which are worse than this hotel. From what I've read in a few hotel website reviews, this hotel group (Shaftesbury) seems to leverage on the Best Western Premier brand and have guests overbook this hotel. As a result, when guests come checking in, they will be sent away to another Shaftesbury hotel which are very inconvenient if you are looking for a hotel near tube station and other hotels are somewhat only 2-3 stars.
Great location, typical UK room size (small)”
For internet, you need laptop with a LAN port, wi-fi simply does not work here. The bed is tired and old. The room is quite dark. Try to check-in as early as possible to avoid being sent to another one of their hotels (Shaftesbury group - not Best Western) which is normally worse.
Nice hotel, good staff, great location.”
i arrived early and the room wasn't ready - but they took my suitcase and i arrived at 2pm to check in. even though there was a rush of people at 2pm, i was still checked in and in my room within 10 minutes, and the helpful porter brought my case up a few minutes later. my deluxe room was lovely - not very big, but this is london and for the price i paid i thought it was very well appointed. spotlessly clean, very clean and spotless bathroom too. tea and coffee making equipment and microwave and fridge made it very easy to have your own food and drinks too (who cares if there's a mini bar!?). good tv service - all in all i thought it was an excellent hotel and good value for money.
