Parking was difficult and not safe. We was lucky that our motorcycles was still there in morning. We dont park them where personel try to show. We park next of guardian house, not behind corner in dark side. Personel of parking was unpolite and no help.

Very good hotel if you plan to cross over into China, otherwise it's off the path, far from restaurants, bus, railway, and travel services, but the staff can arrange various transportations for you. really nice big rooms for the money, but the AC was lacking in mine, possibly just needed air filter cleaned

cán bộ nhân viên khá nhiệt tình khi thấy có trẻ con nhỏ bụ bẫm nhưng chưa chuyên nghiệp trong cách phục vụ, cơ sở vật chất ở mức 4*. Mình chỉ ngủ lại qua đêm nhưng không có ấn tượng nhiều. Ngoài việc vị trí khá tốt khi bước chân ra khỏi sảnh khách sạn là cửa hải quan 2 nước Việt Trung. buổi tối đau bụng và bị sốt khách sạn không có thuốc hay dịch vụ y tế nào, 9-10h đi bộ quanh gần khu khách sạn thì không có hiệu thuốc mở cửa muộn.

Nice hotel if you need to be in Lao Cai”

We enjoyed our hotel. We wanted to be close to the Bac Ha Market on Sunday morning. We took a taxi on the way up ($ 30 USD) and a bus (very crowded but only $7 for two) on the way back. The next day we relocated to Sapa for a few days. This hotel had good food, the room was spacious with a nice view of the city and river. The staff was very helpful.

Great hotel. They have three restaurants, massage service. The workers very helpful every moment, bit have yo improve their english. Breakfast lack of fresh fruit and maybe more food oriented to western people, but also good. i Will repeat

Just in front of the border. Good location, clean room with bath tub. Food in the hotel is cheap. Around there, you can get some Chinese stuff including cup noodles.

This is a basic hotel. But for a remote place like Lao Cai, i suppose you can consider this pretty decent. The staff at the restaurant spoke no english nor mandarin - which can be challenging when ordering food.

We were stuck in Lao Cai and found this beautiful hotel, clean, good food and all the max comforts. In case you are forced to stay in Lao Cai, this is a very optimal solution.

Right Answer, Wrong Reason”

I chose this hotel because it was next to the Chinese border. Had I known what a good hotel it was I would have chosen it for that reason alone. There was a good choice at breakfast and my Pho was the best I had during this visit to Vietnam. My wife had a steak in the restaurant in the evening and she said it was perfectly cooked ... she specified rare and got it just as she wanted it. I had a chinese style pork and cashew dish from the Vietnamese menu ... it was bright, perfectly cooked and vividly, but not over spiced ... the flavours were enhanced not crowded out. My wife's said that her Mojito was up with the best she had drunk in Cuba and was taken back to the park at the end of the peninsula at Cienfuegos. We were the only other diners and it was late. The kitchen staff had just catered for a business oriented childrens' party where several of the guests had made liberal use of the free bar. I watched the staff tactfully keep these people under control and despite all this they gave great and attentive service with a flourish. They, like the rest of the staff were very helpful. I have a weakness for this style of hotel and this was a very good example of a four star hotel with central not individual A/C. The bathroom was good and appropriately equipped. One might carp at few tiny details like a small stain on the carpet but people spill coffee, but in all the main areas they get it right.

Sapaly Hotel Lau Cai”

The hotel was fine except for charging $20 for two Jack Daniel + cokes, but maybe the guy at the bar didn't have much of a clue. The hotel was very quiet with only a handful of guests, as I imagine the peak season is when everyone is in town for summer visits to Sapa and Bac Ha market from Hanoi. It would be really nice to have a cafe + bar on one of the floors overlooking the river as that is an interesting view at any time of day. The food in the restaurant was only so-so, with only one of the 3 restaurants advertised operating, but again maybe its different when the crowds are there. I thought the standard of the rooms and service were fine but seems to want for anything to do other than hang around a deserted hotel, so headed to the bus station area for food and drink after first two days....much nicer. Maybe this will change over time. I don't suspect that europeans are not the main concern or visitor, so perhaps a different view from the chinese (the border is a couple of hundred meters away) and locals up from Hanoi or transiting after visiting the mountain areas either side of Lau Cai. One other issue was that the reception insisted on retaining our passports for the duration which is highly abnormal, maybe a hangover mentality from a fast disappearing communist past. Whatever.....

１．14階に宿泊しました。トイレの水流が弱すぎるのか，なかなか流れませんでした。一人泊だったので時間をおいて何回か流し，最終的に何とか流れましたが，二人だと困りますね。 ２．チェックインのときにフットマッサージ（15分）の券をもらったので行くと，１時間足湯（桶樽）につかり「マッサージをしますか？」と値段表を示されました。有料なら有料と分かるようにしてほしかったです。（券に書いてあったのかもしれません） ３．１階のラウンジでピザを注文すると３０分くらいかかりました。そのくらいが相場なのかもしれませんが。
