Hotel di pusat kota London”
Menginap di hotel ini sangat menyenangkan karena letaknya di pusat kota London, mudah mendapatkan transportasi, dekat dengan pusat perbelanjaan dan juga restoran, pelayanan para staff yang memuaskan
Most convenient ”
Strand Palace Hotel is the most convenient hotel in London. I have been staying there almost every couple of years for around 30 years. Rooms are very small but that is old London and you enjoy the charm of this place. Not cheap at all but the standard is matches the price. Very old fashioned, charming, old English if that’s what you like b
Best location ever”
1. Location: ★★★★★ Cannnot be better. Close to Charing Cross, Leicester, Covent Garden, Holborn station. Close to shops, restaurants, sightseeing spots, which made my trip more festive. 2. Staff: very friendly and helpful. 3. Breakfast: not many options but quality food. 4. Room: TOO small. Can't believe i paid over 200 dollars for this tiny room. If I put my luggage on the floor basically there is no room to walk around. The bathroom is also tiny. I guess this is why people say price in thr U.K. is brutal.
Great location and efficient”
The location is superb and I was also offered a quiet room facing the courtyard, which made for peaceful sleep. The room was clean and well equipped. Check in was helpful and the concierge managed several requests with ease.
Sweet location, stylish & cozy hotel!”
The location is wonderful, the staff is super friendly, breakfast is scrumptious! I enjoyed staying there on a business trip all by myself and felt like a sophisticated lady; I adored the style of the hotel as well - very pretty:) House keeping is amazing, the cleanliness is 10/10. Some rooms are really tiny though, and don’t have enough light coming from the windows, but I was lucky to have quite a spacious room with two windows (in the bedroom and in the bathroom). There is no fridge in the room. When I asked for an iron, the first one I was offered was burned black, the second looked like it arrived from Victorian times, and the third one had a little splinter on its surface, so I had to be careful ironing shirts in order not to ruin them; it still worked for me though and I’m thankful. It was a very pleasant experience in general! I would recommend:)
Central Location ”
Im an expat living abroad who is actually from London and I tend to stay here whenever I visit London Location location location is what this hotel is all about.......mins walk from Covert Garden plus other tourist attractions. Rooms are fairly basic but come with a decent size bed and good TV channels for all nationalities. Bar/Food is reasonable but as you would expect slightly overpriced ( as you would expect for any central city location ) Very good friendly staff whilst the hotel is kept clean for how busy it it Good place to stay for 3/4 days in London that won't break the bank
In the Heart of London”
Great location, room was quiet and clean but super small, i was traveling solo though so it was ok. Gym was also tiny, used it Saturday but on Sunday i couldn't get it as there were already 6 people at that was the maximum capacity. Everything you could need is at your door step. Staff were friendly, helpful, I would definitely stay here again.
Great Location”
Great value, great location, good breakfast, most staff good. Only recommendation is that when the fire alarm went of at 6am and we had to evacuate non of the staff looked out for or offered assistance to the less able elderly . It should be a priority in this situation.
Friendly bartenders”
London is super expensive.. so most places in the prime locations will be expensive. Room was small. . but i guess it can't be helped. Rooms were clean , location was great and the bartenders were awesome !
Perfect position”
I have stayed at the Strand Palace Hotel quite a few times and they have completely renovated the place. The rooms are slightly smaller but everything is bright and new. The staff are extremely helpful and polite. The position is perfect and the cost is very reasonable considering that it is so convenient.
A taste of british stay”
Entering the Strand Palace Hotel, I was treated like part of a royal family because the doorman greeted me as "Sir". (Can't deny that it is a pretty good feeling.) There are two sofas in the lobby, allowing me to sit there and wait for my friend. Checking into my room, everything looks perfect as the bed is comfortable and everything is reachable at waist level. The toilet is well-ventilated and the towel is placed on the heated racked. The hotel even provides the anti-slip mat. The only short-coming is that the toilet roll rack is too near the W.C. If you are right-handed, it will be a bit uncomfortable to sit still.
Excellent location, a good address for tourists”
A good address with an unbeatable location on the Strand, that would suit most tourist seeking value for money. Relatively big hotel; with lots of tourists. Clean room with simple amenities and quite small, but did the job. Friendly staff.
A fabulous stay with grest value for money!”
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Transport was convenient, close to shops and must see places. Room was clean and well equipped. Hallway walls were dirty and needing some fresh paint. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Staff were always attentive. We will be back.
Very Convenient ”
I was taking the Tube to Covent Garden and got off with a 21kg luggage. Turned out the long-waiting lift at the station as well as the pebble ground between the station and the hotel was very difficult for someone walking with heavy luggages. It was definitely good value of money - in case you expect your London trip to be about theatres, shopping, and good food. Especially in summer time, it was such a hot week for me and I am glad that I could always go back to the hotel to get changed after conferences/meetings before my night out. For such a price with a buffet breakfast included, it was really good deal (though it was renovating and you may see a lot of construction workers in the hotel). The staffs were not particularly friendly, well, not particularly arrogant or rude as well, plus the free Wifi connection, it was more than enough when you know people pay 3-5 times more staying at other hotel opposite of your hotel.
Great Hotel with nice service”
The hotel is very near train station and covert garden and Royal opera house. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. It is a good location for near river event where only few mins walk to the river. The higher floor have nice view of London. There might have some noise from the street. There is a restaurant in the hotel.
Great Location and really no frills...”
Fanstastic location to key city attraction. Quite easy to find from nearest tube station, hotel comes with a buzz and none of the low end budget hotel. Wireless access worked well and if you need to print something or access to a desk top, 3 terminals were available. Will consider returning in the future.
A great hotel in the heart of the Westend , great for theatres and Covent Garden . ”
location is it’s best bit followed by the sense of grandeur , some of our group stayed on the sixth floor that had obviously had some money spent compared to us on the third floor which was a little tired . Next doors plumbing was noisy . Breakfast was very good with a great selection . Overall very good .
Sangat Bagus”
A very well-located place, pretty central. Value for money, only thing is that the soundproofing is poor, you can hear doors getting slammed throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to consider again.
A little disappointed this visit”
The hotel is lovely, the location and value for money are excellent. But on this visit I was in room 118, when I opened the shutters, the windows were covered over with what appeared to be a white, plastic film. There's little enough natural light if you're in one of the interior rooms, this time I basically had no natural light in the room at all. The other issue I had was that although I left the room twice during the course of Saturday morning, both times for about an hour, and with housekeeping staff working in rooms either opposite or a few doors down, both times I returned to an uncleaned room. The first thing I do when I arrive on Friday is to take a shower after several hours travelling. On Saturday I'm generally going out to the theatre for the matinee and then an evening performance. I'd like clean towels for a shower before I go out and that can't happen if cleaning staff ignore my room. Perhaps having a 'Please make up my room' door hanger would help with this.
All staff went out of their way to be helpful. ”
Signage for room location could have been better. Access to lift for going down problematic. Could have done with air conditioning in the room. Cleaning of corridors could have been better, debris seen on Saturday still there on Sunday. These were small issues, overall enjoyed our stay catering excellent.
