Mũi Né hotels & places to stay

We loved our stay at Lotus Village! Lotus Village was recently bought over by new owners. They are very open to suggestions on how to improve their resort. They are training their staff to speak English so guests have a convenient stay. You can book tours from this hotel and they can arrange airport pick-ups for you. The rooms are big and beautiful with patios off the bedroom. Although you would assume getting an ocean-view would be best, we liked the Garden View rooms. It is much more private on the garden side - you can see in many of the room windows on the pool/ocean side. The only downside is you have to cross the street to get to the Garden Side. However, it is a very small street and there is a guard that helps you cross, if need be. We didn't mind. The food is hit or miss, but I think it's getting better. Order the fried spring rolls, best in Mui Ne. Breakfast is included and is a buffet of lots of tasty Vietnamese and Western choices. This resort is in a perfect location. If you stay right in the middle of the action, the beach is crowded and littered with kitesurfers. It makes it difficult to swim and relax. However, if you stay too far north, there is no beach in front of your resort. This resort is the last resort on the strip of beach, so it is tucked away but close enough to walk to beach restaurants. (When looking at the map, don't stay anymore North than this hotel if you'd like easy beach access). Overall, we loved our stay. Mui Ne is a small calm beach town with not much going on but worth a visit. Three-four days is enough. Enjoy your stay!

We arrived for a two night stay because we were a little unsure of the location of the hotel to mui ne but having found the place we booked for a further four nights and would have stayed longer but they were full up over the new year holiday . From the moment we arrived we were met by a very helpful porter who took us to our room and gave us the usual explanations,from this point on the hotel went out of their way to make it a most enjoyable holiday. The breakfast is more than acceptable and the poolside is outstanding,the location of the hotel is on the outskirts of mui ne but less than a twenty minute walk along the beach into town or else a two dollar taxi ride,the hotel even supplies free bicycles if you wish some exercise. The hotel just opened in August and are still maybe slightly light in staff especially at busy times but I am sure this will be sorted, overall we had a great time at the cliff,met some wonderful Vietnamese people and would recommend this hotel.

stayed there for a week in december before travelling to see the rest of vietnam. we came right after a crazy end-of-year spell at work and the hotel was perfect for quiet and comfortable relaxation. pool is pretty big and has a great sea view, beach is not hotel's property but the strip in front of the hotel is maintained slightly cleaner than the rest of the nearby area. rooms are nice, especially if you get ones overlooking the pool and the sea. food was great, although overpriced compared to restaurants out in the street, and breakfasts were definitely the best ones we had among 4 different hotels in vietnam with lots of fresh fruit and local specialties. staff was extremely helpful with decent english (by vietnamese standards); when we had health problems, a lady from reception even escorted us to the nearby clinic to help with translation. a word of caution on mui ne itself. the place is dominated by two types of crowds - 1) kite-surfers who come there for the strong winds and big waves, mostly young guys who look like patrik swayze in pointbreak movie and stay in small backpacker-type hotels, and 2)the russians who come on organized tours. being a russian myself, have to admit these are not the most sophisticated part of the population, so expect the worst of russian pop from the 90's in other hotels and typical street scenes you can encounter in all other russian-dominated resorts like turkey or egypt - drunk husband yelling at his wife and sun-burnt wife yelling at the kids, etc. so, mui ne is the place to go if you fall into these two categories above, otherwise, not sure if it's the best choice for beach vacation in vietnam. nevertheless, anantara clearly stands out among the other hotels we've seen around and would highly recommend it if you do end up going to mui ne.

Just got home from my Vietnam trip and I'm already missing Pandanus! My friend and I wanted a little taste of resort life (a type of holiday neither of us had had before) and this was just perfect. The pool and beach were glorious and our bungalow was everything we had hoped for. We had a wonderful five days lounging around, getting massages and drinking cocktails, and could have happily stayed another five! Pandanus is quite removed from the main part of Mui Ne, which we liked for the quiet, but if you want to party it up it's really not the place for you. Taxis in Mui Ne are EXPENSIVE! For a sleepy, chilled out experience though this is the best. The main thing we loved here were the amazing staff members -- just so friendly and helpful! We particularly appreciated Le Van Du in the restaurant and Quoc at the bar, and without fail every person there was smiley, kind and approachable and just made our stay so enjoyable. Can't wait to go back someday!

Wow! In summary, private beach, quiet location, great prices, amazingly large beautifully decorated bungalows, beautiful gardens, free shuttle but into town, free delicious breakfast, free afternoon tea/coffee and cake, pool bar happy hour, fresh seafood for around 100,000dong/kg., beautiful night lights of the fishing boats on the sea, all in all the most perfect holiday we have ever been on! We were after a relaxing, private beach holiday with amazing seafood at a good price and we got it all at this resort. We stayed in a garden bungalow, it was not advertising "ocean views" but it had them anyway. You could hear the ocean from our bed too. We started our day with amazing breakfast with two hot breakfast chefs and a range of hot and cold meats, fruits, breads etc. We then could walk about 10meters to the beach which is private, as it is the beach around the point to the busy touristy main Mui Ne beach. It is much cleaner than that beach too. The only people on the beach were the resort guests (about 20 people while we were there!) The resort provides two free shuttles a day into the main tourist strip and to the main town of Phan Thiet. We hired a scooter in Mui Ne for 400,000 dong for 4 days so we could easily scoot around. Free secure parking at the resort was great. Every afternoon they provided free afternoon tea with cakes by the pool (which had amazing ocean views) Then happy hour at the pool bar, then off to the garden restaurant for amazing fresh seafood cooked by a chef on the nearby bbq. We then could wander back to the pool or beach to enjoy watching the fishermen on the water then back to the bungalow to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Amazing!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Terracotta Resort for 4 nights (July 2012). We had a lovely time: very relaxing indeed. We stayed at a Bungalow Superior Garden View room which was very private. The pros of this hotel are: rooms are very clean and made up everyday as new; poolside lounges and view of the beach is probably the best on the Mui Ne strip; breakfast selection is incredible; resort gardens are very well tended to and beautiful. The cons: lunch and dinner menus are rudimentary so it's better to eat at the on-street restaurants which is fine but not when you just feel like staying in; whilst there is free wi-fi they only have two computers which is not enough for their guests, expect to wait long periods to use one; the drinks served from the bar at poolside are expensive.

The Mia was the best experience we found hands down during our stay in Vietnam. Every detail was perfect from the room to the staff to breakfast and everything in betweeen. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We spent our first nights in Mui Ne at a place that cost half as much, but the Mia was 1000x better. Our impression was that the mid range hotels in Mui Ne were not really worth it. Either go cheap, or splurge and stay at the Mia, it's absolutely worth it. Everything was perfect.

when we arrived we were met by friendly smiling faces and welcoming drinks,staff carried our luggage and showed us to the room. they don't know much english but they try their hardest to understand and help you with whatever you need. they really look after every little space in the hotel,there's always someone asking if you need anything,the pool is lovely,on their private beach there was a beach volley ball court which was great for us. their restaurant is lovely and they give amazing service and great food. we stayed for three nights in a lovely premier deluxe room at allezboo and after that we wanted to try another hotel which was closer to mui ne village but this was not so nice at all.. so we went back to allezboo for our last couple of nights in mui ne,when we came back they greeted us sincerly,recognized us and upgraded us to a gorgeous svit with large king size bed,kitchen,seeting area,large bathroom and lovely terrace! we recomend any couple or group of friends to stay here!

We used to enjoy ourselves in the resorts near the beach every time we visit Mui Ne. This time we wanted something different and Sea Links is just that. The Villas are spacious and clean and we have everything we would need for our stay. The area was very quiet and such a great retreat from our normal busy daily life in Saigon. I would recommend this place for anyone who reagularly visit Mui Ne. Great trip and thank you!!

The hotel is located at the centre of the fun part of mui ne. Bus from ho chi ming city will drop you directly at the resort. Beach, bar local tour operators are all at the walking distance. Staff are very good and highly coperative. Price is cheap comoared to other hotel. If you not able to book online they still have some room reserved for walking guest. Best of luck enjoy mui ne.

We loved our three nights at Villa Aria. Definitely one of the best hotels in mui ne. Villa Aria is a small boutique beach side hotel with all rooms between the roadside reception and the beach. Our room was huge, with a fab bathroom that included a walk in shower with a monsoon shower head. We had a first floor room which had a balcony overlooking the garden. Fab for waking up in the morning and reading in the comfy lounge chairs before heading to breakfast. You have everything you can possibly need at this hotel and you can simply sit back and relax. We will definitely be back!

Good location with private beach. I donnt its period problem or not, the beach not so clean, actual all mui ne beach is not clean. But the hotel scene is good. I like excellent breakfast, a lot of choice and delicious. Hotel can book sunrise package and cheap. But the wifi is a little unstable, if they can solve this problem, that should be excellent. One in word, I will stay again if possible.

We had a realy great room, nice decor, very specious, view on the ocean and the pool. The on-site restaurant is good, although not many people use it except for breakfast, which is a pity. We also tried famous 'the Sandals' and to be honest it was not that much better. The location is good - next to the beach. It is far away from the main Mui Ne part, but thit is not that important, as there is nothing in Mui Ne appart from the sea and the beach. My recommendation to the owners - creat nice beach bar - it will be the bbest evening attraction around - take a closer look at the performance of your cleaning staff - first night they knocked on our door at 9 asking if they can start cleaning, as if they coud not wait for as to leave for breakfast.

Unique Mui Ne is a modern designed, yet highly comfortable resort hotel located on prime beachfront property in Mui Ne. With large, clean modern rooms that feature bathrooms with lovely amenities and a large balcony to absorb memorable sunsets with ocean views, at times, it can seem like a challenge to leave the comfort of your room. Yet leaving your room at Unique may just be the best advice one can give to take advantage of the wonderful beachfront pool and deck after a few hours of kitesurfing lessons, bodysurfing, a jog on the beach, a memorable meal with good friends or even an adventurous scooter ride to the red or white dunes down the road. Oh, you want to rent a scooter? The staff will sort that out for you. Looking for a cool spot to mingle with some foreigners in the evening; they know the spots too. With a lovely new rooftop panoramic bar opening soon, I can only imagine that the Unique will soon be one of the more sought after destinations in Mui Ne for the cooler traveler in the know. My group and I were able to have the pleasure to experience a sunset watching moment with the management on that rooftop on our visit while enjoying some cool lounge music with an unmatched view and vibe. Ultimately, what made our stay at Unique was the personal service. We felt like family from the moment we stepped in until the moment we left. If you're going to Mui Ne and like to check your ego at the door so that you can have time for your journey without a worry in the world... you might have just found the right spot.

Though situated a bit further away from the beach on a hillside, the hotel is actual a great place to relax. Nice view from the lobby of the Mui Ne Bay. Four good sized swimming pools and plenty of chairs on the poolside. This is exactly what we wanted, a quite to enjoy the sunshine and water. The beach is not that far either, a free golf cart service takes you there in a few minutes. But the beaches in Mui Ne are not the same quality as in Nha Trang or Da Nang. People get here more for the watersports. Food is inexpensive and ok. But the restaurants are always empty except for the free breakfast buffet time, not sure why.

we spend 5 crazy days at full moon village, located between the white sand dunes and crowded mui ne, we had enjoy of a really more quiet place but really near the mui ne center by moto that you can rent to the hotel, hotel can offer a lots of services like to lend you wind surf, padle paddle , body board to you etc... we had a really noce contact with staff they want to satisfy you as much as they can. the landlord is a french man he have 2 hotels in mui ne and a famous bar "jibe's" , he is totally in love with mui ne , he's a nice guy also. i want to go back again, you can go couple, familly friends whatever...so cool

The staff are really nice and wouldn't do enough for us. We stayed in a bungalow very close to the beach (25 metres) and the room was really comfortable. The bathroom is partly open to the roof and this is where the shower is; it was a really nice feature. The balcony is really nice too, quiet and secluded so you can have a beer in the evening. The pool area isn't big, but there are plenty of sun loungers (we never struggled to get one in the shade) and the water was warm. Part of the pool was always in the shade, which was great for the kids. The lunch was also very good and fresh food. We ate there as the kids were in the pool and it wan convenient. Prices of food (@80,000 for a main course) and beer (@20,000 for a bottle) were excellent. In the evenings we ate out as there are plenty of other options in Mui Ne. The breakfast was also superb and was replenished really quickly and was very fresh - plenty to eat!! We will definitely stay here again next time we go to Mui Ne. Thanks!

We were a bit unfortunate when we arrived the hotel since we were having diarrhea. And the sickness made us very much hotel bond. Hence we really love the swimming pool and the beach in front of the hotel. The hotel is located kind of out of town, where it provides shuttle service to the town of Mui Ne (but time is not so frequent). You can get some supplies (water, beer) from Mui Ne and then enjoy them in the hotel, at the beach. :) Overall, it is a great hotel.

this location is right at the bus stop so you couldn't get a more convenient place to be dropped off. the gauntlet of eager mui ne motorcycle taxis step aside when they hear you're staying at the tien dat. resort is also located at a good spot on the beach, many local restaurants and tour agencies are within immediate area. tien dat resort is split over both sides of main road through mui ne. that is one part of the resort is beachside, the other is hillside (with a view of the beach). not aware of this, we initially booked a cheaper room and found ourselves up on the hillside. we stayed two nights on hillside and upgraded to beachside for our last night (just for comparison - not due to dissatisfaction). the beachside complex attracts more guests and is therefore a bit noisier, pool/side is bit more crowded and staff have to tend to more guests and are busier. hillside location offered more serenity as fewer guests. often had pool to ourselves, and staff were able to offer more time and assistance when fulfilling our requests. the breakfast and service offered at this place is excellent. breakfast is a diverse buffet served in an ambient and boutique restaurant with views of garden and entertaining street activity. our travel companions staying at another nearby beachside resort (paying similar to our agoda price) were allowed to choose two of toast, muffin or fruit as their breakfast menu. will choose tien dat again if we return to mui ne.

Mui Ne was the third stop and highlight for my wife and I this Vietnam trip, and Sunsea Resort was one of the highlights during our stay in Mui Ne. The boutique resort is located on the main road in Mui Ne and has tons of convenient stores, restaurants and fruit stands around it. Although situated on the main road, it is extremely quiet and feels very secluded once you entered the resort. We booked the pool access room and it was so quiet and relaxing. Since it’s a boutique hotel there were not a lot of guests and we frequently had the pool to ourselves. One night we were even swimming while watching the stars in the sky. In the back of the resort there is a bigger pool and direct entrance to the private beach, where you could sunbath and watch the kite surfers do crazy stunts. The hotel staff were very friendly and Jub (not sure if I’m spelling her name correctly) even helped us booked the private Jeep tour to the dunes, fishing village and fairy stream. The driver picked us up in the morning and we had a great time and we paid the driver directly and the price was a lot cheaper than we were quoted elsewhere. We were also able to order two dozen organic oysters at the resort (24 hrs ahead) which were very fresh and tasty, for a very very reasonable price (considering my wife and I were comparing local market prices in Canada and Australia). The resort was very clean and provided oversized thick towels to keep us dry and warm after a dip in the pools or in the ocean. Botanica Spa which is apparently the top rated spa in Mui Ne on TA is right across the street from the resort, we tried the foot massage and both fell asleep. Breakfast that were included in our booking was amazing too, with variety choices and western and Vietnamese, we had to cancel the pancakes the first day because we got so full after eating the first few items. We could literally spend all day at the resort. Although this was not honeymoon for my wife and I, but we certainly felt like it was one!

Ananda Resort was an excellent affordably priced hotel for our stay in Mui Ne. It is centrally located nestled between a number of bigger resort hotels (convenient for lunch). The room is a small bungalow with a table and chairs outside, a cold shower bathroom, stocked refrigerator, TV and A/C. An extra bed is available on request. Our room had direct access to the pool with a picturesque view across to the beach and ocean. Being adjacent to the restaurant suited our early riser lifestyle. Those who enjoy sleeping in of a morning should book a garden view room a little further back. The buffet breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of options available to suit most tastes. They have great coffee and an egg station along with pancakes, fruits, salad, noodle soups, hams and local pastries. A toaster would be a welcome addition in place of the small oven toaster. We would happily return to Ananda on our next trip to Mui Ne.

My wife and I enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Cham Villas. The bungalow we had was right next to the beach and was clean, cozy, and well-appointed. Unlike many of the other "resorts" in Muy Ne, Cham Villas has its own beach; not only that, but it is kept meticulously clean, and furnished with comfortable chaise lounges. The bar on the beach is somewhat expensive (compared with prices outside the resort), but the drinks are perfectly made and the service is attentive -- so the price is worth the luxury! The grounds of the resort are immaculately maintained, all the staff are delightfully friendly. I think one of the things we appreciated most was that it was *quiet*, so we got some much-needed rest. Muy Ne is not like other resort communities in Vietnam, so you're not going to find much to do outside the walls of the resort. The food at some of the nearby restaurants is good and fairly cheap, though. We liked the slower pace of life there.

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel. The room that we had (room 7) is clean, comfortable and spacious. All the staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Breakfast is a choice of Vietnamese noodles or the standard bread, butter, jam, eggs, bacon, juices, coffee, etc. Binh helped us to arrange a jeep tour to the sand dunes, fishing village and fairy stream on our arrival. This hotel is on the main road in Mui Ne and there are restaurants on both the left and right of the hotel. Bo Ke (BBQ) restaurants are easy few minutes walk away. There are also few massage places nearby. We would return to this hotel if we are in Mui Ne again

We had an excellent experience at the resort. Our room was excellent. The beach outside the resort was nice and the pool was awesome. The free breakfast was good too! The staff was friendly and helpful. "A+" to the resort. "D" to Mui Ne. The beaches outside the confines of the resort were dirty and littered with trash. The village lacked things to do besides eat, drink and sleep. We decided we loved the resort the first day and didn't leave until we departed Mui Ne. We gave it a good rating on this app because, yes, it's in a good location in Mui Ne. But Mui Ne itself is not a good location to visit. Go to Hoi an or Da Nang! So much better!

The hotel itself is as on the photos, gorgeous gardens, big swimming pool and another smaller, pool bar, really nice front desk. Staff was helpful too although we were first told there is no scan and I can only send a quite pricey fax to Poland, when it turned out that the fax doesnt work another employee suggested using the scan ;-). We didn't have wifi in the room or around the swimming pool, only in the reception desk area and at the breakfast. The breakfast was really good. The hotel is packed with Russians, as entire Mui Ne which didnt disturb us much except that they get up very early and book all sunbeds around the pool, at the beach and on the grass around which makes it really difficult to find one. The location of the hotel is good but not the best. All hotels in Mui Ne are at the seaside, but some of them are in the middle of the town which makes the distances shorter. This is not the case of Sea Lion. But as the weather is great it's not a big deal to have a walk wherever you need to go. The hotels in Mui Ne are more expensive than anywhere in Vietnam, so I'd say it's still worth its price.
