Wonderful stay”
Treated so well it was like i had been adopted. The owners and staff are so kind. Good breakfast pancakes. Rooms are clean. Good A/C. Tucked away along a path. Yes u have to walk but welcome to the magical world of Ubud. At night make sure the light on your phone works. Location is really good and peaceful at night. Excellent value for money

Nice locación but difficult to find ”
The path is very narrow without illumination. Nice staff and owner attentive. Love the pancakes but would suggest different options, specially when you stay more than one night.

More than a guesthouse...”
Location. Mulawarman Family and Ibu's Pancakes, The accommodation.
I've traveled quite a lot in my life but I can say it was the first time I really felt like I was at home. Moma Ibu is an extraordinary woman with a huge heart that would do anything to accommodate you and make you happy, plus her famous green banana pancake is to die for and the best I had in all south east Asia!;-) she also cooked for all of us local balinese recepies at no extra cost and again, it was the best balinese food I had during my stay. Location is spectacular, even though is only 5 min away walking from one of the busiest streets, and near by cafes and everything you can possibly need, the guesthouse is a gem in the jungle, balcony overviewing the rice paddies and the tranquility at either day and night that you can't beat. Rooms are also spacious and very bright especially the one at the second floor with the balcony, and with a gracious, fresh-local stlyle decor. I loved every second of it and can't wait to go back! Matur suksma MulaWarman 🙏 Chiara

Hospitality that's warmer than the Bali sun”
Hospitality and local knowledge, Room 3 with beautiful views of the forest and sky, the Balinese cuisine
I arrived at the airport greeted by Ibu Wayan and her husband Bapak Nyoman, and immediately we connected. Ibu is multi-lingual and fluent in English. Its best to pre-arrange pick-up as the airport is about 2 hours away from town. My room was spacious with full amenities - aircond, ceiling fan, big windows everywhere. There was also a beautiful big bath to soak in after a long day of walking. Unfortunately, wifi wasn't working when I was there, but Ibu will guide you with getting a cheap local sim, with mobile internet that's useful for short trips. Location is in the heart of town, however, to get to acc, there is a 5-10 min walk up a dirt road and then along a narrow path alongside a little river at the base of sprawling padi fields and some major constructions works. Bring a torchlight or ask Ibu for one. In fact, ask Ibu for any help, and she'll go out of the way for you - seriously. Ibu Wayan and her family have very big hearts. Ibu's knowledge and skill at Balinese cooking is extraordinary. Breakfast can range from her special green pandan pancakes or eggs and fruit and coffee. Dinner is also by request. The food she made is beautiful. What's special about Mulawarman is that the stay is filled with a lot of love and generosity. Ibu can also arrange for a driver for you for a tour, and has very insightful knowledge about local tours and sights to see, and is a great guide to finding out about Ubud and Balinese culture. I left feeling like I have a second mother and second home. My first trip to Bali, and to Indonesia. And I travelled solo.

Not an ideal place to stay ”
Calm environment
We have stayed two nights in this guesthouse. No wifi, and no essentials such as toilet rolls, shampoo or soap. The main issue is the entrance, which is basically an alleyway. You have to carry all your baggages through this to get to the guesthouse (200m). Alleyway without streetlights..

Great staff”
Good location, great staff
Location is great except the road access is not quite developed, a bit hard for us carrying suitcases. Staff were great! The owner cooked us a nice pancake for breakfast. I left my glasses on the bed and they kept them for me to get back the next day. Felt thankful and would definitely get back there again if we visit Bali.

Comfortable Stay in Campuhan”
Cleanliness, Size, Location
It was underrated for rooms that are big and level of cleanliness. Very comfortable. Location is a bit tucked in, though it is actually in Campuhan, pretty central and surrounded by beautiful rice fields. Entrance goes through alleyways which might be uncomfortable for foreigners but keep in mind that that's the original Balinese style living.

It is complicated!”
Location, Environment, Staff
I have mixed feeling regarding this guesthouse. This is really a great place in terms of location, price and experience you can get. It is roughly 10 mins away(walking) from the central area of Ubud and surprisingly at the same time, the serenity in the surrounding. Well, there are events destined to spice up your trip. It was abt 830pm at night, after a bit of struggling, we finally found that last piece of signboard leads you to the destination which is located at the leg level. Having entered the guesthouse excitedly, we found ourselves in a place with nobody without any instruction to check in. Failing to contact the owner, we decided to look for another place to stay and get some food. Fortunately, a staff arrived at the place the next morning. We managed to stay for one night and get refunded for the other night. The owner is a kind and warm, we had a great chat with her. Overall, the experience is pleasant, I think this is a great place worth visiting. However,I strongly advise people to check in earlier, during day time is better. You car won't reach the door of the guesthouse, you will have to walk on a well-built pavement next to a river. Importantly, the critical signboard is interestingly placed and tricky to find at night.

3xDisapointment for 4D3N”
Location is near shopping belt
Requested and received email confirmation for airport transfer yet no sign of anyone after an hour wait. Took us quite awhile to locate Guesthouse as was pointed the opposite direction by taxi driver who told us to alight after speaking with Guesthouse staff for direction. A nice local lady allowed us to exit from her backyard to reach the Guesthouse instead of going round the padi fields. Booked and given Jungle view room 7. Generally clean, however, dim lights in the room. Poor drainage system thus floods each time we had shower. Met Mdm Wayan the next morning and she's apologetic about airport transfer incident and offered us a room upgrade. She suggested for us to pack our bags so that her staff can help to transfer to the new room when it’s ready. Thus, we hurriedly packed our things before leaving the guesthouse. When we return in the evening, the staff handed us the room 7 key. The staff was not able to understand when asked about the arrangement of upgrade. The next morning, we left the guesthouse early without breakfast for cycling and rafting. We met Mdm Wayan while waiting for our transport and she told her staff has shifted all our things to Terrace view room 2. When we return in the night, we are surprise that the staff have managed to transfer everything to the new room and placed them neatly. The room is much spacious than before but to our big disappointment, there is no hot water for the shower. Our Bali trip could have been more enjoyable if not for the incidents at the guesthouse. In spite of all this, the guesthouse is located near the shopping belt. Do bring along a strong torch light to shine your way when you return to the guesthouse in the night as there’s no street lights along the way.
