Fabulous place to stay!”
We spent 6 nights here and would have loved to have stayed forever! The view from our room was amazing (overlooking rice paddies) and we enjoyed the sounds of the local wildlife. The fact this guesthouse only has 4 rooms ensures a peaceful, relaxing stay. Room and bathroom was large and clean (with a comfy king sized bed), aircon and hot water worked great. The room did not have fridge or kettle (you can hire a fridge for a small additional daily charge) however this was not an issue as cold water and coffee/tea could be purchased from the restaurant at cheap prices. Great choice for breakfast (included) and it was the best we’ve had in Bali so far! Although we only ate breakfast here the onsite restaurant also offered a variety of dishes for lunch/dinner at reasonable prices. Internet worked great the whole time we were there! Staff were friendly and could help you arrange anything you needed. Pricing for tours and scooter hire was on par with what you would pay on the street – which was refreshing as most hotels mark up the prices for these services. The information booklet in each room was a great little touch to let you know what was available in Lovina. The guesthouse is located 5 minutes walk to the beach and about a 5 minute scooter ride to central Lovina. Overall we loved this place and will definitely be returning on our next stay in Lovina.

highly recommended”
highly recommended for both couples and families with children, not so much for solo travellers, though, as the place is quite small (4 rooms only) and it'll be difficult to make friends as the hotel is quite isolated. One important point: you'll need to have your own transport to access things if you stay in this hotel: it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere, on the outskirts of Lovina far from the main beach, the place nearby is just a fishing village, not much it terms of dining, too. We rented a motorbike on the first day there (just 4USD per day) and then enjoyed ourselves to the full because in all other respects the Mumbul guesthouse is a great choice (great big clean room with all necessary furniture and equipment, nice open bathroom, pleasant restaurant, very attentive staff, they clean rooms every day really well, green area, beautiful location, etc.). Make sure you read the information in a file in your room: they give lots of ideas on what to do / see in the area and can arrange excursions for you at a reasonable price, too.

If you must stay in Lovina, then you must stay here.”
This was way more luxury than we were expecting, especially for the price. I don't even have words to describe how amazing the staff are here. Right from the beginning when Amanda (the owner) checked us in, she gave us all kinds of information as well as directing us to a packet in each room with all kinds of helpful hints and insight on the area. She offered to arrange a motorbike rental for us if we needed (which we did) and it was only 50,000 IDR a day (about 125 THB which is the currency I typically deal with). Mumbul is very conveniently located pretty much next door to the Perama Tours office which is the shuttle service we had used to get from Kuta to Lovina. This was a complete coincidence, but a welcome one after driving for 4 hours... It is very much low season right now in north Bali, so it was very quiet. I mean really, really quiet. In our 4 day stay, only three other parties of guests checked in and out of the hotel. I don't think there were more than 2 parties of guests there the whole time. But it was just the kind of rest we needed. Relaxing rain, beautiful views over the green rice fields, and great night's sleep. The room was huge with a dramatically peaked ceiling, massive bathroom with open shower area, wardrobe, chairs, television, cable, and a DVD player. Oh yeah, there were two twin beds also. The only thing I can saw negatively about the room is that it has really inadequate light. Even when we used the table lamp between the beds, it was so dim in the room that it almost strained the eyes. And because of the porch cover and greenery, day light doesn't help much either. The bathroom was well lit, however. We were quite glad of the DVD player because it pretty much chucked it down off and on the entire time we were there. They have a huge collection of DVDs in the dining room area. The staff who work there are so incredible. No matter what time of day or night, there is someone you can find to help you out. Usually there

Fantastic Place to Stay”
We stayed two weeks ago in Mumbul and our family has been talking about it ever since, wishing all places in Bali in our price range were as luxurious. We booked the regular family room and it had two twin beds and one large one. The room size was huge with a love seat and chair as well as a television with tons of movies to watch. Very nice with kids. They also enjoyed the pool. Oh! And the internet was the fastest we've experienced in six months traveling SE Asia. What a treat! Overall, the week spent here was great. The owners were beyond friendly and helpful and the staff were as well. The breakfast was delicious, the coffee perfection, and the view out of the restaurant overlooking the ricefield magnificent. We made the mistake of not booking a few more days, but moved on. Wish we hadn't as the next town felt like a waste of time and money after the week we'd had. Thank you so much Mumbul!

Off the beaten track”
Very relaxing, in an out of the way location. Nice to get away from the tourist areas and experience another part of Bali. You'll need a car or bike, so if your on the road travelling Mumbul is great place to stop and recharge the batteries. Great value for money which includes breakfast. I highly recommend Mumbul. But remember it is not 5 star and you get what you pay for. Personally I could not fault Mumbul.

Nice! Nice! Nice! ”
First thing about this hotel that catch my eyes is the fact that the price they charge for a room with air con and hot water is very very reasonable price, i will not say it is cheap, not at all , but it's reasonable for backpackers who travel by bus, because they are located 3 minutes away from the bus station where if you pick another cheaper hotel on the list, you would have to pay for the transportation from the bus station to the hotel and you end up spending about the same amount of money you spend to sleep in Mumbul guest House, not to mention when you arrive in the guest house you will sleep in a more than comfortable room with air con! you should definitely stay at mumbul guest house when you visit lovina.

Lovely place”
We stayed for 2 nights. Location is about 5-10 mins drive from main Lovina beach area. rooms are so spacious and very clean, cleaned everyday too. Pool is great! We didn't know but there is also a resturaunt on site- such good food! There is one staff member here who really helped us a lot, did our washing and cooked and helped us hire a bike! He was so helpful. Can't remember his name now. A lot of bugs/lizards in the room but this can't be helped due to the country we are in! We had a great stay :)

quiet, beautiful rice field view, clean”
Very quiet and nice gardens, friendly staff, beautiful view towards the rice fields. The night we arrived, there was some religious rituals going on nearby. Could hear beautiful ancient singing. Very nice. A little bit off the center, but the hotel has cars to the center. Also convenient by motorcycle. They have good trips around lovina. Have a small restaurant, but a bit slow since there's only one cook. Friendly staff. Good value for money. Nice dog.

Really lovely place, the room was decent and spacious also the bathroom was really spacious. Nice little spot in front of the bungalow to sit with a view to the rice field. The pool area was really great! Delicious breakfast! The guesthouse restaurant was too expensive though.

Lovely property everything was perfect”
Beautiful room overlooking padi fields with Mount Batu Karu on the left and the Anturan coast on the right. We had the upper rooms of the furthest most duplex with a double bed on both floors. A bit hair raising as we had young ones as the spiral stair has barely any balustrades. But we survived and were rewarded with the most beautiful views every day. Pak Tuyeng and Ibu Widi were super helpful. The food is smashing, especially the jaffles and mie goreng. There are charming village roads to wander in and the Anturan beach is a short walk away. There is a calm yoga or meditation shelter by the rice field and it was all in a very calm and relaxing visit. The pool is the bright size for cooling off in and is clean.

OK Stay”
Pros: Rooms are spacious Bathrooms are big Hot water available all the time Nice swimming pool Next to the beautful rice field Close to Perama bus stand Staff are good Cons: One AC is not enough for such a big room (Probably stay will be good when the temperature is low) Breakfast is limited and not much choice available Hotel menu for the food is too expensive No good restaurants nearby A bit far away from main Lovina beach

Pleasant stay in a nice and quiet surrounding”
We enjoyed our staying! The owner has a nice dog and a beautiful puppy! The location can be the only one problematic thing for travelers without own transport, as this hotel is located quit remotely from the center of Lovina.

Oasis”
Not our favorite town we've stayed in, but it was refreshing to return to this green calm oasis after being out in the busy city. The pool was great and staff was attentive. Wouldn't stay here without my own transport, though! On a scooter, it's a super quick trip to the beach and shops and a short drive to explore rice fields and waterfalls.

An Awkward Start”
Our arrival at the hotel felt most unwelcoming. A few Balinese men were sitting around the restaurant area - smoking, on phones, playing internet games - we couldn't tell if they were staff or not as there were no introductions. We found a person sleeping in the pool lounge mattress area, so felt we couldn't take one. When we finally got into the pool, a stranger arrived and interrupted us to try to rent us a bike etc. When we got into our bungalow, workers sat on our outdoor seats, smoked nearby and gave us no privacy. Not a good start. Once we talked to the manager about this, things gradually began to change and we enjoyed our stay. We visited off-peak, so the value for money was good. Our bungalow was fine and fully equipped with geckos, which was fun!. All bungalows face a beautiful rice field – spectacular sunsets at night! The included breakfast was nice - a choice of four options, plus good service a staff member. A nice place to sit and relax, too. Otherwise, we chose not to eat at Mumbul, because they were really overpriced compared to the local area. The internet was not good in our room – it hardly worked - even though this was advertised. It worked best near the pool. The local area is full of dumped garbage – quite a shock on arrival to go through this to get to Mumbul, but once inside the atmosphere is relaxing. 5 minute’s walk away, there are several inexpensive warungs. There is also one at the end of the street.

Nice, but no beach”
I had a very nice stay, the beaches nearby were dirty,a fishing village streached a mile in each direction and was full of trash. The owners of the hotel were VERY nice and helpful in all that I asked. It's a peaceful place to stay, I'd likely go back again.
