Best location: Shibuya Station, Shibuya shopping district, Grilled Cheese Restaurant, LIFE supermarket, 7-11, Lawson, Post Office. All within reasonable walking distances. 24 hour reception. Very helpful and friendly staff. Elevator access to the different floors. Shared bathrooms and showers: Private shower stalls and bathroom stalls. I can only speak for the female bathrooms/showers, apart from the guests leaving their hairs everywhere, the staff try to keep the place as clean as possible. Twin room: For the most part, not much noise pollution. You might be able to hear people as they pass by the door, but otherwise you can't hear the other guests. Don't expect to have too much room to work with, but with proper organization, it's manageable. Sufficient number of electrical outlets to charge up your electronics. Full length mirror and mirror at the sink available.

Great Hotel and AMAZING staff!!!”
My partner and I stayed here for 8 nights and we loved it. The room and facilities were clean and well kept. At one point my partner left his brand new phone (Which he had just paid $1200 for)in a taxi. The staff helped us get in contact with the cab company and luckily we got the phone back! The cleaning staff were also extremely kind. The food in the restaurant was lovely. The price of the hotel makes it even better- its hard to find cheap but still GOOD accomodation in Japan. We honestly had a great overall stay and know we will be back again the next time we visit Japan! A big THANK YOU to all the staff at the Mustard Hotel.

Great, hip location on new redeveloped section of old railway and canal, close to Shibuya, the “high-line”/log road, Daikanyama and Nakameguro. Staff were lovely and spoke perfect English, the breakfast was very high quality in a very cool cafe/bar area and the rooms were stylish, clean and had all you needed. A free smartphone was included with the room which was very useful. Great prices too.

Good location. Walking distance to Shibuya Station, Lawson, 7-11, LIFE grocery store, post office, Shibuya shopping district, and awesome grilled cheese joint. 24 hour reception, very helpful staff. Very clean with the exception of female guests leaving hair in the shared bathroom/shower area. Private shower stalls and toilet stalls. Elevator access to rooms. Rooms are very small. Not much space to walk around. Other than the issue of limited space, very good location.

We loved our stay”
For its price, we were happy with the rooms and with the free breakfast coupons they provided. It was yummy too. The walk to Shibuya is not so far - about 10 - 15 minutes. This hostel is the cheapest that we could find for our budget but it did not fail us. I booked 3 rooms and the superior rooms were good enough for a family with 2 kids. The staff were also nice, they were willing to accommodate our Luggages as we needed to go to USJ for a night. Overall I recommend Mustard Shibuya. It was super accessible. :)

15 mins walk from train stn. Place is clean, staff speaks excellent English, towel and slippers are provided. 700 yen meal voucher given upon check in that can be used for cafe downstairs or curry rice shop 20m away. Enjoyed my stay. Will recommend

Hipster hotel in excellent location ”
This is a very charming little hotel right off the heart of Shibuya. You’re a 5-minute work to the train station and the famous crossing, but removed from the noise and hustle and bustle. The New York subway aesthetic is very cute, especially in the little attached cafe, Megan. Bookings come with a ¥700 meal voucher for each morning, which covers most of the basic breakfast items and a coffee there, and it’s a great option for breakfast considering most other places aren’t open until 10. The rooms are sparse but satisfactory, though a bit cramped, and the bathrooms could be cleaner.

Worth every cent that I spent. Restrooms were clean, Rooms were cold (which I like), and the location is just few minutes away from train station. Would definitely stay here again when I go back to Tokyo.

The one night I stayed was great. The Staff are lovely and kind. It rained the next day and they lent me an umbrella for the day. They allowed me to leave my bag locked-up while I went into the city. The breakfast was good. The rooms are clean. They each have an electrical outlet and privacy curtains. There is a common space on the 7th floor. They have vending machines for drinks. The first floor has a restaurant called Megan.

I stayed with my three years old daughter on one bed. It was cheap and all we need is a bed to stay. It is perfect if your little kiddo can keep quiet. The breakfast is delicious and is included in the room price though you have to pay extra 300~500yen if you would like to have a richer breakfast.

Really great facility and location, especially for the cost! My partner and I had a great stay in one of the private double rooms. Please be aware that the hallway is fairly bright so be prepared if you need to run to the rest room in the middle of the night. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo!

Very Cool Hotel”
The design is what interested me most when looking up Mustard Hotel and it did not disappoint! Very cool and modern. The location is pretty much exactly in between Ebisu and Shibuya stations, they were each about a ten minute walk away. There are other cute restaurants right in the Shibuya bridge area, as well as a cute park with community gardens! Definitely worth staying at least one night for the experience. My fiancé and I didn’t have any issues with light seeping in from the hallway as other reviews have said, but it definitely is bright while you’re walking to your room!

Everywhere is clean and comfortable. Entrance staff are so friendly. staff in cafe are nice but some people could be more friendly. Hopefully there will be bigger shelf in each shower room. but so far I havent stayed better hostel than here. Totally recommend this hostel.

I had the room with the twin bunk beds right next to the toilet. The beds were so comfy and the rooms were noise proof. They have breakfast coupons to dine at the at hotel restaurant and they served good food! Only bad thing is the hotel is a little far from the train station (depending on which shibuya lines you were intending to take).

We had a very relaxing stay at the Mustard Hotel in Shibuya. The staff and facilities were terrific. The mens bathroom on the 2nd floor could be cleaned to a slightly better standard. But our bedrooms,sheets and towels were great. The Megan cafe downstairs has a good menu to suit all. The hotel is close to the New South Gate at Shibuya Station where you catch the Narita Express, excellent for the weary traveler. Thank you Mustard Hotel Shibuya
