"I love this little gem, however on this occasion I had a small bedroom with single bed, which was perfectly OK for my stay."

excellent location”
If you've planned for Covent Garden/The British Museum then Myhotel Bloomsbury is the place for you. It's a 7 min walk from the Metro station and on your way to your hotel, there are numerous shops and eateries readily available nearby. The hotel was clean and had a very nice location, because its a nice 10 minute walk to the British Museum and Covent Garden.
Great central location, good choice, lovely staff”
I was pleasantly surprised by Myhotel. It isn't luxury or flashy (which "boutique" sometimes suggests) but it is decent and lacks the bland boringness of so many hotels. The location in London is super-central, almost couldn't be better - walking distance from so many central sights - Soho, Regents Park, British Museum, Oxford Street, Covent Garden. The rooms are small, but not ridiculously so (avoid the singles, they are tiny). All the staff were friendly and helpful. and they have an independent cafe on the ground floor which do their breakfasts, much nicer than the standard hotel fare. I'd stay here again for a good stopover place in London.
SUPERB boutique hotel at BEST location”
I know London inside out having lived there for ~20 years, and I would say this hotel is very well-located - just a very short walk from a tube station. (There are many hotels on the west side around South Kensington/Hyde Park, but really this is much more conveniently-located for Central London activities.) Another good thing about this hotel is the fact that, it is modern (many 3-4 stars hotels are have very dated decoration and facilities in London), clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. For the price I paid, this hotel is very outstanding.
Value for money! ”
I had read staff were not helpful I beg to differ! I emailed to request a change of room on arrival checked in quickly and left cases in reception as arrived early and we went out. Our room had been upgraded as requested . 221 a twin very very quiet ! Beds really comfortable ordered extra milk no problem. GAIL'S RESTAURANT EXCELLENT! Check out was quick and no charge for change of booking. Stayed only one night while in London and would short stay again. Great value as out all day and we did not need any "holiday" facilities while in London.
Great choice for a young couple visiting London!”
My husband and I (both 29yrs old) stayed in MyBloomsburry 6 nights while visiting London from Paraguay, and we couldn’t be more happy. Great central location but not in the middle of the turisty buzz. We had 3 breakfast options in less than a block radius, and a short walk to Tottenham Court Station for the underground we took almost every day (which connects perfectly well with the enire city). The first night we stayed there, the AA wasn’t working in our room so we slept with the window slightly opened (noisy in the mornings, but no biggie). The next morning, the friendly staff changed our rooms while we left our bags packed and went around town. At night when we got back, our bags were in our new room, where everything worked perfectly and the room was even bigger than the original one :) Overall, we had a great experience here and would definitely recommend this hotel! Great service and accommodation, everything was clean a new!
Great overnight stay”
The room is small but typical for London. The bed was comfortable and the location ideal. Lots of restaurants nearby. Check out the delicious Indian restaurant called Chettinad. Breakfast options in the morning are fast and adjacent to the lobby. My cappuccino and quiche from Gail's bakery were yummy. I like that checkout was at 12pm. Good hair dryer in the room. Window blinds were better than typical curtains. Not too much street noise. The British Museum is just down the street but get there early, it was busy on a Monday. At night the temperature dropped and it got very cold. I realized that the heater wasn't working. The receptionist apologized and said that they were working on fixing the heat. Within 10 minutes all was well. Staff was wonderful!
Great location and welcoming staff”
When I arrived in the taxi I was juggling my luggage on the pavement when one of the reception staff shot out of the hotel to help me with my suitcases! It was too early to gain access to my room but the staff took my cases and asked would I like them to try and get me an earlier check in. The room was tiny but that's to be expected in central London. I'm much more concerned with the comfort. The linen on the beds and the pillows were really comfortable and good quality cotton. Right on top of Tottenham Court Road, I'd definitely stay there again.
great location and comfy room”
bed not that soft but can be more firm. location is great, just minutes to oxford street and british museum. great service by the staff too. a few restaurant nearby but is okay, more of them is walking distance away. there is a super market nearby too. It will be good if hotel can provide complimentary bottle water. book a single room with abt 10m2 room size, enough for one person stay. towel rack can be heated up and this room has aircon control and heater which make goos winter stay too. will book again if coming to london next time.
Perfect location!”
I stayed at MyBloomsbury with my adult son befor he started his semester abroad in London. The adjacent restaurant and coffee/pastry shop had the most delicious breakfasts and the pub at the corner (Jack Horner’s Pie and Ale) were a great compliment to an already convenient location and pleasant accommodation. Close to the underground, shops (Muji!), the pharmacy, and the British Museum. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great value and good quality!
Okay room, but could have been better ”
I booked an overnight stay at the hotel as myself and my girlfriend were going to the theatre and didn't want to worry about having to get the last train home. The photos online of the hotel made it look like a boutique, modern hotel. We got to our room and it was no better than a bog-standard Holiday Inn. It was okay for one night as it was there when we needed it, but I wouldn't recommend staying here any more than that. After all, I woke up with an aching back as the bed was pretty hard just after one night so wouldn't be sure how my back would feel after a week. The bed creaked a lot as well when just moving in the night so if either of us shuffled we would wake up. One good thing was that the staff were friendly and it was clean. In asking them about the quality of the room compared to the photos, "because the building is Victorian some rooms have been renovated, but others haven't" an excuse but not a great one. Overall it was alright but could have been better
Suitable for shoppers who do not seek comfort”
My stay at the hotel was generally decent as I was not in the hotel for the most part of the day. I had a single room for 1 and it was very small ,it was just right for one person traveling with only a hand luggage. I couldn't imagine being able to bring one big luggage on top of a hand carry bag into the room. The lift is very small and slow so I ended up walking the stairs more often than not. Although the hotel offers free wifi, it was very slow and drops out very much. The shower head was loose and water leaked down from it. Having said that, it's a nice location 5 minutes from oxford street. It is also very close to the tube station - Tottenhams Court RD but the central line does not stop there for the rest of 2015. I recommend it to shoppers who are not looking for luxury and excellent comfort. I am somewhat likely to return to this hotel in the future but hopefully i will book a bigger room if there happens to be a suitable price.
Great location”
Great pick in London, nice location with a lot of restaurants and cafe around . 5mm walk to subway and 15mn to Covent Garden. The hotel is quite nice, room was spacious but super simple, don’t expect anything fancy. Very nice bakery for breakfast Helpful and friendly staff
Location.”
My stay at the Bloomsbury was good. The only negative was the size of the room. Especially the shower which gave you very little room. I actually struggled to get in the shower. Although the room was very small it was still comfortable.
Great location”
This hotel was a little old, but overall, it provided everything we needed for just one night in London. Location is perfect, walking distance from some major attractions. The room was spacious, considering the hotel room size in London. Friendly staff.
Pleasant stay”
Room was cosy but still comfortable and clean. Would have been better if there was another chair though as one of us had to stand to eat take-out food that we had bought to the hotel. The little restaurant attached did not have much items on the menu but the vicinity had everything so no complaints. Sainsbury was just opposite the hotel and Tottenham Court Road train station was about a 5-min walk away. I would go back again as the price for the location is considered good.
Needs to fix some of the basics ”
Air conditioning in the room didn't work, told it would be fixed the next day then told it couldn't be fixed. Room unbearably hot as it was summer, which made sleeping difficult. Was provided a fan on the last night. Toilet flush didn't work (as mentioned in other reviews). Took 5 attempts of plunging the flush lever to get the toilet to flush. No in room safe as mentioned on the website: staff seemed as surprised as me as the searched the room for it! Good location, clean and with nice staff who tried to find solutions given the things in the room not working.
Nice hotel ”
Good location, easy waking around, price is reasonable, if I back to London I will stay here again .
pretty good”
I stayed a single room. The room was pretty nice. Room's facilities are very modern. I love it. It also staffs are kinds. If I visited London I will stay here. But shower booth is very small and view is not good. (my room view was not in front building)
Exceptional”
My room was clean and staffs were helpful the location was close to everything I will visit again when I go to London :)
Superb bed, restful sleep!”
Stayed for 2 nights in a fantastic spacious room with a very spacious and bigger than normal bathroom. Bed was the most comfortable I had by far compared to all the hotels I had stayed in. And serious, I am not exaggerating as I am a very light sleeper and "difficult to please" when it comes to bedding affairs. Hotel staff were great, friendly and always ready to help. The Gail's Kitchen and Gail's Artisan Bakery, located next to the hotel (actually linked) also serve great breakfast. It is also a stone throw away from Oxford Street and British Museum. Definitely a recommended hotel, especially for a Standard Double Room.
