Nagasaki Nisshokan Hotel
Splendid view and time travel”
The view is worth the visit. It is very impressive to see both the night view and dawn. The hotel seems indeed a bit like a hotel spaceship from former times and there is a sense of bygone times. However, in my case the room was generally clean, very spacious and the public bath clean and pleasant. Breakfast was good, with a variety of choices. It was a very pleasant stay for me. I have seen this hotel advertised as a three star hotel at other places. Tip: Check the shuttle bus times on the hotel's website.
Nice view, friendly staff, needs maintenance”
The rooms are nice, they are big and have a good view. Bath house is relaxed to be in and free of charge. Beds are comfortable (western style). Room has cosy tatami floor. Only thing we didn’t like is that it is a bit outdated and therefore not soundproof. Chinese guests are noisy and the room doors don’t close quietly and hallways are poorly insulated.
Great view of the bay with very large room”
an old hotel that needs some refurbishment but offers great view of the bay day & night. Room is the largest I stay in my trip around Kyushu
Amazing View, Bathroom a bit Dirty”
Great hotel, delicious breakfast, breathtaking view, but a bathroom a bit dirty and old. Great pickup service.
Japanese style hotel in old fashioned setting ,but the night view of the city is stunning ”
Pros, attractive night view spot, spacey room Cons, location is hard to found even we are driving with gps device, the facilities are too old ,even the air conditioner is installed on the ground of the hotel room.
Fantastic night views and exceptional value”
The Nagasaki Nisshokan Hotel is essentially a large ryokan that is set high on a hillside overlooking Nagasaki Harbour. Nagasaki is said to have one of the world's most beautiful night city views, and the views from the hotel did not disappoint. I booked it because of its unbelievable value for two, including a full buffet breakfast, and free shuttle buses to and from Nagasaki Railway Station. The room had tatami mats, three double futon beds, and a sunken spa bath. The hotel itself has separate large spa s for men and women. The staff spoke escellent English, and were very helpful and informative. I would recommend the hotel as one of the best value hotels I have experienced in my many visits to Japan, and is of exceptional value. I would have no hesitation in staying again on my next visit to Nagasaki, and would recommend the hotel without any reservation whatsoever.
Great view of Nagasaki”
Great view, good breakfast, spacious room. Free shuttle bus to station. Hotel is dated, no nearby restaurants or convenience stores.
japanese style room is good and foods is great
room facility is too old, but clean .
An old hotel trying very hard to keep up. It has nice views of the city.
Quiet but too far up the hill”
The hotel is too far up the hill. We had to take taxi up and doen. There is a free shuttle bus back and forth from JR station but need to take a tram or taxi from there to go to interesting places anyway. It's good for those who drive but again the parking space is limited. The good things about this hotel is a great view lookin down from where it is to Nagasaki city and the room is big. Also the buffet breakfast and dinner are worth every penny we paid for.
Need to improve the facility”
Facility is too old , but buffet is valuable especially with Nakasaki night view, pls upgrade the facility
Good view and big room”
We stay at block 3, the building was a bit old and we have to change lift in order to reach our floor, walk quite a long dist from main entrance to block 3.Very quiet because main facilities are in block 1 and 2..
Great size room”
This hotel seems more geared to their own nationality. Understanding of English was not great. The restaurant was expensive and did not look to have a great atmosphere. The free bus shuttle was a bonus as it is far from the city centre and high up the side of the hill, however, you had to discover about it on your arrival! The people in the Tourist Office at the station were most helpful here. We had the largest room of any hotel we had visited, which is unusual, as I find with booking via Agoda or similar you normally get the worst rooms, in far ends of the hotel, or in this case view was not good and next to noisy machinery.
Slightly away from town centre but great view”
It would help to have a slice of mountain goat in your gene pool if you want to walk in and out of town from this hotel. Free shuttle bus welcome but limited frequency. The Japanese Bath is exquisite and included in the tariff. No other westerners when we were there so rather unique. Sound proofing in rooms not good but breakfast and dinner very good. No internet access but internet cafe in town. Great view over Nagasaki Harbour and lighta at night.
Very nice hotel with a great view over Nagasaki”
Spacious rooms with a great view over Nagasaki, nice hot bath, good service of bus to Nagasaki station, quiet Breakfast to be improved (too early + food)
Hill top hotel with spectacular night view of city”
The hourly Shuttle bus from Nagasaki station to hotel is convenient
Hotel is located on a hill overlooking Nagasaki city. Easy access to the Nagasaki train station, where you will find the streetcar line and the local trains too. Free parking onsite. There are a set of stairs that leads you down to the street near Nagasaki station. The walk down is about 15 minutes. The hotel has a free shuttle to and from Nagasaki station, but there are only certain times it picks up at the hotel. Room and bathroom, were very spacious. Overall, we had a great stay.
Pas un 4 étoiles ATTENTION”
Nous avons eux 2 choix de chambres horrible et malpropre, très forte odeur de cigarettes alors que nous avions des chambres non-fumeurs. Je n'y coucherais pas.
