Awesome hotel!”
Stayed in this hotel for the second time during my recent visit again to Nagoya. Everything was pleasant. On touchdown, could easily hop onto the airport limousine bus, directly to the hotel. Conveniently located to the nearest subway station (this is important to me as a solo traveller!) Room was clean and kept in a pristine state. Many restaurant options too at the hotel. Would love to stay again at this hotel if I return to Nagoya for the third time!

Great Hotel with Great Staff and Service”
This hotel is amazing from the moment you arrive. The staff is helpful and professional and the facilitiesmare great. Everything is clean and the location is close to everything. I speak Japanese so comunication is very easy, but I have seem the staff help people who can’t speak much Japanese and they are amazing in helping those customers too!

Exceptional”
The front desk staff and valet services were outstanding. More of them can understand and communicate in English. I think a big improvement from my last visit 5 years ago. convenient to shipping and eating places walking or by short cab rides. The quiet park across the street was useful for open-air down times. Also, room rates were reasonable. I booked two rooms for my family. Will return here on my next trip to Nagoya.

I'll Choose again the Kanko”
I definitely will add the Kanko to my top 5 places to stay in Nagoya. I have visited Nagoya for business more than 30 times over the past 10 yrs, but this was my first stay at the Kanko. I have walked past it numerous times, but I never went inside until my stay in early Sept-2010. It lives up to it billing as a luxury hotel. I had a one of their larger "double deluxe" rooms, and it was very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful, which is typical in Japan for any 4-star hotel or better, and the staff at the Kanko was no exception. I did not see many western people at the Kanko, and in fact I can recall seeing any other than myself, but that was not in any way a problem. I felt always welcome, and I liked the fact the Kanko is not just another big western hotel sitting in a foreign land. The hotel is in an awkward middle ground between the Nagoya Stn, and the closest subway stop. Therefore, if a 20-30 minute walk is not favorable for you, you'll be stuck with taking a taxi to many destinations. However, there are numerous good restaurants in the hotel and within close walking distance, but the big shopping centers, and the night life centers will be a 20-30 minute walk. I like hiking, and so I enjoy long walks, but others may not. The area near the hotel is safe for walking at any time of day or night. The buffet restaurant located adjacent to the lobby is popular, and provided a good variety. You won't regret your stay at the Kanko.

Nice hotel in a good location”
After booking the hotel I check the map and found that I was fooled by the photo of the hotel as it shown from the map that between the garden and the hotel there is a 6 lane road ...one of the main road in Nagoya downtown so I expected to be noisy but my room is not noisy at all. the room is nearby the main business and commerical area in walking distance about 15 to 20 mins walking. Just need a 5 mins walking to the back of the hotel there is a street full of restaurant and 8 mins you can reach Hilton Hotel. From the hotel walking towards Nagoya station, about 2 mins there is a 7-11 so you can have anything you need. The staff in the hotel is being well trained and very vert efficient and polite. If you stay in the hotel, you will find the person in the car park handling the cars and taxi waiting at the parking lot is really a not easy works but due to the class of the hotel and the location a lot of guest is not staying in the hotel but dining in there which make the traffic very busy there. For a short stay in Kano hotel we have no chance to try their restaurant but we believe if we visit Nagoya again, we will still choosing Kano hotel to stay. P.S. airport shuttle bus also stopped by KanKo...

Great Service and old but nice room.”
I stayed the hotel with my 13 years & 9 years old boys for two night in Delax twin room. The hotel stuff's service was great! The room was good size and the price was reasonable. The location are walking distance from the science centre and other museums. But, for shopping not the best location. Overall we are very happy and enjoyed stay at Kanko hotel We'll stay again next time visit Nagoya for sure!

Had our wedding party at the Kanko hotel and they upgraded our room for free!! They are very generous and the staff are nice and corteous! Mr. Mori, our wedding coordinator is the best ever!! Kanko hotel deserves to be in the top 3 of the best hotels in Nagoya Japan!!

Hotel with many good things to offer”
The hotel is a 20-minute leisurely walk from the Nagoya station, is surrounded by restaurants, stores, and has a nice park right in front. The room is clean and has all the necessary amenities. There was free wi-fi in the room but couldn't be accessed in the lobby or other parts of the hotel. There was a nice fitness room with a good variety of exercise equipment. The staff were very helpful. The only minor thing I didn't like was that there were always three or four vacuum cleaners and other housekeeping equipment parked in the hallway, and in the morning, all the doors of rooms that are supposed to be cleaned are just left open with all the dirty linens and towels dumped on the floors -- without any of the cleaners around. That was no big deal, though-- I guess that's their housecleaning system.

Highly recommended”
This newly renovated hotel is located at a convenient location between Nagoya JR station and the Sakae district, which takes approx. 10-15 mins walk to both popular tourist attractions. Large parking space (~250) is provided for free. The staff is helpful and nice.

Excellent”
Overall good. Locating in the mtr station between Nagoya staton and Sakae station, therefore not very crowd and convenience with sufficient restaurants, convenient shops and pharmacy around as it located. Very near the Science Museum just 3 streets distance by walk. Bed too soft especially for double bed.

Good location & laxuary room”
Fushimi station is just one stop away from Nagoya station, and you can get to Sakae by foot. Very convenient location and the room was clean and comfortable even tho the hotel itself is kinda old.

Elegant & Prestige ”
This Nagoya Kanako 80th anniversary hotel is so classy. You will feel like being with other guests who are MP or Senators in DC. All staff in every functions having Hugh competency to fulfil their tasks. The location is closed to the subway station but cost 200 ¥ in every ride going to shopping areas. By the way, it is one the airport bus stops at cost of 1,200 ¥ one way to airport or coming to hotel.

This is a great hotel and staff a brilliant, helpful, polite and very friendly but professional as well.Rooms are a little older, but in fantastic condition and spotless. The reception received my online purchases and placed them in the room for my arrival and also arranged to ship my excess purchases back to Australia for me from the hotel. Very Very service

pretty good location but a bit torn down !! ”
as a first time visitor to nagoya city, this location can be considered as good for biz trip rather than for vacation as i have noticed most buildings in the vicinity are office complexes. the hotel is located not far from subway rail and the map shown on the street can be easily located. room size is very appropriate but no wi-fi provided considering a weakness under today's rquirements. bed and mattress are nice - giving me a sweet dream after a 5 hrs travelling from home to hotel some restaurants can be fond in the nearby even during mid nite. this is a plus. generally, deco is a bit torn down and i guess some major up grading works will be required in the soonest. as i need to take train to another city in the next day, i would prefer some hotels located just at the ngoya station as i need to chanage the subway.

Stayed here during the Japan F1 Grand Prix and would recommend it to anyone staying in Nagoya. Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly. Lots of restaurants & shops nearby.
