Great Service”
The Meitetsu line from Centrair will take you to Nagoya and Kanayama train station. The hotel is located only 2 to 3 stations away from Nagoya Station and Kanayama Station, hence it is faster and much cheaper to take the subway than to take a taxi from either of the station to the hotel. Both Nagoya and Kanayama are main stations that can take you to different parts of Japan, so it is very convenient. In terms of food, the cafe offers good pastery at the lobby. Or just a stone throw away is Tully's Coffe, located at exit 8 of Sakae station, which you can get something to bite.

Great access and affordable”
It was a good decision that we selected Nagoya Kokusai Hotel. Great access to Sakae Subway Station. Even some tourist attractions are nearby, just a few minutes away. The extra bed for the Triple Room is not that comfortable though, maybe they should consider replacing it to a more comfortable one. Staff are great, some know how to speak English but be prepared with more Japanese language conversation. The hotel seems to be in renovation, the first few floors seems to have been redone. the room that we were in are old but satisfactory.

Great Kokusai”
It is well located in the downtown of Nagoya City, just a few minutes away from Sakae subway station exit 8. The entire shopping aread is under your feet, you can immerse in shopping the whole day. It is within walking distance, 10 min, to Oasis 21, a nice building. The staff are very friendly and they all speak very good English, there will be no communication difficulty at all. If you wish to make day trips away from Nagoya, the tourist information desk is there to offer advice. The rooms have no view but they are clean and comfortable. There is no much of a variety in the choice of TV channels but it's not a concern to me. Will stay there again the next time.

Convenient location - Comfortable rooms.”
Location wise, Nagoya Kokusai Hotel is located in excellent location. It is located less than two minutes’ walk away the Sakae Station (from Exit No. 8 of the Sakae subway station). Staff service is pretty good and helpful. Good point is, they can speak English well and always helpful for nearest sightseeing locations.

Nice place in the city centre”
Easy check-in with a coffee shop in the foyer. Room was very clean and comfortable, however the the bed was too hard (same as the other hotel we stayed at in Nagoya). Buffet breakfast was cheap, but that would describe the food selection. You can easily walk to the shopping and eating areas, and if you want to walk about 30 mins to Nagoya station, why not stop half way and enjoy the High Tea in the foyer of the Hilton Hotel...very good. I would probably stay here again.

Very convenient and luxury ”
I booked single rooms but upgraded to twin room. This hotel is a not business hotel but city hotel without price. I am very comfort to clean and large room as well as it’s venue. I really recommend NAGOYA Kokusai Hotel.

Great hotel”
This is a great hotel. I've stayed there in the past and the service was great, location is perfect, rooms were big for Japan standards and I again love the location. Just walking distance from Otsu dori or the hot spot of Sakae is key. My favorite bar called the Hub is a Foreigners bar that has english speaking staff is just literally downstairs out the exit to the left and that place has the cheapest draft beers and drink specials which is key as the yen is so strong. Rooms clean and big for Japan standards again which means you can open your suitcase in your room and standard US size bath tubs which is hard to find in Japan.

Friendly Staff”
After the trip from Takayama, we still chose to stay in this hotel for one simple reason. It is its great location and the staff who speak wonderful English, unlike what I encountered in other hotels where communication could be a pain at times. It is only 10 minutes by subway to Nagoya Station and Kanayama station where all other main trains run through. In terms of food, you can get them just a stone through away from the entrance of the hotel, 24 hours Matsuya curry rice.

Great location, Good value for money!”
Centrally located in shopping and dining areas ('Sakae'). Easy to commute to anywhere via subway (two stops to Nagoya Central Station). Walk-able to Nagoya TV Tower and OASIS 21. The room is small but cleaned and comfy. Staff is good in English and quite attentive. Breakfast is just so-so. No WIFI internet in room, only LAN. (WIFI only in the lobby ).

Good location, big room”
the hotel is located at the heart of nagoya city. just 5 minutes walk to the sakae subway station.thousands of shops and restaurants in walking distance. huge malls and underground shopping center just around the corner indeed. the hotel is a bit aged, but neat and clean. the room is big when comparing to other hotels i've stayed in japan. consider the location and the size of the room, it's a bargain.

Value for Money”
It is not as modern as other hotels but it sure is worthy of your money. It is 2-3 minute walk from Sakae station exit 8 (with an escalator!). Very near donki and shopping districts. Room is being cleaned everyday and new towels/toiletries were being provided.

Value for money!”
The breakfast of 400Yen is very reasonable and the coffee is good. Very easy to move around on foot as it is near Nagoya TV Tower, Oasis 21, Osu Kanon, Science Museum. Very convenient as it is less than 5 minutes walking distance to Sakae Subway or Sakae Metro stations.

Good Location and Happy with the service and room ”
i stayed in nagoya international hotel 3 nights. i is located at the city center, just beside the sakaye subway 8 exit. one can get easy access to the sakaye bus stop. moreover, one restaurant of japanese cuisine is located at the basement of this hotel, where one can get various traditional japanese dices such as sushi, sushimi, various japanese tea served by old japanese ladies wearing kimonos. another dining cum bar is located at the top floor of the hotel from where one can enjoy night city view with enjoying sake. overall the ambiance of the hotel is international standard. i strongly recommend this hotel for them who wish to visit nagoya.

The solo adventurer's review: A business-like place”
My reviews are always for the solo adventurers. I know families and the more... shall I say - demanding - folks have different expectations, but I write as a solo adventurer. Here goes: The good: Staff were really nice. My air-con broke down, and he gave me the suite. Yo! The most expensive room, for free! The lobby has a very nice business-feel to it; there was a business conference when I was there. The bad: The regular rooms are really, really dated. I can imagine the average traveler will be quite upset about it. But hey! If you're an adventurer, ain't no problem at all! I don't really care about space, but even so I got to say - boy, was it a tight squeeze. The street outside the hotel was quite dirty, but in general that part of Nagoya was quite shabby... not sure why. Oh, and here's the kicker -- there's an abandoned factory/building beside this hotel, and my window has no view but a sordid building with dark windows. Really could make do with a better view -__-
