Another pleasant stay at the Tokyu”

Comfortable beds, and a great shower
Carpets are a bit worn and stained.

I visit to Nagoya 3-4 times per year, and for years I have stayed that one of the well known "western" hotel chains. On a recent trip to Nagoya, I decided to give the Tokyu a try since it would save me about 80-USD per night. I recalled staying at the Tokyu perhaps 10 years ago. When I arrived at the Tokyu, I was greeted with great coutesy, which is common at all fine hotels in Japan. My check-in was smooth, and I was escorted to my room quickly and efficiently. This was a follow-up stay, and I had left my bags with the hotel while i took an overnight bag to Osaka. My bags were ready and waiting when i arrive this second time. The rooms are a bit smaller than the Hilton, but larger than the Marriott Associa. The rooms are more Japanese in their design and decor compared to these western hotels, and I found the bed extremely comfortable, and the shower was excellent. The bathroom amenities are typical of a 4-star in Japan, and I was happy to see that the hotel has installed soap dispensers in the shower so I can avoid creating more trash by using a tiny shampoo bottle once. The single use bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and soap are all still provided, but I chose to use the dispenser products instead, and I was satisfied completely. Razors, toothbrushes, and other assorted items are provided along with hair dressing and aftershave. My only disappointment was with the room carpets. I stayed in two different rooms over the course of a week, and the carpets in both had small cigarette burns, and other small stains, but otherwise the room was in fine condition.

Fancy hotel for a great price!”

Central location, convenient to subway, courteous staff, clean rooms, hallways, and lobbies.

We missed the last direct train from Osaka to Tokyo, so we found ourselves stranded in Nagoya for the evening. By a stroke of luck, we found that the Nagoya Tokyu Hotel had a double room available, so we decided to spring for it. We were able to arrive at the hotel relatively easily using the Nagoya subway system. The well-decorated lobby was a great surprise, and the rooms and hallways were clean. By far the greatest part of our stay was the professionalism and courtesy of the hotel staff. I hadn't been able to print agoda's voucher, so the front desk staffer was willing to wait until I was set up in a room before asking me to put it on a USB drive so he could print it. Their patience and flexibility was excellent. In addition, for travelers from the US, the staff has a good number of employees who speak English (or at least will put up with my butchery of the Japanese language!) In total, a great find for an accidental stopover in a great city.

Great Modern Hotel for a Good Price”

Cleanliness, Modern, Convenient

It was great. The staff were very welcoming and the hotel room is perfect for one person. To me how modern and cleaniness is really important and Nagoya Tokyu Hotel was exceptional. The amenities were up to par too. The location was very convenient, a short walk to lots of food and Oasis 21. if I were to visit Nagoya again, I would definitely stay here.

Excellent Service in Luxury Hotel”

Does what it says on the label

i got a special deal because it was the 25th anniversary... otherwise, this hotel would have been too expensive for me normally. as it was - a night of luxuriation (as opposed to mere luxury, which could have been accidental; this was deliberate. i may have just made the word up). what you'd expect from a hotel of this class. but surprisingly elegant, managed a warmth and distinctiveness that a lot of luxury hotel chains don't quite manage. it is also an excellent location, between sakae and shinsakae, the more salubrious nightlife centre of nagoya.

Very excelent hotel and services”

Nice lobby, nice room, nice bed and extraordinary services
no train station is located near the hotel

It was very excellent hotel. Once you arrived all staff give warm greetings and the lobby atmosphere also very nice. All staffs are able to speak in English. They help us a lot for our special request, to bring a pet, they were searching the way how to solve this problem since the hotel doesn't allow to bring a pet. After they tried their best, they told us that there is a pet hotel that not too far from the hotel and they book the pet hotel for us. Same thing when we were about to depart to the airport they checked the easiest and cheapest way to go to the airport for us. Also they have complete list for good restaurant around the hotel, we tried 2 of the restaurants that on the list and they were very delicious. And also the hotel price is very cheap if you compare with the luxury stay that you get, the location and superb services. This is my first time staying in Tokyu hotel, but if there is any more chance, I will definitely stay in this hotel again

Pleasant Suprise”

Fantastic staff - superb rooms - HUGE ROOM
location left a bit to be desired (bit of a distance from station and no good shops close by)

The Tokyu was a bit of a lavish luxury to me and my friend on the trip, we got it at a good deal but we did not expect it to be as good as it was. The staff were incredibly friendly taking our bags to our room and contacting us when the room was ready. They not only pronouced my last name correctly (no easy challenge) but also remembered it over our stay. They provided us with a map of Nagoya and when noticing we were leaving straight away provided a smaller one with the tourist attractions marked out to make it easier for us. Internet, while a login is completely free and quick. For our room we were also provided a free upgrade as the room we requested was un avaliable, no complaints at all.

The Tokyu is a "Keeper"”

Location, location, location

I visit Nagoya 3-4 times a year, and I have stayed at several different 4-5 star hotels in the city. The Tokyu is among my top 3, and I always check its availability. It tends to be less available on weekends, and therefore more expensive, and under those circumstances I stay elsewhere. The Tokyu is a good place to stay if you can get a notable discount, but it is not worth the rack rate.

Reliable, reasonable hotel”

The Nagoya Tokyu Hotel is a couple of stations away from Nagoya Station, which is a slight inconvenience if you are taking the shinkansen or other lines from there. However, the neighborhood itself is full of interesting restaurants and bars, some of which the friendly staff at the hotel recommended. My friend in a room nearby thought the air conditioning was a bit wonky. However, the main shortcoming for me was that the pool and fitness area were a bit expensive. Aside from that, this is a reliable, reasonable hotel in a pretty fun area of town.

Great service and value for money”

The staff are always respectful and helpful.: a plus is the competence in English amongst the front desk and other front-line staff. Good value for money for its clean and cozy rooms and location which is just a 5-min walk to the nearest subway station Sakae. The Centrair airport limousine bus stops there so it is fuss-free getting to the Nagoya Chubu airport. Highly recommended!

The room was small but fully equipped: free internet access, HD TV, etc. The hotel staff commands good English and provides very good hospitality and service.
