Great value for money!”
Very happy with Nakara Longreach Resort, we chose this resort on recommendation from friends who had stayed a couple weeks prior. The resort is going through some updates so there is a bit of construction but its not too loud or inconvenient. We booked a Superior suite but were immediately upgrade to a Deluxe which was closer to the beach and right in front of the pool (very nice and clean), perfect for us. Rooms are clean, there are some lizards and bugs around but thats a given due to the location near the beach and the vegetation around the island. Staff was really friendly and helpful, especially the front desk ladies helping us book tours and transfers. We also rented a motorbike for a day from the front desk, relatively inexpensive and almost required if you want to travel around Koh Lanta. We just needed to leave a piece of ID as repost before we returned the keys. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the breakfast buffet, it was okay -- only had an omelette/egg station 1 out of the 4 breakfasts we had and everything else was subpar. The sunset is very beautiful from long beach! I would definitely recommend staying here and if I find myself back in Koh Lanta, I will be a returning customer!

Excellent stay”
My second time staying at Nakara Longbeach. It is located right on the beach. The cabins are clean, beautiful and spacious. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Everything at Nakara is just exellent. I will never stay at any other place than Nakara. I highly recommend Nakara Longbeach for you holiday in Koh Lanta.

Pleasantly surprised - cheap and nice!!”
we weren't expecting much for the money we paid, but were very very happy with our room! it looked brand new with cute little balcony and flat screen tv. i highly reccommend this place. breakfast was nice also, standard indo breakfast. pool also nice and clean. no noise. we had friends stay at lanta resort for double the price, but they wanted to swap to our resort room. for some reason nakara aren't allowed to put their chairs on the beach, maybe it's cause they don't pay an additional tax or something? it shouldn't really matter cause you can sit along the beach but you never know, some people are fussy.

Really nice stay”
While Long Beach is not my favorite beach on the island the Nakara Longbeach Resort was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. They answered questions via e-mail prior to our arrival and helped us arrange trips and rentals while we were there. The food isn't great but is served by a kind and attentive staff. The bungalow cottages are lovely and clean. The one thing that must change are the doors. While the sliding glass doors allow light and access to the sea the locking mechanisms are HORRIBLY faulty. We were both locked in and unable to lock the door from the outside. This happened often. Someone always came quickly to help but it was still a problem. Often we didn't lock the door at all as it was a real hassle. Other then the door, the place was great. Very attractive and staffed by good people.

Great beach and you're right there on it”
We enjoyed the Nakara Longbeach Resort. At first we weren't sure how our stay would be as the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but after 3 days we didn't want to leave it behind. The location is great, right on a quiet, quality stretch of Long Beach. Breakfast was good, tour boats picked us up right from the shore. Massages were cheap (standard Thai pricing rather than inflated resort pricing). The front desk staff were really great - nice, outgoing, helpful.

Wonderful resort, great value for money ”
We loved Nakara, it's a really nice resort. The location is perfect, just by the beautiful beach. The bungalows are spacious enough, clean, nice and comfortable with good air conditioning and good wifi. The stuff was very helpful, nice and with decent English (I read in some previous reviews quite poor comments about the stuff but we didn't experience that. We found Nakara's people really nice, helpful and professional). Breakfast was rather the same every day, however, it's quite a big variety. I'm vegetarian and I had enough options for myself as well. And it's a really great value for money. We very much enjoyed staying in Nakara and strongly recommend this place

Refurbished Bungalows”
Kho Lanta is a much quieter option to Phuket with fantastic white sandy beaches. Nakara Longbeach Resort had very clean rooms with brand new large bathrooms (which was very much appreciated when we arrived with sick children). The buffet breakfasts were good and the pool was nice and clean and a welcome change of scenery when our young kids tired of the salty ocean.

Pretty nice hotel with a nice beachside.”
it was a splendid experience of staying in nakara longbeach resort. a very nice beach with lovely sand, but not same white as in was on phi-phi or similan. very nice stuff provided us a lot of useful information about places around the hotel. very clean and comfortable rooms with soft beds, tv, fridge and even a safe-box.

Beautiful beach & friendly staff !!”
We have just returned from staying 5 days at Nakara. We are grandparents and we shared a double cottage with our son's family which included 2 young children. We had a wonderful time !! I will just list the pros & cons: Pros: right on the beach- beautiful beach. staff was very friendly and wanted to provide for all your needs. Beautiful sunsets !!! Many friendly visitors from Sweden; Finland; and Denmark. Many young children for our grandchildren to play with. 2 pools: 1 children's pool with an area for very young kids. Enough chairs for everyone. Nice porch that we spent lots of time on. Restuarant was good with wide variety of foods. Thai plus steaks and chicken dishes. Breakfast was very good !! Plenty of food provided. Bathroom in our cottages had been updated. Nice !! There were many resturaunts located just a short walk from the resort. Many families would go out walk down the beach a bit and eat and enjoy a beautiful stoll back to the resort. Cons: No chairs in the rooms to sit upon once the sun had gone down and the misquitoes were out. Yes, we could sit on the bed but since there were 4 adults in our double cottage, this was often uncomfortable. The wooden floors in our cottage were beautiful but there were some areas that needed repair and we worried about our grandchildren picking up splinters. The water in the potty and shower had a brown color and smelled just a bit. It is not a deal breaker but sometimes it was bothersome. Beach chairs and umbrellas were not allowed on the beach area in front of the resort. The sign stated it was a city ordinance yet we noted other resorts down the beach with chairs and umbrellas. Yet, there were many chairs that lined the boardwalk area right in front of the resort that made up for not being able to place chairs on the beach. Most folks seemed very content to be on the boardwalk out of the sand and overlooking the beautiful sea. Our entire family had a wonderful time.

Great location and value!!!”
Good service, and a (relatively) clean hotel located right on the beach. Beach is absolutely wonderful and there aren't rocks. Great value for the money, especially during the holidays (and booked last-minute). You won't be sorry with the location--many good restaurants and bars are located around the town to the north and scattered down the main road and beach to the south--so you are right in the middle of the action. Great location on Long Beach. Renting a motorbike (possible at the hotel) is a must, if you want to see the island. There are several tours and activities which can be arranged at the front desk (which is typical for hotels in Lanta). There are some restaurants within walking distance on the main street, and there are several restaurants down the beach in either direction. Getting around by tuk-tuk is practical, if you don't want to risk renting a motorbike. Breakfast is standard for southern Thailand--nothing fancy, but not bad. We had identical breakfasts in Phuket and Khao Lak. There are two pools. The main pool near the front desk is about 5 meters x 10 meters and usually has a few people in and around it. The second, smaller pool is usually pretty vacant, for some reason, but not bad. There is a massage booth next to the hotel for reasonable rates. When the hotel was at full-capacity during the 2016-2017 winter holidays, it didn't feel very crowded. The atmosphere was very relaxed and tranquil, and we would often not be bothered by anyone around the hotel at night. Besides a few random young, drunk Europeans. Note that the hotel is currently building quite a few extra rooms on the southeast side of the hotel (about 20), but this shouldn't add too much discomfort (breakfast might be a little crowded in the future, however). We stayed in a bungalow with an ocean view (most rooms are bungalows). The room is a bit dated (looks to be about 10-15 years old and maybe rebuilt after the 2004 tsunami), but no major issues. Idyllic resort on the beachfront ”
Love Nakara Beach Resort, 3rd stay for us. Staff are amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast has an egg station, fruits, meats, cereal, yoghurt. More vegetarian dishes would be great. 2 pools to choose from. Just walk up the beach for restaurants and bars. Fire show on a couple of nights at the resort. Safe located in the room Good A/C. 3.8 Kim’s from Saladan with lots of shopping and restaurants Some food carts as well. 100 baht tuk tuk into town. Looking forward to next years visit

Nice resort, amazing beach and friendly staff”
nakara is directly onto one of koh lanta's many beautiful beaches. this means you can step out of your bedroom and are only a stones throw from the beach. as well as the beach nakara has a lovely pool with plenty of sun loungers. the staff are helpful when needed to book any excursions or mopeds, etc saving you time haggling with tour operators. also the breakfast included is plentiful and will ensure you won't go hungry

Nice Beach Hotel”
We had three weeks in Lanta Long Beach posted. The Deluxe Bungalow has a very nice sea view. The Lanta Long Beach Resort is part of the newer Nakara Resort. The restaurant is in Nakara for both hotels, etc. because of breakfast. The pool in Long Beach is small but quiet. The restaurant is the famous Thai friendliness not found. Nearby are located directly on Starnd some good to very good cheap Thai restaurants. At Lanta easy to rent a moped, worth it. Dive and Relax in Castaway with Bianca is the best dive center on the beach.

Good location, really nice bungalows”
The resort was ok for what we needed. Bungalow was really new, with modern furniture and nice bathroom + A/C and frige available. Helpful staff to manage our requirements (airport transfer, breakfast package) Breakfast was more "mass tourism" than quality oriented, but still ok, you could find the basics like bread, eggs, tea, fresh fruit, ham... There was both European and Asian section. Resort has a good location on long beach, some restaurants and bars nearby. Mini market 5-10 min. by walk. Suggest to go to the port for dinner. (tuk-tuk 50THB/pers; there is also a big market, if you like some shopping. Lanta is not my favorite island in Thailand, but in case we will visit again, will chose Nakara again.

great location and service”
stayed at the Nakara beach resort for 1 week. The location is great, right on the beach alongside several other resorts. The rooms were clean and spacious. The service at the restaurant was great and the food menu was extensive. The only downside at the restaurant was that the specials didn't change once for the week we were there.

Slightly overpriced, but beautiful hotel”
Like all resorts on Ko Lanta, Nakara began with great ambitions and has steadily declined since. The rooms were poorly built and are in desperate need of an overhaul (especially the bathrooms are poor). The bungalows are nevertheless pleasant and the surroundings cosy. The pool is excellent. Be aware that the small pool is as deep as the big one (so no kid's pool). The location is great, right on the beach with great sunset views. The staff was very helpful and friendly, two thumbs up for them.

Okay experience ”
we had an okay experience at Nakara. the location is wonderful if you want to hit the beach. very quiet. staff was friendly. pool was nice. rooms were okay. we stayed in a deluxe bungalow. it was clean. A/C hardly worked so we were quite warm throughout the nights. Shower didn't drain and toilet would hardly flush down a single piece of toilet paper. the door had a crack which let in some bugs. no phones in the room which we thought was strange. had to go to the front desk if you needed anything. all in all rooms weren't terrible.. just expected a bit more for the money we spent. restaurant was very good! we rented scooters from the main desk. they required a passport and wouldnt accept a copy but we would rather leave our passport with the resort then someone just on the street. scooters were great- highly recommend!
