“Travelled with my wheelchair Mother and Helper”
We had an awesome stay at Namba Oriental Hotel in Osaka! The location is fantastic – step out of the hotel and you're immediately surrounded by eateries, souvenir shops, and vibrant street life. It’s also conveniently close to multiple train stations and Takashimaya, which made getting around super easy. The hotel accepts both cards and cash, and check-in was smooth. Breakfast was a real highlight – great variety with both Japanese and international options. Everything was fresh and delicious. A major plus was the free guest laundry and dryer, as well as the complimentary guest lounge access from 2–10pm. There was free-flowing snacks, beverages, wine, and beer (last order at 9:30pm). A really nice touch that added value to the stay. Housekeeping was available daily upon request, and they even changed the sheets without extra charge – which was appreciated. However, a couple of downsides to mention: the room was very small and cramped, which made movement difficult, especially for my wheelchair-bound mother. I requested a simple plastic chair for the bathroom, but unfortunately, the hotel couldn’t provide one. That was disappointing, and accessibility could definitely be improved. Also noticed slight dust in room corners and on top of the bed frame. As i am severely allergic to dust mites, hence this experience wasn't the best for me. I gotta avoid coming in contact with even just a bit. Otherwise, overall cleanliness was acceptable. Despite these issues, the service, amenities, and location made this a great place to stay in Osaka. Would recommend – especially for those not needing accessibility features.
